💖The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was on the pulpit and he said:
اْر َحُمواتُْر َحُمواَواْغِفُروايَْغِفْراللَُّهلَُكْم
Be merciful to others and you will receive mercy. Forgive others and Allah will forgive you.
َولَْيْعُفواَولَْيْصَفُحواأََلاتُِحُّبوَنأَنيَْغِفَراللَُّهلَُكْمَواللَُّهَغُفوٌرَّرِحيٌم
Let them pardon and overlook. Would you not love for Allah to forgive you? Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (24:22)
Our most beloved are usually the ones we tend to hurt the most. Ironically, they are also the hardest people to forgive or be forgiven by. Naturally, negative feelings grow more and more the longer we go without forgiving others. How can we work toward mending these relationships? More importantly, why should we forgive people that have hurt us in the first place?

Amazing how each and every lecture i listen from him, i get so inspired, and become so ambitious to do better. May Allah grant him paradise. Amin.
i know this is unrelated but i felt quite sad when they showed the audience and some were on their phones not paying attention. If only they knew how lucky they are to have such conventions and passionate people to explain islam in such clarity and deal with issues that muslim communities often neglect. We don't have this in morocco, a MUSLIM country...I'm not saying that we have absolutely nothing, but not enough and especially for younger muslims...
Maybe they are taking notes on their phones, hopefully. :)

Ma shaa ALLAH so true my parents always taught us to forgive and forget and move on .Never to hold grudges and to treat others the way you want to be treated .ALHAMDULILLAH for having parents that taught us all that ALLAH commanded in the Quran .May ALLAH SWT reward all our families and may ALLAH reward my mum who was the person who brought many families together who was a daughter in law with no relatives in S africa when she got married in 1948 and became the daughter who everyone confided in and came to visit regularly and her advice was always Namnu ALLAH ke gamnu which means those who forgive first are loved by ALLAH SWT .May we all become the ones who are first to forgive and forget and thus gain ALLAHs Pleasure Aameen

Alhamdullah it’s available online but I wish I could attend one of his speeches live. It would be a dream coming true. The audience were blessed but some of them didn’t realize or appreciate that.
Dogs story is interesting. Also once my mum told me she was praying in a village and a stray dog came near her, she was frightened but kept praying. When she finished praying only then did the dog pass in front of her but never howled at her or tried to cross her whilst she prayed. Subhanallah.

Without giving you my life story, I have fought for this all my life. Through violence in my childhood, PTSD in my teens, depression in my 20's, racism towards my wife. I did my best to keep my family together. When my parents passed away my siblings stopped communication. I keep the door open, but going off what has happened I do not expect anything. I concentrate on my wife and kids. This is the best way to be. May Allah swt have mercy on us all.

Thank you and God bless you. I have been oppressed nearly all my adult life by my mother. She didnt let me get married and when I finally realised what she was doing and I took the step, it came at a time when she had already taken away my ability to have a child. She has made the 18 months since I got married, absolute Hell for me. I'm so depressed, stress and angry that I didn't even look after myself; I wasn't able to. She lies to my father about me and my sister in a bid to break our relationship with him...and it feels like she is having some success....but after watching this, I'm going to try and forgive her despite all of this, so I thank you.
you are enough Salaam dear and thank you for asking. Emotionally I am not in a good place and as you know, the emotions manifest in the physical body. But my connection with Allah, my faith is what keeps me sane and allows me to at the very least pass myself off as a normal person. Internally I am fighting myself and I’m eating myself to death. I want to scream but I can’t do that. Instead I ask for guidance on how to become stronger, be at peace and ensure I continue doing the right thing by my parents, my family.

My 1% disagreement regards your blanket statement about emails and texts :
It is important to express oneself clearly when trying to patch things up and sometimes the only way to do that is to write a letter, i.e. a thing you take time to generate,
... in whatever venue is appropriate...
because, when you talk, if the other person in this is not of the same mind as yourself, i.e., wanting to patch things up, they may interrupt you, or you'll get nervous or you'll get tongue-tied, etc., and you may not express things accurately, or appropriately, so there are occasions where writing things down is of great value, inshaallah
beyond that I agree with you it can also create problems or add to the problems to text or email...

Please I would like advice for dealing with toxic family that hates you and also may be afflicted with sihir. What should one do then? It is difficult to navigate through but I care for them because I remember how kind they were when we were young. But they bring my other family members a great deal of stress and pain. After they apologize they go right back to spreading rumors and insults about us.
It's hard to forgive and forget those who've gone overboard. I'm I childess please help!

* You love for your brother what you would love for yourself.
Cover someone's sin in hope of your sin to be covered in the hereafter.
How many of us are quick in pointing out other's fault and/or sins, without even giving it a second thought?
How long do you think it would take for the Almighty Lord to place us in the same or worse yet sin for exposing someone else's sin?
Then what would be your state and/or where would you be?
Then there will be those who'll give you the green flag to backbite saying we're only speaking the truth. Who's anger do you want to earn? And whom do you want to please?
Forgiveness is a virtue and a noble character.

What about the relationships that are abusive physically and emotionally. As you forgive them over, over, over again then you end up being abused.

No one should ever have to put up with any kind of abuse. Whether it be physical,emotional or mental . Luv you n may Allah guide you inshallah ❤
Remember there is no perfect relationship, what makes relationships good is understanding and patience.
First of all remind yourself, that Allah has not tested you more than you can bear. Second, your family is your Jannah. So see how Allah is utilising you to saving yourself and them from Hell. Third, DETACH yourself emotionally from their injury. No person hurts another, except they are hurting themselves inside. The problem is not you, the problem is them. Look at them as mentally ill. And lastly, may Allah guide you through your trial.
Please help! I can easily forgive minor and major things happen between my brothers and sisters. How can I forgive those who've gone overboard. Please help. If I'm broken it's fine but I'm shattered into pieces, how can I fix that.

1991 میں سویٹ یونین کے ختم ہونے کے بعد
خطہ بلقان میں صورت حال بالکل بدل چکی تھی اور یہاں کی قوموں نے آزادی کا راستہ اختیار کرلیا تھا ۔ بوسنیا ہرزیگوینا نے بھی آزادی کا اعلان کردیا تھا تو یہان جنگ کے شعلے بھڑک اٹھے تھے ۔
سربیا ، یہاں کے یہودی - عیسائیوں اور یوروپی ممالک کو یہ ہرگز گوارا نہیں تھا کہ یہاں ایک مسلم ملک بنے ۔ اس لیے اس کے خلاف خونریز جنگ چھیڑ دی گئی ۔ اس وقت یہاں کے مسلمانوں پر بہت مظالم ڈھائے گئے تھے اور انہین خاک و خون مین آلودہ کردیا گیا تھا اور لاکھوں مسلمانوں کو مار ڈالا گیا ۔ یہ یہاں کے مسلمانوں کی بہت ہی دردناک اور خونچکاں داستان ہے ۔
اس وقت میں دوحہ قطر میں انگریزی عربی -- مترجم کی حیثیت سے کام کررہا تھا ۔ میں اس خطہ کے مسلمانوں حالات سے بہت متاثر ہوا ۔ میں نے یہاں کے حالات کا سنجیدگی سے مطالعہ کرنا شروع کردیا ۔ یہاں کی تاریخ اور یہاں کے مسلمانوں کے حالات اور جنگ کے وقت کے حالات کے تفصیلی مطالعہ کے بعد بہت مواد جمع ہوگیا ۔ اس کو ترتیب دینے کے بعد یہ ایک کتاب ہو گئی ۔ یہ مسودہ کی شکل میں تھا ۔ اس مین مزید اصلاح اور تنقیح کی ضرورت تھی لیکن اسی حالت میں یہ کتاب شائع کردی گئی ۔ کلکتہ سے شایع ہونے والے مشہور ماہانہ میگزین کے اڈیٹر ف ۔ س اعجاز نے اس کا بہت اچھا پیش لفظ لکھا اور یہ کتاب انہی کے پریس سے شائع کردی گئی ۔
اس کا نام میں نے ' خطہ بلقان اور نو آزاد مسلم ملک بوسنیا ہرزیگوینا ، تاریخی پس منظر ، داستان حال اور مستقبل کے امکانات ' رکھا ۔
یہ کتاب 7 اگست 1995 مین کلکتہ سے شائع ہوئی ۔ میرا مقصد صرف بوسنیا کےمسلمانوں پر اس انتہائی مظالم کے وقت ان کے دکھ درد مین شریک ہونا اور اردو دان طبقہ کو اس خطہ کے مسلمانوں کے حالات سے آگاہ کرنا تھا ۔
" خوشی کی بات کہ محمد لئیق ندوی صاحب جو گزشتہ چند برسوں سے دوحہ قطر میں ایک عربی/انگریزی مترجم کے عہدے پر مامور ہیں ، نے پہلی بار اردو داں طبقہ کے لیے ایک ایسی کتاب کی تالیف کا فریضہ انجام دیا ہے جو خطہ بلقان اور بوسنیا ہرزگوینا کا مکمل تاریخی پس منظر بھی پیش کرتی ہے اور ایک حساس اور اچھے آدمی کے گوش نصیحت نیوش کے لیے بوسنیا و ہرزگوینا کے مظلوم کے عبرتناک احوال بھی سناتی ہے ۔

بوسنیائی اور کروشیائی تعلقات کی نوعیت اور یوگوسلاویہ اور روس کی نسبت سے بوسنیائی مسلمانوں کے کمیونزم کے ساتھ جو تجربات ہوئے ان کا احاطہ کرتے ہیں ۔
محمد لئیق ندوی نے ایک بڑا کام یہ انجام دیا ہے کہ کافی تلاش و تحقیق کے بعد اس سلسلے میں برطانوی موقف کی اس حد تک صراحت کردی ہے کہ برطانیہ کی لیبر پارٹی ، آزاد پارٹی اور کنزرویٹو پارٹی سبھی پارٹیوں کے نکتہ ہائے نظر واضح ہوگئے ہیں ۔ اس طرح انہوں نے کل مغربی برادری کی ذہنیت کو بے نقاب کرڈالا ہے ۔
