How should we, as a minority segment of society, deal with the majority? Even if we have to be different sometimes, it doesn’t mean we have to isolate ourselves from society. When it comes to practicing Islam and dealing with those who differ with us in our beliefs and practices, we need to keep in line with the dealings of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). Are there common areas where we can work together?

This is an amazing lecture! He talked about 'social capital.' In Makkah the messenger of God (peace be upon him) had significant social capital i.e. he looked after the orphans, he fed the poor etc He was known for his good works to such an extent that he was called al Ameen, the trustworthy. It was very easy for people to believe in his message because his character was known, he had 'social capital.'

First seek to understand if you want to be understood. You are talking non-sense about matters which you have no idea or knowledge about. Suhaib is an honorable member of the Muslim and Islamic community in America and abroad. People know him very well. The question is, who are you? Why should we believe the non-sense you are saying about him over the intellectual and theological contributions of this great man. Please do us a favor, if you don't have anything good to say - just don't say it for your sake because you are the transgresser and in Islam, God dislikes transgressers (so do we).

Suhaib web is a very good Imam. There is nothing wrong with him at all! I have known his man personally since 2001 he was my first imam when I converted.
