he hasn't read a lot of these. gold kryptonite doesn't kill superman it just takes his powers away for good. also superman wasn't being brain washed in trinity war. the atom at the time just stuck kryptonite into his brain which was slowly killing him.also rules of kryptonite. kryptonite only works against the superman of that universe. though it can be used to the same works as a drug for universe 3 superman or ultraman as he states himself
Shaun Gould glad to see I wasn't the only one who caught that. It's almost like that was A Shit Point Ben Messed Up Like A Wanker #ShitPointBenMessedUpLikeAWanker
Joker didn't shot lois he kidnapped her and then druged Superman to throw her into space and when her heartbeat stopped it made a nuke go off in metropolis killing everyone there including a few heroes
Hate to be that guy (#Ilikebeingthatwanker) but the joker didn't shoot Lois Lane in injustice, he kidnapped her, drugged superman with the fear gas into thinking that Lois was Doomsday, so he killed her by dragging her into space...oh and did I mention that her heart was being monitored and when she died it set a nuke off in metroplis?
You're not "that guy", you're correcting his shitty list that isn't correct and has an inaccurate title anyways. If he's going to give people facts they should be, you know, facts. Not some shit he made up.
Welshieone This list is about times super man had to kill someone. In this situation it wasn't on purpose and can't be counted on this list since he didn't mean to kill Lois and didn't mean to set off the bomb, all of these are purposeful killings
+Welshieone Well, that what happened in the Injustice:Gods Among Us 1, the video game and the animation made based upon it that explained to me a lot. But maybe he meant the Injustice: Gods Among Us comics which is based on the game. Maybe, the Joker did kill Lois, the unborn baby and Jimmy and he didn't trick Superman to kill her and their unborn baby.
Ameer Salim Yeah, I thought so even before I saw that deleted scene. They don't die. I always assumed that pit lead to a dungeon or cell in the Fortress of Solitude, as they always had trap doors that lead to those in comic book castles. Also Zod's hand was merely broken, not crushed beyond repair
1:16 "Keeping with the grittier style introduced in Man of Steel, DC Comics relaunched their whole shared universe under New 52" Well, actually the New 52 came before Man of Steel
The New 52 started in 2011, Man of Steel came out in 2013. I know it takes a longer time to make a movie than to make comics, but the New 52 still came out first
Also that particular number he made wasn't exactly correct either. I'm pretty sure when superman scanned the Kryptonian Dino, he couldn't find a pulse or a heartbeat so he assumed it was some sort of machine. Something along the lines of that. Anyways my point is, he did put thought into it
Missed a lot of details with the Injustice Louis Lane death. Superman was the one to kill her after he got fear gassed with a mix of kryptonite, thinking she was Doomsday, and tackled her into space. She was also pregnant, and had a timer so if she died, a nuclear bomb would wipe out most of Metropolis. Just saying, a lot of context is important for this stuff to understand the situation and character a bit more.
Getting the Injustice story wrong wouldn't be so bad except they got it right in an earlier list. Also, Superman doesn't really die at the end of "Whatever Happened to the Man Of Tomorrow", the ending shows that he's Lois Lane's husband, left without his powers by the Gold Kryptonite (which is what it does).
Except that in the Donner cut, which is the version that should have been made, Zod, Non and Ursa did NOT die. They were depowered and taken away to prison.
except shouldn't be used for mutually exclusive statements. Supes kills extremely rarely, but enough to make a top ten list and quite a bit more than 50 years ago.
Batman in canon doesnt really kill people though. They just end up killing themselves which makes it seem like Batman killed them. Take Owlman for example.
Ha, no, Batman also had killed a lot of villains as well, and even during the Golden Age like Superman killed a lot common criminals, he had fucking guns back then.
R a s h i d A1 joker only killed Jimmy he kidnapped Lois got supes in fear gas which made him think Lois was doomsday Lou's had a trigger on her heart her heart stop the nuke went off thanks to joker

Robert Castanpn yeah but he wasn't forced, he did it because loise had died and it was his fault, pure rage caused jokers untimely death, not because super man was forced to.
+Mega Zeta Wtf are you smoking. DC Rebirth is doing fantastic and comic sales has been on the rise for awhile now. Maybe do so research before spouting out what you don't know.
There's no evidence that they died. It was a fall, but we don't know what's below the mist. Also, in the extended version Zod and company are still alive and are arrested.
SuperLuigiSixty4 I suppose they also edit out the scene where Superman crushed Zods hand just for funsies? And edited out where he stalked that trucker to dish out some payback? I never will understand how people prefer THAT live action version of Superman to to the one we have today. And the Christopher Reave one is the one from my childhood.
"Never" is a very bad argument. All one has to do is find one thing that contradicts that, and you are proven 100% wrong. Like for example, someone being mind controlled into killing someone. As that would not be a choice to kill someone.... Oh... right, that was a thing, wasn't it? Well, guess you have no idea what your talking about, but nice try anyways.
"direct and indisputable murder" Justifiable homicide. Read up on some laws, son. Murder is the unlawful and intentional taking of another's life. Justifiable homicide is when someone (or a whole family's life) is in danger, and the only way to prevent them from being hurt (or vaporized, in this case) is to take direct and sometimes lethal action against the aggressor.
Actually joker kills scarecrow, steals his fear gas, kills jimmy and kidnaps a pregnant Lois, does an operation on Lois, uses fear toxin on superman, he see's doomsday, kills him, then finds out its Lois,to top it all off the joker made it so when Lois's heart stopped beating a nuke would detonate in the heart of metropolis. And then he kills the joker by ripping his heart out. By the way.
He did not kill Zod and his pals in Superman II. There was a deleted scene that showed them being arrested by the Antarctic Police and taken off to a prison in Antarctica. It was removed because of obvious reasons, it was just too silly to believe. BUT, still canon.
Killing someone who is about to murder innocents, isn't murder. At most its manslaughter, and something no sane person would prosecute someone for doing.
no I dont believe it is. Manslaughter is the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or in circumstances not amounting to murder. When you are forced to kill someone who is going to murder others, that constitutes "circumstances not amounting to murder" Execution is - the carrying out of a sentence of death on a condemned person. A condemned person is someone who is going to be killed, especially as a punishment for having committed a very serious crime, such as murder. Death penalties. behead. burn. capital punishment.
Huh, I guess I've been using execution wrong this entire time. I though execution was when you kill a criminal, slaying was when you killed a soldier and murder was when you killed an innocent.
It's not even Manslaughter. That scenario is Justifiable Homicide if anything is. If the evidence is quite clear that is the case, no prosecutor worth a damn is going to try that case. No jury would convict either.
There's a deleted scene from Superman 2 in which Zod and his buddies are recovered alive, and then actually arrested by State Troopers and bundled into squad cars, handcuffed and humiliated. Despite being in Antarctica, for some reason there are State Troopers. Just.... go with it.
I rewatched man of steal and I actually like it but read some reviews to hear what people had to say and they were angry superman killed zaard saying superman never kills no matter what so I searched this up and laughed because they were wrong
ugh, people are still talking about the level of destruction in man of steel. read the comics, watch the animated series & films, and you'll see that they actually toned it DOWN for the film.
Great job on doing exaclty ZERO research. Joker did not kill Lois in Injustice, Superman did, after being drugged by Joker, and he killed him because he wanted to, after Lois, their baby and millions of Metropolis citizens died as a result of a nuke tied to Lois heartbeat went off. Superman was not mind controlled into killing Dr. Light, who is not the same Dr. Light you seemed to think it was, BTW, he had a piece of Kryptonite jammed into his brain by The Atom from the Crime Syndicate, in order to discredit him and weaken the League. #S***ResearchForW***ers
Darth Whillmar You don't believe in redemption? These "evil" characters could do good one day, if given the chance. I don't think any character is irredeemably bad, look at Darth Vader for instance.
I don't believe humanity (along wth mutants in case of Marvel) has such a luxury as believing in redemption. Don't get me wrong, I don't promote Punisher's or Azrael's way of solving problems as the only right. I just think, that some dogs need to be put down. And why do you even bring Darth Vader here? He is not evil in comic books terms, not even close. What's more funny, if he survived confrontation with emperor, he had a good chance to get death penalty by Republic court.
Just one thing - what the Joker does to Superman in Injustice is way, way, WAY darker than just shooting Lois. He lured Lois and Jimmy somewhere with rumors of a potential scoop, shot Jimmy Olsen right through the lense of his camera, then kidnapped Lois. When Superman, courtesy of his super senses found her, Joker and Harley in a submarine, he of course tried to save her, but the sub was filled with a mixture of kryptonite and Scarecrow's fear gas, making Superman believe Lois was Doomsday . Supes, doing as he does and trying to save everyone from Doomsday grabs Fake-Doomsday aka Lois and rushes into space with him. That's when the effects of the fear gas wears off and he realizes that he just killed his wife and his unborn child. And to top all that. the Joker implanted a trigger into Lois that would go off when her heart stops beating. And since being carried into outer space tends to kill ordinary mortals without super powers or protective gear, the trigger activates and detonates a nuke hidden in Metropolis, obliterating the city. That's pretty fucked up if you ask me. And he didn't kill him during his trial, but during an interrogation by Batman where the Joker reveals that he did all that just because he was bored of loosing to Batman again and again and decided to go for an easier target ... that target being Superman.
walkingdeadman19 you know what's funny that probably went through his jokers head? he tecnichaly only killed Jimmy every one else was killed by super man. if u think about it he just set up the trap. that's like putting a gun together and putting it in front of an angry drunk person.
Joker didn't kill Lois Lane in Injustice. He put a nuclear bomb in metropolis and operated Lois, making that the moment her heart stopped, metropolis exploded. He combined kryptonite with fear toxin and exposed sups to it. When superman saw Lois lane, he thought it was Doomsday and took her to space. Boom!
Not to mention the fact that someone who prides himself on telling the truth and being upfront with people, he lies constantly to everyone.. not only that, and he's an illegal alien..
Eternaldarkness3166 After a quick look at the United States Citizenship Requirements (Mostly to retinker my brain). I'd say its a big possibility for how long Clark has lived in America and his parents (assuming they did) filling some paperwork, that he's an official American Citizen. Until in that one comic he renounced it. The lying however, you got me. A good example is Injustice but I can't remember any other comic or show where he has
I wouldn't count the Joker as that was not as a necessary killing because there was no need to. The same holds true for the Phantom zone villains from superman 2.
If you think about it, they always fight in a vastly populated area (or at least 90% of the time), so the death count on people in the smashed buildings should be off the charts
It's been established for awhile now that kryptonite from any given universe only affects that universe's Superman/Kryptonians. If he used Kryptonite native to that pocket dimension, it would not affect him. ~_~
It's worth noting that when Superman killed General Zod at the end of Man of Steel, Superman writer Mark Waid Stood Up in the Cinema he was at & Shouted " THAT'S IT, You Lost Me, I'M OUT!".
ben hasn't actually read injustice I see

Joker didn't shot lois he kidnapped her and then druged Superman to throw her into space and when her heartbeat stopped it made a nuke go off in metropolis killing everyone there including a few heroes
Scarygermanguy yeah where had this while shooting thing come from?
World of Stu joker only shot jimmy
forgot that bit as I just remember joker trucking superman into killing lois and their unborn baby
either way this video is factually incorrect. even the title is wrong as half the killings were by choice rather than forced
Read the injustice
WRONG! THAT'S NOT WHY SUPERMAN KILLED JOKER
ssjdeadpool1227 Well, at the end of the day, he still made him kill Lois. And that's an ultra dick move.
Tamaki742 not the way WhatCulture says it happened
he also wasn't technically forced to kill joker. he just snapped
Matto33gaming Yep, that's just a straight up revenge killing, and Superman is supposed to be above that sort of thing.
supposed to be. but he isn't a robot. the love of his life and unborn child died BY HIS HAND. wouldn't you snap???

Finally justice
@@TheJoker-kg6lx your type you maniacal clown.
Superman can actually be a cold hearted badass sometimes!
I think the title should be renamed to "10 Times Superman has Killed" because some of these were Superman killing because he wanted to.
Not Zod or Doomsday
um superman killed joker out of anger not because he had to

the operative word being DELETED so technically it didn't really happen

that makes Batman better
Old times Superman was a damn bad ass :D Wish he was still like that..

Finally! He did the 'American Way' part of his title. Killing!
Boom!
That goes to show you that Superman isn't the real hero everyone believes him to be, Batman is the true hero.
Randy Gutierrez
You know Bats has killed too, even his Golden Age.
Not to mention the fact that someone who prides himself on telling the truth and being upfront with people, he lies constantly to everyone.. not only that, and he's an illegal alien..

After a quick look at the United States Citizenship Requirements (Mostly to retinker my brain). I'd say its a big possibility for how long Clark has lived in America and his parents (assuming they did) filling some paperwork, that he's an official American Citizen. Until in that one comic he renounced it.
The lying however, you got me. A good example is Injustice but I can't remember any other comic or show where he has
Randy Gutierrez so true Batman rocks
Batman also lies contsantly to everyone and even tried to convince Tim Drake to kill Teen Titans member Raven.
this guy is kinda annoying...
No Superhero in fiction is 100% perfect, and alas Superman is no exception.
I wouldn't count the Joker as that was not as a necessary killing because there was no need to. The same holds true for the Phantom zone villains from superman 2.
he funny asf😂😂😭👏
Amazing video high quality content research
That Batman impression was... killer
Are we not gonna mention the fact that superman killed an 11 year old kid?
I really enjoy Superman, but to those who say he hasn't killed before clearly have no idea about his history or character.
"certifiably silly buggers"
Awesome.
3:36 ok ill admit that this joke is becoming funnier everytime
I don't understand why people complain about Superman killing Zod in MoS. What was he supposed to do? Throw him in jail?!
you sir have a new subscriber.
That last line is the reason why Superman is a good character
Awesome batman voice, bro.😁
the last one was sad
If you think about it, they always fight in a vastly populated area (or at least 90% of the time), so the death count on people in the smashed buildings should be off the charts
It's been established for awhile now that kryptonite from any given universe only affects that universe's Superman/Kryptonians. If he used Kryptonite native to that pocket dimension, it would not affect him. ~_~
"That high-cheekboned c*nt"
Instant like
It's worth noting that when Superman killed General Zod at the end of Man of Steel, Superman writer Mark Waid Stood Up in the Cinema he was at & Shouted " THAT'S IT, You Lost Me, I'M OUT!".
And this is Why I am with Batman. MY MVP Partner.
Extreme situations call for extreme measures.
