Under one of the posts NineLine replied to a Vietnam comment with 'not yet' :( That would be the single best selling map IMO, I don't get why nobody is making it...As for Korea, we have very few assets that would work well there, unless it's a fictional scenario. People usually want what they don`t have right now. Something tells me that once Vietnam map would be released, then half of players would complain that it is just jungle, or trees everywhere, another green map, or all these trees cause stutter, Frames Per Second counters would jump on bandwagon, too. If anyone want to make scenarios on large scale woodland with mountains and a sea on one side, then Caucasus, South Pacific or Kola can supplement that until Vietnam is released ,,in the futureeeee,,😀

Fair comments. I am sorry to hear about the "dispute" between ED and Razbam. I think that, in the end, both partys need the other. As a keen AV8 Harrier flyer I will take faith in the knowledge that niether side wants this, and that no one wants to disappoint this great comunity (market?) that we are a part of. Every relationship is a test and a challenge, and it doesn't always go right. Just know that everyone will work thier hardest to get things back to some sort of balance for the benefit of us all.

I'd dump a pile of cash on a Korea map if it was centered on the Yellow Sea and included both Koreas, a chunk of Japan on the edge, and that Chinese peninsula up to about Weifang airbase. That would have infinite potential for scenario development. Though I imagine it'd probably be period specific depending on when the globe will be ready. Either way though, as someone who studies the Pacific region, I'd really like to be able to fly over there.
I will say on the drama, since Razbam did include Heatblur then that means either they are bluffing, which I expect no reaction from Heatblur, or the complaint is legitimate, in which case I expect Heatblur to agree with the statements. Until either of these scenarios, or anything else substantial occurs, I'm just going to take a wait and see approach.

EDs response was very unsatisfactory, some of RBs most experienced devs, including the frenchie which did the most significant part on the M2k rework are in the process of leaving or have already done so. ED, as far as i know does not have the source code for these modules or have a pre-rework version of the code so if RB was to jump ship entirely you can fully expect their modules to go down the hawk path. Many of the current and previous RB devs have voiced that they do not wish to cooperate with ED on further modules, so, super tucano aswell as the flogger are likely down the drain at this point. And all because of some manchilds 9million dollar ww2 fighter collection. I also doubt they would hand over the code post breakup out of spite, i mean, they have allegedly not been paid for almost 1.5 years.

Great update video, and it's a shame as I think both ED and Razban have both turned a corner over the last few years, and things like pay are always going to be techy and needs resolving. But you need to see/ understand what the argument is on both sides before supporting one or the other.. However, as an ED DCS consumer, it's a concern where it leaves the beloved AV8B Harrier, my new favourite F-15E and the Atlantic Map, all which are very good and none wants to see what happens in the past with the T1 Hawk.
Let's hope both sides resolve there problems quick and if it helps ED pay their 3rd parties, ED seem keep forgetting about DCS Steam users, missing g us out from all the pre order stages, which may be how Steam is ran and how Steam protect their own users. But there are more people & cash within the DCS Steam community.....

Hi, electronic engineer here. So actually the GPS/INS feature updates is not important at all from perspective of simulation enjoyment vs time spent. First, the precision of military GPS is not affected by high velocities (this is simple doppler shift in signal processing, you even have this in your customers GPS implemented). The Kalman filter is a basic algorithm! It is so basic that I have shivers when the author of the material mentions this as "complicated". You learn this in the first class of signal processing.
So summarizing as long as you have GPS the total error is below a couple of meters. This is a measurement error. It does not matter for plane navigation as this error does not accumulate!
Now ... Ehy this improvement a waste of ED time? Basically there is no API for GPS jamming!
No one will use those INS features as in most servers we have GPS!
At the same time, heat seeking missiles see through clouds and mist. Just saying... They waste time on features the majority of us will not use.

Honestly I can't think of a reason why Razbam would slander ED for no reason. If someone from Razbam claims they haven't been paid for the sales from the F-15E for month I tend to believe it.
EDs defence that Razbam violated some unknown clause is rather weak when you withhold the entire payment.
Sure you need some leverage to get your partners to comply with their contractual obligations but letting them starve at arms length surly ain't the solution.
The nod at Heatblur is probably related to the F-14 and not the F-4. I read from someone (hear say) that Heatblur had similar problems when the F-14 released.

As an avionics nerd, as awesome as INS/GPS is the real MVP are the folks that send up timing corrections to the GPS satellites (sure now it is automated). Big part of how GPS works is time is sync’ed up to everyone and the satellites clocks due to their height/speed tick differently to ours on the ground/flight. So if special/general relativity wasn’t taken into account. The accumulative error would render the system not usable. Just something very cool and measurable.

We’ve been getting close to Kola for 6 months and I’m sure it will be another 6 months at least. I’ve been waiting for the A-7 since it was first announced like 3 years ago; and we are no closer. So when ED (or any developer) indicates they are “getting close”, you can guarn-damn-tee it will be another year after 3-4 delays. I mean, EVERY module gets delayed multiple times. Glad I didn’t buy f15. If this doesn’t get sorted quick it’s uncomfortable. But it’s not like there are other flight sims to move to. Hopefully the devs act like adults and not the usual forum snarling babies route.

    "highly skilled and professional developers"
Lol. Lmfao. If metal2mesh's behavior over the last couple days is what you mean by professional developers, then you just need to fucking stop Ron.that dude hurt razbam's reputation more over the last 48 hours than Nick Grey or ED ever could 🤣

was kinda ridiculous how they hated against the product they want to make money with (DCS), and how they stirred up the community. And then their ragequit, that's a lifetime ban on anything "early access", entirely destroyed any trust. better for them to stay anonymous in their further careers... who wants a "model and texture maker" spouting out your business internals in public?

ED and razbam are fighting it out on the backs of their customers (which are always "oh so important" for them when there is the possibility for a PR heavy video or forum entry). This shows their mindset.

Hopelessly old engine and the maps are just a pile of dogshit performance wise. How hard can it be to make a map that runs at a minimum cost? Come on lazy developers.

Razbam are being a.holes. The community has paid for the full module not a half arsed module. And who gets ripped off, the community. Just like the hawk. Still waiting for my refund.

Wrong. It's not RB who are in charge of your refund but rather ED. Maybe things like that is exactly the reason why RB are so pissed off with ED.

@@boggy8557 you're technically right, ED would be responsible for refund probably. but let's not forget common sense - you have a developer that's fine with asking 70$ full price in advance early access, it's their job to finish it no questions asked. they are also responsible to figure out a proper plan and deal. EA should be a privilege which Razbam lost. it's ridiculous to defend shady early access developers, what about next time they finish their product first before they get ANY money, like things used to be in the past.

@@sageg58 devs are getting paid by their bosses not by ED. razbam CEO is responsible for doing business with ED, and for paying his devs. you have a weird imagination of how jobs and contracts work
