  • Guys, we did it. We hit 100 subscribers and more. It may not seem like a big number, but I did not start this channel with the intent of gaining an online following, just to have a collection of my videos because I have a passion for filmmaking. And if you think about at least 100 people all interested in what you have to say, it becomes slightly surreal. I thank each and every one of you, and cheers to a hundred more.
    This video took forever to edit, so make sure to subscribe and like the video if it earned it.

    Yes, that squealing on the 2.5 horse can be cured by putting transmission fluid onto the recoil starter shaft. i use dexron type, but I think most types will do. I have heard that squealing many times, MAN it is hard on the ears!!! The first time I heard it as a teenager, I thought the motor was going to blow up!!! :)

      Yeah i kind of have. And it’s not the most i’ve had at one time, either. Small engine repair season is coming, THEN i’ll have a stock pile 😂

    The screaming noise on the 2.5hp is just the starter clutch take it apart clean/oil and it'll be fine! Just be sure not to use grease or else the balls will get stuck and the pull start will not engage. Great video BTW:)

      @WildfoxFabrication  Před 4 lety +1

      Yeah that’s what i thought, and it’s mostly true, but the starter clutch completely seized up which is weird i keep it oiled, which broke the recoil mechanism, so it’ll be fine if i replace those two things and luckily i have the parts to do so, it sure gave me quite a scare! my ears were ringing for a solid hour after that i kid you not

    • @WildfoxFabrication
      @WildfoxFabrication  Před 4 lety

      i thought the >$300 price tag was insane until i saw the pure workmanship and quality of the machining. now i say yes they are 100% worth the money.

    I have over 30 assembled engines. So not sure if I have that kind of time.

  • @legowarriorsadventure3613

    On the 23fb there is holes on the exhaust does it make it quiter than with no holes

    • @WildfoxFabrication
      @WildfoxFabrication  Před 3 lety +1

      its a homemade muffler thing so yeah I cap off the end and as the air is forced to go through the bunch of tiny holes it quiets it down a bit
