Nice video! Can't agree more about this guitar. After trying and buying tons of guitars the past two decades, this is by far my favorite. Everything about this guitar is just utterly perfect. Worth mentioning: It got an even thicker body than regular ESP's. Most Eclipse models are roughly 10 mm thinner, but this one is as massive as a Les Paul. And this guitar technically has 4 pickups. The EMG 57 and 66 TW pickups have huge housings because on top, close to the strings, there is the active EMG humbucker. Underneath them, there is a dedicated single coil. Most guitars just split the humbucker in half to fake the sound of a single coil. This guitar has humbuckers AND single coils. Thanks to the thickness of the body, these pickups fit. And it is also worth mentioning that the 57 and 66 pickups are active, but were designed to sound a little like the legendary PAF pickups.
For my personal taste, this guitar here is the better and more modern Les Paul.
Edit: I forgot to mention that with these pickups, the tone knob is incredibly important. If you turn it up, it sounds bright and clear like EMG's with a hint of PAF. If you turn the tone knob down just a touch, your tone gets thick and ballsy. These pickups have the best features of both worlds. Low noise humbuckers and single coils due to the active nature, but the feel and sound close to some very good passive pickups. I just love these.

Thanks for your review here. I completely agree about the pick ups, as I have them in a Horizon guitar, and I’m considering getting this Eclipse. One issue I have with some Les Paul style guitars though is they tend to lean heavy to the right when playing while sitting down, due to them being so bottom heavy. Would you say it’s like this for this guitar as well?

Hey, thanks for the insight. I was looking at the E-2 FT line of guitars and the Black Burst just looks the most attractive to me but I was skeptical of the pups, as I normally play on passives, so I felt that I should go after the Aged Honey instead that has SDs. Hearing that these EMGs actually have dedicated single coils and have potential to sound warm -- really changed my mind. Instead of the Aged Honey Burst I will go with the Black beauty whose looks I very much enjoy, and I won't have any worries about the sound : )

He wears grandpa's cardi but slays like Clapton. This guitar looks like Adam Jones's 1979. I'm in love.

Hello! Great playing! I'm really interested in this guitar but i'm wondering how the tuning stability is? Because i've had gibsons in the past with similar headstock shapes and they went out of tune all the time. Hope that's not the case with this guitar. Thank you!

I have an LTD Ec-1000 and I have zero tuning issues. Mine was made in South Korea and I'm very happy with it.

@@TexAgsArmyVet thanks for the reply Ryan. I have also heard/read many good things about the ec 1000 models. Maybe I should check them out. Best of luck with your guitar man.
