  • In this video we want to show you how threaded inserts can be used on a typical bolt-on Neck Ibanez guitar. It's easy!

Very helpful - thank you. Do you tighten to a torque specification or just snug by feel? If you have heard of a torque for this I would appreciate it. Thanks.

How many times can the neck be bolted on and removed before the screws or threaded inserts would be expected to fail? Would this be a viable solution for a guitarist that flies a lot to gigs, but doesn't want to check the guitar into the cargo hold? Removing the neck would make the guitar (particularly a headless one), small enough to easily fit in a carry-on. Thanks

Please, can you specify what drill size are you using for holes before installing bolt?

Hello, please find the instructions on nectite.de/download
We recommend 6.5 mm for the M4 Inserts, 8.5 or 9 mm for the M5 inserts. Good luck with your project!

Hey! I was wondering if the threads had any noticeable change to the sustain and stability of the neck? (Stability, particularly how often the truss rod needs adjusting)

I have no scientific correct answer for this, but to me the sustain is better, and some dead spots on the fret board have improved response. The truss rod adjustment may get better too, if the adjustments where caused by a "moving" neck.
People with adjustment screws at the heel of the neck love this idea, because removing the neck and reattaching it causes no more stress to the wood screw holes.

@@michaelkonings1781 awesome ! Thanks so so very much. Planning to integrate them into my high-end builds. Also, do you feel that the material of the neck-bolts (and bearings) matter? What material do you recommend for neck-bolts when using steel threaded inserts?

@@rocher3087 we sell standard steel (plated black or gold finish) or stainless steel screws/bolts. They work just fine. What else material can you think of? Since it's a standard size (metric M4 or M5) you can use whatever screws you like. We als have hex drive and relic'd screws, for that special look.
