A lot of people have been asking me how I customised my desktop in my last video so in this video I reveal everything you need to make your Windows 11 as clean as mine!
If you are always looking for a good OS like ReviOS, Atlas OS or even ggOS then you can check out the Best Operating Systems for Low End PCs video that I have on my channel, however today is all about customising your Windows experience and making the design consistant and clean, so may not be the best if you are running a potato system!
As always you are welcome to experiment with these programs but MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR DATA or create a system restore point incase anything goes wrong!

If you're wondering why the Chris Titus Windows Utility didn't do anything when pressing the "Desktop" button, it is because of a bug in a recent release. If Microsoft Edge was left installed, it will fail to remove it correctly and leave a ghost icon in the start menu.
This is not standard behavior and I expect it will be fixed soon.

Hey Dan! I totally recommend creating an SMB share on your network and putting your files on there. Saves you a lot of time when messing with Windows, VMs and when you reinstall Windows a lot.
I have a NAS anyway so I just use that instead

The best video which fixes all the UI inconsistencies problem in Windows. How can a tech giant say it cannot fix the UI while a small team of rectify 11 devs can.
Microsoft was never good at design of UI..they are not focused on that sadly..
Be sure to make a restore point before installing rectify. Because there is no other way to uninstall it except restoring your whole system.
Also my browser started opening tabs with spam ads right after startup. It stopped only after system restore, so I wouldn't recommend installing any of the software that alters your system in such a significant way
if you scan the rectify11.exe in virustotal you will see that it s a trojan :(

A low end PC can definitely handle mica! It is like an upgraded version of acryllic blur from previous versions, it looks better and doesnt affect performance at all

Atlas OS is releasing v0.3 soon which I'm really excited for. It should be able to support security updates, but no feature updates. It also enables the security features that were originally removed.
I really want they do it like how reviOS team did it. one playbook for both windows 10 and windows 11.

@@NotroDan They'll manage to do that only if they base it on LTSC. With Windows Pro or regular Enteprise, you get like 18 or 30 months of security updates. With LTSC, you get 5 years. With LTSC IoT, you get 10 years. For example, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (most likely the last version of that based on Windows 10) will be supported until early 2032.
@@huberkrank ltsc is awesome but ray tracing is not supported so I had to switch to Ghost Spectre, best of them all in terms of optimizations compared to tiny or atlas
I use AtlasOS for gaming. Zero apps or stuff installed except for Steam and games. For everything else I use Arch BTW.

This is a great tool dont get me wrong, makes windows 11 look amazing! But beware, for those who are planning on installing this, the tool doesnt have an uninstaller that is yet to work properly.
For every edition of Windows, there have always been customizable third-party apps and tools to transform the appearance or functionality of the OS. I have been doing this ever since Windows 3.1. Each time I customized Windows the functionality and aesthetics of the OS improved dramatically. Does MS care what we want? Did the company ever listen to its customers? Sometimes, but in most cases, it did not. MS always does what MS thinks is best. Many times, though, it's not for the best (Millennium, Win 8, etc). It has always been up to the end user to discover what's out there and do all the work to transform the OS into the product it should have been in the first place. Thank you for bringing this information to us.
They took the seconds out of the taskbar because it raises the amount of CPU cycles considerably, also if you have variable refresh like freesync or gsync, it has to update once a second instead of once every few seconds
They've just added it back into the Moment 3 update but it has brackets saying it increases CPU.

They added the seconds back to the taskbar clock in the Insider Preview builds! Hopefully it comes to stable builds
One thing I don't like about the Windows 11 Start Menu is that even if turn off recommended items at the bottom, it still leaves that blank space with the word recommendation

i started using windows 10 enterprise iot ltsc 2021~ not the best for latency but this is what i always wanted, microsoft isnt that mean to us
i ran ctt toolbox, from 100+ processes to 60 something, up to 100 because of intel and dell stuff, im not malding or anything, i need my peripherals and stuff to work, unlike revi or atlas or gg offers nothing. good shit dan!

@@youtube.user.1234 Corsair, glorious software, Logitech g hub, Razer and basically everything else lol. I use 1600 dpi so if I switch over my sens would get messed up and also mouse Accel will be turned on so yeh

hey... for anyone who doesnt know or has start 10, it works just fine. theres no need to buy the new one if you dont want to. microschaft used to have many of these customizations themselves and have slowly removed their cool and what used to ne standar features over the years. remember scrolling through what type font that you wanted before settling on papyrus or comic sans? or customizing every single panel to your liking? these features were basically things like windowblinds and startXX. I still keep a folder of all of the lost fonts and even the screensavers. I put them into every new system just for fun since screen burn doesnt really matter anymore theyre just for looking cool like milkdrop visualizer.
There is a exception to rectify which is registry but other than that rectify is mind-blowing it even works on low end 4gb ram hardware and also smoothly

First thing I checked was my CPU process and it's on 291. This is on a normal Win11 with a 10700k, 32gb ram, RTX 3080.
I wonder how much better my system will perform moving to something like this?
All customizations comes with a price that's for sure. That will affect your idle cpu and ram usage. You could also get random ads (depends on your source of said tools) In short, customize with care. I wouldn't recommend this on gamers though. It will affect your gaming performance for sure.

Rectify 11 really cool tool.. Customization is what has drawn a lot of people to linux.
But nice to see some customization coming to windows.
Hopefully Linux would no longer be needed for anything. I pray that Microsoft gets a better CEO so that they'll improve Windows to the point where Apple goes BANKRUPT from the lack of sales on macs!

you can create folders in Start11, just hold SHIFT and drag & drop a shortcut onto another
Opensource alternative to that is:
Openshell if you want have win7 start menu,
ExplorerPatcher if you want win10 start menu

I also have a stuff folder its just a shortcut to my other drive but everything is sorted in folders and sub folders and everything is alphabetically sorted on the start menu

6:22 Type "change how windows looks" into the Start menu. That can be disabled natively as well.
You can create a Shortcut of the "Stuff" Folder on your Desktop and then change the icon. You can also put the Shortcut in your Taskbar. I also have a "Delete" folder where I put in stuff that I want to delete soon.

Select a language, time and currency format, and keyboard method to continue. To install Windows 11 without bloatware, choose English (World) from the Time and currency format drop-down menu instead of your own country or region

i really like the Bibata Modern Classic cursors for this look
tested by me, experience = cpy idle at 32% ram at 69%, have an nvme m.2 ssd and it took 2min to boot without fast start up and with fast start up, it took surprisingly more than 2min with my cpu fan cranking at medium speed-high speed. Thank you I have a ryzen 5 5600H gpu 1650ti

after installing rectify how do you turn back to default win 11 ? is it by the restore point only or there is an option to go back to win 11 default

regarding process though, when you have a cloud backup, antivirus, razer headset, corsair cooling, logitech mouse and keyboard, amd radeon software, greenshot etc. You end up 250+ process no matter what.

The rumored Windows 12 release is going to be another drastic ui change(rumored to be more Mac OS ui like), kind of pointless to customize the Windows 11 Ui right now.
Just use Wallpaper Engine and Rainmeter as a temporary measure for different ui feel.

Personally I prefer a program called start all back but shardock's is a good publisher my only grief is they go off of paid plans where as this one is a one time license key

The Rectify11 installer that was linked here is ID'd as problematic by Defender, McAfee, and my browser.

hey, i saw that you opened terminal and then powershell later, i just wanted to let you know that terminal, by default, is powershell. so when you opened the chris titus tool, you could have used terminal.
they are two different things, windows terminal is a modern host application for the command line shells you already love, like Command Prompt, PowerShell, and bash

1 You can still remove the themes and mfe manually but apparently it's hard.
