Lynn Phillip's I know what you mean I've done all that for many years and am now going to do dreads on my natural hair and then do extention I have wanted dread for a long long time so am watching tutorial dreads on Google and CZcams I already have longish hair but still gonna do it good luck to you hun hope it goes well ohh and I'm 56 in June so who gives a shit what other people think as you know some people will comment arnt you abit old for that and my answer is Never to old lol

Why don't you both try some clip in accent dreads? The great thing about these are you aren't doing anything to your natural hair, they add thickness and you can take them in and out as you need to.

I just wanted to say that i saw you once while i was travelling around the world and i didn't know who you were--but i remember seeing you and thinking that you were the most beautiful girl ive ever seen in my entire life and that i want to be just like you. I never said anything and i regret it to this day because i totally should have just spread the positivity. I have just now found this youtube channel and i am totally in awe. Don't let anyone tell you that you're too white for dreadlocks because you inspire me and i have never seen anyone more beautiful, girl.

Hey...how do you get that free hair look at the start of your dreads? Is it simply growing it out a bit? And if so, does that affect your dreads and how they form and what about maintenance ?
add ties to the new grow so that they"ll be groomed to grow uniform with the rest of the lock. and when retwisting twist two single locks together and keep it for a bout a week or so

Hi. recently discovered your channel and I enjoy you and your videos. I am slowly putting dreads in my red hair. started with three about four months ago and can't stop from putting in more and more! if you have time can you tell me...how long does it take for lose hair along the dreads to go away? hard to imagine it will just eventually pull in on its own but does it? I would have an easier time leaving them alone (I do probably too much crochet maintenance... carefully) if I could believe it'll go away over time. thank you Elise. youre easy to fall in love with! keep the videos coming.

+Clone-a-baby not very often anymore, and only a few needs to be pulled apart đ I think maybe once a month... honestly I don't think much about it, I just pull them apart when I find some that needs to đ
Nvm you answered my question in the video. So I only want one dreadlock so that I can tie my hair either the dreadlock or put the dreadlock down. I also want to be able to shower my hair every other day which is why I want just one dreadlock. I just don't know how to section it so that it doesn't get so tangled with the hair around it

Talk to me about your loose hair at the top. When you first got your dreads installed, did you leave this part out, or have you grown this out since? Advice for someone who has the whole top part of my head dreaded but likes the top-loose look better would be appreciated. Thanks from Australia!

since now I know you've had dreads for years.. I've heard any synthetic hair is from horse hair and before they go into store's and web pages, some people don't wash them well. when people buy synthetic hair thinking its clean and put them on the head in there hair or whatever they get insects on there skelp. have you ever came accuse this issue before?

theyâre called locs not dreadlocks.
They oldest known name for them is from 16th century England where they were called Fairy Locks so Dreadlocks is more accurate than just locs.

I know that lots of people here would disagree and Iâm in all honesty not looking to start any fights but I donât think itâs right that a privileged white person such as yourself should be allowed to have dreadlocks - a traditionally cultural black style of hair, designed for the African-American hair texture. Because you are not a person of colour you will never truly know how important culture is and how much need there is to preserve it. I appreciate that you are trying to break down race barriers, however I would appreciate it if you did not appropriate a historically black culture. #blacklivesmatter
A lot of cultures and people in history had "dreadlocks" -but obviously hadn't the same name-. Celtic people, egyptians, greecs, etc... It is in a lot of cultures. It's not eclusive to african culture. :)
Celtic people used to braid and let their hair naturally form deadlocks. It is possible with every type of hair, tho. Even greecs did dreadlocks and they're not african. :)
Culture is different for everyone. Some don't care, some love their roots (i love my celtic/gaulois/breton roots as i am french). It's not about poc or black people. Studiying history would open your eyes. We're all culture mixed and a lot of things like for exemple locks are in many cultures at the same time. It's sad it can hurt a lot of people even if, for exemple, she didn't wanted to hurt you nor black people :(...
