As a woman that wears glasses, I'll have to say that not all people with glasses are evil, just a decent amount have natural "Glasses Guy Energy" sometimes. For this Glasses Guy through, the biggest mistake of this anime was simply not killing him to prevent a lot of problems in the future - just saying.

I watched the Magical Girl Site anime about two years ago. I thought it was really cool. As far as anime themed around the "dark side" of magical girls is concerned, the raw quality just isn't at the level of the more known and popular Madoka series. However, I found more enjoyment in Magical Girl Site for its insane wackiness. Last year, I purchased the manga and I had a blast reading it. The anime doesn't even come close to covering what the manga does. I definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the anime.
Honestly I found it better than Madoka. With the Madoka, I feel like the shock value overhyped the series a lot, but as I came in knowing it was going to have death in it, it honestly felt pretty tame/dull. Connections in it compared to MGS felt lack luster since we hardly knew the characters and there relationships where mainly preexisting with no development. Unlike MGS where we see those build up throughout the long series.

To me, I defo would pick Madoka magica since the visual was weirdcore themed and more wacky and it definitely shows the dark side of magical girls and plus, MGS literally took a witch from magia record aka Madoka magica from another timeline
I've had a fixation on this manga for a few years and if anyone is curious, Magical Girl Apocalypse also ties into Magical Girl Site. these two made me love magical girl genres with horror the wackiness is just unique for the genre
Both Site and Apocalypse go so hard on edgy dark tone that it revert to comedy for me, one of Apocalypse's MCs is a goddamn sex offender cop

i've seen the genre called "tragical girl" rather than magical girl. since it's not really "magical girl with dark themes" anymore, it became it's own genre distinct from the original.
it's both a plus and a minus that the anime doesn't have Alice from the manga, she's got an extremely useful wand and knows enough to not use it like it's going out of style like half the girls do but she also just never turns up at one point when she's the only one who could have done anything
where do they find Alice later in the manga after she bailed? playing video games. Fortnite was apparently more important than her real life team

Maybe it’s symbolism. They see the world differently: as a violent, hateful, psychopath. Whether something happened that made them that way, or they were always that way. The glasses for characters like that could be the writers saying: “they see the world “differently””.💀

If all of them have different powers but using them has a limited number before they die why would they not team up nothing is stopping multiple people from combining ability's. Freezing time alone is op but being able to freeze time, teleport people etc all combined is unstoppable.

Bro I was so interested by this anime that I decided to rewatch it and after that I wanted to know the actual ending and I read the whole manga and I have no regrets. It's an absolutely amazing manga/anime. Definitely recommend to people who watched the anime and want more

Back when I was new to anime,I decided to try some magical girl series since it's one of popular genre but this hit the innocent me like a truck

What I would do simple I’d conserve my magic, but when someone threatens me well, depending on what my magic is, which I feel like mine would be some kind of gauntlet, or some thing of the like, you know something I can already see it actually, my wand would be someone kind of little bot which expand into a gauntlet with runes in the shape of circuitry and my magic mind control I flash them with a beam from my gauntlet, causing their eyes to go black and corruption expand from their eyes. Now they’re under my control. I can utter a single word, and they will do it, so I could tell an enemy to use their wand until they’re out of life and they would do it.
I find this anime really interesting. Ofc Madoka Magica is the goat but i love Magical girl site too!! :D

I like the first half where you genuinely came up with ideas on how to go smart about this, but around the end you’re just doing a summary. This anime definitely tried to have their angsty Grimdark cake and eat it too with all the cutesy moe stuff, but I heard the manga will go into transphobia racism and incest so maybe I’m glad the anime ended here.
