remember after you have removed the airbag to keep it face down when you leave it just incase of any accidental detenation of the airbag, its a good bit of added safety as ive had an airbag go off due to static electricity before.

You'd imagine face down would turn it into a projectile

My car: 2009 VW Polo 1.6 TDI. For a year now, I have been hearing a rattling sound from the steering wheel (steering column) when driving over small bumps and potholes on the road. If I lightly hit the steering wheel with my palm, the rattling sound would also appear. Quite by accident I discovered that if the steering adjustment lever/controller is pushed down (unlocked) the rattling sound does not appear, but as soon as the steering adjustment lever/controller is pushed up (locked) the rattling sound appears. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Sorry I'm not too sure what that could be.

    Hey man
I recently bought a 2010 VW Polo 1.6 tdi se . I have no way of toggling the display to check mpg. I have the same steering wheel as you, so no steering wheel buttons. I checked online and it says models without a multifunctional steering wheel have a toggle button on the side/bottom of the wiper stalk. Does yours have this? My wiper stalk has no extra buttons either.

      Yh
Looked online, turns out some polo just didn’t have the option.
Seems ridiculous they left it out.
