I haven't seen your channel nor any shorts from you but I clicked the video after reading Frieren. I watched it right from the start so Frieren Fridays had been part of my routine for 6 months. I can't adjust that so I'll consume any Frieren related reactions until wlI get tired of it.

I'd say that "stoic" describes Frieren instead of "moody". She's seen so much already.

Yeah, I agree. I may have mentioned that in future episodes.

This show and 7th Time Loop are the best shows of the season. Frieren gets more interesting starting with episode 7.

Judging by other reaction series ... You'll enjoy this show. Even though the show gets more lighthearted after the first 4 prologue-episodes, you should keep a pack of tissues around. :)

Haha, it's well known that I love a good cry at heightened emotional moments. I should have tissues on my desk to be honest.

All names of characters and places are German words by the way. As a german i get often spoiler-ed as the names often represent a typical character trait. For the hero party for example: Frieren can be translated to "freezing" or better fitting here i would say is "to be cold" (as she has difficulties understanding human emotions), Himmel means "heaven" or "sky" (and he really is an angel always helping the ones in need), Heiter means "chearful" and Eisen means "iron". The name Fern of the little girl in the end means "distant". You get a pretty good impression of the characters just by hearing their name.

I'm 8 episode deep and I tell they did a good job of naming by their respective traits based on what you said. I love information like this, it show a love a dedication to the art, history and other cultures.

Great to see you react to this masterpiece of an anime :) .... but don't sleep on "The Apothecary Diaries". It has (at least for me) a really well written main character and is really good. If you have the chance watch it even if it is not as a reaction on youtube.

Yeah, a lot of people have mentioned it to. Maybe one to watch offline, as I already have so much to catch up on for here. 😭😭

I actually just finished this show yesterday and was really surprised. I was thinking it'd just be another overrated anime that everyone was gassing up but I really enjoyed it. It had a consistent theme of nostalgia that I enjoyed. Definitely a good watch.

It's been a very good watch so far. It could just be the music, but it's does remind me so much of Violet Evergarden

The way it always gets said "I barely know these people, why I am already crying?". Trust me, you are far from the only one.
10 year journey + 50 year time skip + 20 year time skip + 15 at least before he left adventuring and we are talking about a guy in his late 90s.
