BTS paved the way for k-pop globally..they are called living legends
Some Interesting facts:
• BTS was the group that made youtube daily content (vlogs, behind the scenes, personal variety shows and reality shows) a normal thing in kpop, kpop groups in the past didn't upload daily content (some did but it wasn't mainstream), now you see kpop groups today doing it.
• BTS was the group that made possible for kpop groups to have social media and connect with the fans personally. Before BTS kpop groups usually didn't interact with the fans on social media or were so active.
• BTS made music and music videos storylines in kpop popular, they were a thing in kpop before but since BTS made their storyline throughout theur albums since their debut now you see countless of kpop groups trying to do the same giving plot and a storyline to their albums and songs.
• BTS made self producing more mainstream, i know some idol groups self produced and wrote their own songs before BTS but since BTS success was overwhelming most groups nowadays write their own songs or produce their own music (Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Gidle, NewJeans, P1Harmony, etc..)
• BTS was the first (if im wrong correct me) to have plushies and animated characters that represent each members, now you see a lot of groups doing it too. (like Stray Kids, NewJeans, Ateez, TWS, etc.)
• Kpop became global and now Kpop idols go to american talk shows, interview shows, promote there and global brands (like gucci, nike, chanel, etc) wants to work with them thanks to BTS opening that door.
• BTS broke the 'BIG 3' myth, which states that only groups from the BIG 3 (JYP, SM, YG) can be huge and be at the top. The day BTS broke that myth (or curse) there was a shift in the kpop and asian industry. And then BTS created HYBE, what it would become the largest and most powerful kpop and korean entertainment company in the planet with groups like: NewJeans, SEVENTEEN, LE SSERAFIM, Gfriend, TXT, Enhypen, etc..

Regarding the animated character representing each member, actually BTS wasn't quite the first group.. B.A.P had their "Matoki" charas already when they debuted in 2012. But it is true, it was not so common then.

42:15 😂 what does german have to do with his name? hanguls alphabet is surprisingly easy to learn. i recommend checking it out. itll save you from annoyances like this in the future and most ppl can get the basics down in an hour

Thank you :) I am a native german ... live in germany and I speak mainly german in my everyday life. I grew up in Canada and english is only my second language although it is rather good as I think. It is almost at the level that my german is. I only found out about Jung Kook like three months ago with his new album. My first video of his ever was Standing Next to You .... The hangeul is in the title of the video, yes, but instinctively I just read the romanized name and in german there is the word "jung" which coincidently means "young" in english and the j is pronounced like the y in the english word.
I am learning hangeul and yes I can read it. But since german and english are my two languages my instincts skipped the hangeul in the title and I said what I said.

SUGA is his name for BTS stuff. AGUST D is for his solo stuff. Min Yoongi is his actual birth name. And yes, they WILL be good for you. They're good for everyone! I think you'll find they are all 7 such exemplary people, on top of being extremely talented. BTW, in case no one has told you, they are all 7 now serving their required military duty in Korea (18 -24 months). Jin will be back in a few months, and they will filter back to civilian life through this year and 2025 as they did not all enter the military at the same time. They thought ahead and left us with lots of content to help us get through it. You don't need to worry about that though, cuz you have 10 years of content to watch while they are gone!!! Promise to watch their live performances as you go, though, cuz they are simply unreal on stage!!!! I don't think you need to watch mv's in a certain order...the storyline IS very complicated and emotional. It would be like a separate series of reactions. However, you can enjoy all the songs involved without knowing the storyline also.

Yes that is Jimin and yes they are all now doing their military service. The four youngest members all all went within 2 days of each other.
BTS is my ult group in K-Pop, because they truly truly are beyond k-pop, they aren't just a group. They contributed SO MUCH to the genre, to their country and they truly truly LOVE music and everything related to it, you have seen just a little of their passion and humanity that this guide shows, but let me tell you that the sincerity, love and hardwork they do and showed over their 10 years of career is so HUGE...
They started with nothing, like a desert, in an almost bankrupt company, being a filler of other group performance, with 0 promotions or anything that helps a k-pop group to survive, they lived hell, all of the members come from different provinces of South Korea and in Seoul as teenagers it make them live with a hunger mind. BTS struggles are countless and for them a really hard past to remember, they faced discrimination from the K-pop industry, from the western and even political stuff.
Their way to become what they are now it's not something easy to do and that's why so many groups, artists and entertainment people look up to them now or recognize how they pave the way for K-Pop, they started the K- Wave worldwide (if you want to really learn about that you can watch The Rise Of Bangtan 21 Episodes in CZcams).
BTS always release their music as work of art and love for everything they do, 450+ songs in which they have credits as composers, songwriters, producers & more, I never have seen something like that before getting to know them. Group work, solo works, unit works, where they talk about the most relatable stuff, very introspective and can be social critical too, their messages and lyrics resonates with A LOT of people, that's why their fandom is over 70 millions. Their sincerity really comes across millions of hearts 💜
As you know Jin started out being recruited from the street because of his looks. Some people thought it was his joke. But it's true. He couldn't sing or dance at all. He therefore has the biggest obstacle in the group. But right now he's the one with the most high-pitched voice in the group. From effort and talent His screams were therefore mostly in the background.
Once you get to know BTS, you will realize how different they are from other kpop groups. It's why so many naturally gravitated to them and have only held on stronger over the years, especially people who don't actually like kpop. One of the aspects of kpop is that these Idols always appear perfect, even in their bonds with each other. But the only perfection BTS has ever cared about is in their music and performance. You saw and acknowledged their honest, genuine and raw sides that they have always shared with their fans, flaws and all. They are truly an artist for a generation.

YESSS, Actually Hobi (jhope's nickname) is consider the second leader of bts, he is very important bc he does a lot of things for bts's performances!! Every member in bts is important of course but hobi always make sure that everything works well for their live stages and concerts!!

You will definitely find out why BTS became big or why people love them with so much passion. In my case, I discovered K-pop a few years ago, and i did slowly get to know older and newer K-pop groups in my own phase . Since i followed most of them , i never got to call myself a particular loyal fan or completely dedicated, but finally, when i gave BTS a try at last after exploring different groups. i got to understand why armies are so huge and very dedicated. It's not because they are 10 years in the industry or more experienced or such. It's because BTS are unique as people and as artistry goes. They don't have a certain kind of sound or typical K-pop music or a certain kind of work ethic . The things we appreciate these days from groups like writing, producing, and connecting with fans and lot others things were done in better way by BTS, and they continue to do so. Thats how they were able to build a strong connection with armys with their music, with their stories, with their personalities, they practically grew with armys from the lowest to now to the point were they are most successful boy band group in general not just kpop . BTS music has all kinds of genres , their music can attract any kind of people with different music tastes of any sort of age because BTS has 7 different artists and 7 different colours but they beautifully blend together and shine as a group. For me, i found them at the lowest of my time, and they saved millions of armys with their music , words, and lyrics , its no exaggeration. I'm extremely thankful for that. They are inspiring not just to people but to most of the K-pop group these days. I recommend you other intros by RICE SQUAD , xCeleste and 'raise of bangtan ' series and also this channel called BORACITY magazine . She has amazing explanations of lot questions you might have . But make sure to watch the guide and a bit of their journey. Its funny i found them at their peak ( i usually tend to look out for small underrated groups), but after learning their hardships , struggles, and falling into the rabbit hole. I can't help but love and respect them like any other, and it looks like I'm accepted in open arms as well . That's how BTS made me feel. To put it simply, even them being at the highest, they made me root for their future now. Yes, they have a long way to go, i didn't get to see them together for a long time, but i did enjoyed their older content, which is a lot and never ending, haha. They have amazing discography . Hope you check them out in the future as well. You can definitely see how they inspired many K-pop groups these days in terms of music from their work. Now all of them are shining in their solo era, again something they are doing it brilliantly and even this solo era is a notebook for many in the future. Anyway, sorry for such a long essay. i was just surprised armys hasn't found your video yet, or else I'm pretty sure you would be updated with many things. But i said a bit of my journey on how i became Army instead of that, haha. Anyway, I'm still waiting for our boys to come back from the military because i didn’t get to cherish them as a group, but I'm very much excited for their comback in 2025. It's gonna be amazing. Something that always makes me proud of BTS is that they are artists who make a difference, they were not part of the system, the majority of famous k-groups come from large companies with many privileges, almost 99% of famous k-groups, however, BTS was that 1% that come From below no one expected anything from them but they surprised and made history, they always make the army proud.

During their solo era, every member broke multiple records and made new records. Some of them are breaking BTS group records as well. All the members debuted in billbord 100 and 2OO, including and excluding the USA . On the other hand , Jimin and Jungkook both of them are #1 hot 100 billboard artists.
BTS also did a free concert in October 2022 in a bid for the 2030 World EXPO, and it was their last concert together until at least 2025 ( the concert movie was released in threaters last year) .
There are also 4 documentaries on Disney Plus called J-Hope In the Box , Suga: Road To D-Day , Jimin Production dairy. They are about the creation of J-Hope's , Suga's , jimin's albums.
There is this group documentary series called BTS Monuments : Beyond The Star, which was streamed from dec 20th last year. ( it's a documentary showing BTS 10 years journey in episodes with unseen clips and films from their debut until before military)
BTS also released a best-selling book called

The first episode of the J-Hope’s docuseries will be released on Prime Video on March 27, with new episodes coming every Thursday and Friday. Also, The Hope on the Street Vol 1 album is releasing on march 29th .
Jin will have a comback with his debut full album this year after coming back from miltary .We might also have other albums released this year while all the members are away in the military. Every content and music is prerecorded. Sorry if i missed out on anything else( Army, remind me if you read)
In conclusion, Armys are well fed and occupied. BTS said they got many surprises further ahead. We are so grateful for them. Just two months passed without all of them they already have so much in store for us. They worked hard to keep us engaged until they came back.

No matter how many times I've watched this, I will rewatch it together with the reactors. As someone who loves to learn various languages, I know exactly why the "J" becomes "Y" you will get it eventually after listening to it repeatedly. We celebrated jhope's birthday yesterday and in some parts of the world, it might still be 18th February. Enjoy your BTS journey.
I can certainly say that nothing beats bts in anything. they're discography is just on another level of diversity and perfection. their bond are so, so, so, so special and unique, I've never seen another group of people being so attached to each other as much as then, they went through SO MUCH to get where they are, their relationship is one of the most precious things I've ever seen. they're family. their connection to us, ARMY, like... being completely honest, I've been fan of others artists in the past, and I've never felt so much loved and appreciated like i feel being a ARMY, they make sure you feel important and validated, they take care of us. They are as grateful for us as we are for them. BTS are legends, they paved the way, and we can't wait to have the kings back in 2025.

I was a casual listener of kpop for years (on an off since the late 90s) but just as "background music", never being a fan or paying too much attention to the artists themselves. Mostly starting with a song I remembered and playing a radio from Spotify or whatever was the equivalent along the years. When I starting falling into the BTS rabbit hole, I realized I already knew (and liked) a lot of their music

As an avid kpop fan for a long time.Yes I agree there are hundreds of groups together making music for years and having that companion ship but I have to say BTS is one of the most unique groups that I ever came across. They are definitely different and there is a reason why they reached such heights compared to other kpop groups , especially most of these very popular groups might have worked very hard but BTS didn't get such previlages or bare minimum from the beginning ,on the top of that industry and haters on their necks until this day but they now have grown to the point where no body can stop them in what they do. BTS are those artists who love their job, their passion, their music , their team and their fans. I follow multiple groups but I can only be sure about BTS that these 7 guys are destined to be together and make change in the world. They already did but a long way to go.

Thanks for reacting they are all currently fulfilling their mandatory enlistment in the South Korean Army for 18-21 months. Jin was the first to enlist in Dec 2022 and will be discharged this June, we are beyond happy. J hope will be discharged in Oct and today is his birthday 😊 The rest of the members will be discharged in June 2025 with Yoongi aka Suga being the last member to finish. We are looking forward to their safe return. In the mean time all members have released solo work and they have also worked on projects to be released while they are away so ARMY won’t miss them too much lol. The storyline is called the Bangtan Universe or the BU, and it isn't in all of their music videos. The ones that have BU content will actually have it listed as "official BU content" in the music video's description. The storyline is complicated, lol, and covers music videos, short films, and a webtoon, as well as official notes that were released with each album. I don't have the comprehensive list on hand right now, but the first three relevant videos are the MV for I Need U (original 19+ version), the short film On Stage Prologue, and the MV for Run.

JIN was not exaggerating about them picking him up for his good looks he was scooted because of his looks on the street. and then they trained him he is very good vocalist since he learn everything at age 20-21. and to let you know the rap line started in 2010 and the BTS group start 2011 only Jimin started in 2012. before debut 2013
at 8:46 not just jimin ALL of them are currently enlisted as of dec 2023.
jin enlisted first as hes the oldest he enlisted in dec 2022 and is coming back this year in june
jhope went next (the members made their own schedules so they ended up not going in age order) he enlisted in feb 2023 and should also be back this year in october
next was suga he enlisted in september 2023 and should be back in june 2025 he has alternative service due to a shoulder injury he got it repaired in surgery but they still make soldiers with physical or mental injuries do alternative services if theyre still able bodied and mentally healthy enough to serve in some way.
the next members to enlist were the last 4 rm, jimin, V and JK in december 2023 they should also be back by june 2025 if not before.
Billboard discontinued the Top Social chart once it was obvious BTS was going to be on top of it non-stop 😂 Now they have a more "situational" chart which works more with trending topics and not overall engagement, so other artists have more chances to pop up
Every BTS song has a deeper meanin,g so it's important to put the captions on. To get all the details there are explanation video's for most songs. Some reactors watch the official M/V, dive into the lyrics, try to analyze them and then watch the explanation video. The lyrics and the deeper meaning is one of the things that makes BTS special. All the members contribue to the writing now but RM has the biggest part in it. He is a reel poet
They're know to have great production (the music video's) and the live performances are even better than the official music video's. They can dance like no others. There's content online to keep you busy for years.
Jungkook was actually 13-14 when he started as a trainee. He was 15 when BTS debuted in 2013.
That is not an area that's a Stadium they fill the biggest Stadiums in the world and sell them out and have in under an hour of tickets going on sale. It's like the hunger games trying to get a ticket. I was extremely lucky to get a ticket to see them the second Night at Wembley Stadium with 60,000 other fans. Oh and the song playing is the introduction to 'Mic Drop' which Jung kook was singing to and drop the mic into his other hand.
Bts is very often the scapegoat for any hatred directed towards K-pop (which there is a lot) since they are the only group the general public knows. Also the Bts fans, army also get equally hated for being “crazy” “obsessed” etc. And the K-pop community also often hates on Army/bts (which personally I would attribute to jealousy more than anything else for being the most successful). Basically they haven’t done anything themselves they are the nicest people but that doesn’t stop the hatred and prejudice.

Jung Kook was younger than 15 as Korean had a different way to decide how old you are he was about 13 and half years old. They've only just very recently changed over to International age system.

I'm an army who's monitoring a lot of kpop groups and I've been watching a lot of your reactions videos too and in fact I know each type of reactors out there. There's some who's just faking their reactions and doing something too exaggerated while in fact they did not even paying any attention to the information of the videos lol, yes, the type of reactors who's just doing some clout for views using bts' name. And of course, there's only a few of reactors that I've pick as my most awaited contents lol. And yes I’m scared to share how many times I’ve watched this video alone (bts' guide) and with other reactors. But anyway, glad that you finally do try to get to know them more, these 7 amazing people, because I've been wondering about why haven't you reacted to bts' musics and arts. But yeah, I appreciate that you actually try to get to know them more. Not gonna say much, but basically they're more than just a "boy band". They're big but yet they're so approachable and warm at the same time. That's why they're different from others. Of course, there's tons of groups and bands out there who has that crazy choreo and everything, but BTS's chemistry between each members are on a whole another level, they created arts and going forward together with the same goals. And of course, they're the trendsetter lol, there's no Big 3 anymore bcs they're far far away from what BTS have achieved alone- and yeah they're the beginning as of why kpop idols nowadays creating tons of contents on youtube, doing a big special stage on award shows, etc. They're the one who opens the door for kpop, yes they paved the way. Anyway, thank you and I would like to see more of your journey in getting to know more about them, of course both the rap line and the vocal line cuz they're good.. (live performances are highly recommend! and if you want to know why the hell did they get that many hatred and racism, you could check "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2023 Update!)" (if it's not too much to ask)). 💜

thank you so much ... also for checking out my other stuff too. Yea... BTS. It was a decision I had to make somewhere along the line. I want to get to know them. They are not that huge for no reason and I am excited to listen to their stuff.
Since you have watched more of my videos you know that I was an only girl group guy and my first two "boy groups" were Stray Kids and Exo. I dabbled into others like Seventeen and Ateez ... but I wanted to focus on the first two. I have come to love SKZ and Exo.... they are amazing. I didn't want to start listening to 10 new groups all at once because I know myself. When I start then I try to really dive deep. It has to be manageable for the channel too. I work regular hours... do all of this for fun after work and on the weekends. In the last eight months I think I missed four days of not posting. Single days, not in a row.... Now that I have done a lot of SKZ and Exo and "know" them a lot better I am starting another journey into the boy groups.... one of them will be BTS.
I am also a bit controversial. As you might know it take me a while to get used to high pitched male voices because I am not really a big fan of that. But Every other group I've heard has changed my mind on some of those vocals. I am open for new thoughts.... I will definitely have to get used to Jimin. His voice is still a bit uncomfortable to my ears. But I will get there as long as I can stay honest and not get torn apart for that. My private music listening revolves around female voices of all genres. They touch me, can connect with me better than male voices can. Many ppl do not understand that and immediately spew hate. I am always respectful toward things I do not like and explain myself but there are lots of ppl who don't get it. I am turning 53 this year and I have been a musician myself for 40 years now, playing guitar and singing. I know what I like and I respect everybody who puts him/herself out there with an instrument and a voice. There is never hate, every note has its purpose somewhere, every song is good for somebody.

From the beginning I only listened to girl groups, was never interested in boy groups until last august when I started with SKZ. When listening to music at home it still is hardly male vocals..... I would say 95% female singers.... even in other genres. I "feel" their voices more than male voices.

so now there is groups of multiple fandoms who is hating on BTS for no reason, only because they hate army, and it´s so crazy.
just because Army is so big and active other fandoms team up to take on army and it´s so childish. this trend also spred to YT trying to scare reactors away from reacting to BTS.
so it could have been the reason why you didn´t dare to react to BTS. but i am glad it´s not the case bause BTS is special never seen a group like them before. they are 1 in a milion. e

If you have studied Stray Kids and now look at BTS you will realise that the Kids learned as much as they could from BTS in how to do it, get on etc. In fact most of the rest of Kpop are trying to emulate and sometimes copy BTS.

Jimin was into dance, martial arts, football, snooker, basketball as well as being top of the class at school. You should watch the video The Athleticism of Park Jimin. Wow.

Hatred and racism. They were hated by the Korean media when they started succeeding without being in one of the big 3 companies that dominated Korean media. They did everything they could to obstruct them. Then in the US there are people who think Asians should not be allowed to dominate the charts, even though the fans want them. Mostly I think it is down to jealousy.

they all went to the military, except SUGA, he's serving as a social service agent (?) due to his shoulder injury he got in a car accident before they debuted.
it's mandatory for all able bodied men to serve in the military in South Korea for 18 months
Jimin and Jungkook went together as well as RM and V. they'll be discharge around the same time in June 2025.. Jin's going to be discharge June this year, Jhope's in October this year. SUGA's a week after RM, Jimin, V and JK

you wanna know why even if he fixed it is still a problem? because while being on the military there's a ton of stories about major and almost concerning injuries that to some men were life changer (in terms of health).
it's very important that the kind of men that is attending the service don't have any type of crucial pain and eventually don't have an injury that can get worse (i believe there's such a category for that, but even men that are perfectly fine can still get injured while being serving and it's something thats interfering with their jobs).
in bh's statement there wasn't any mention of some problematic because of mental health or mental state, and right now we can't tell if yoongi is the same as he used to tell in his songs before.
so don't spread misinformation since that wasn't part of the official statement and there are tons of idols that had experienced the same thing whereas the injury was new or not.

I’m hoping someone comes up with an updated guide. Many things have happened since that guide dropped. Well I’m only speaking on behalf of BTS because that’s the only group I stan, but them being the biggest boy group and being in the spotlight, they’re bound to receive hate from people in the west because they’re Korean. For some odd reason they’re intimidated by a non-English speaking group of handsome men who just want to spread positivity in their music. They even get hate from other fandoms of western artists cause they hate to see someone being better than their favorites. It’s such a mess they still go through till this day. It’s not unheard of when a foreign artist makes it big or wants to make it big in the US. Their English tracks like Butter, Permission To Dance and Dynamite are great but it’s their Korean music that’ll hit more.

More context about Jin is not mentioned here but He has a lot of incredible talents and hobbies just like other members whether its musical instruments, sports , martial arts or life skills ofcourse an four year acting degree. He has one of the widest vocal range in BTS . He is scouted twice because he was a handsome kid no exaggeration, first by SM entertainment probably for EXO but he thought it was a scam but he was scouted again by bighit and somehow believed it and now he is in BTS. Many English-speaking reactors tend to react BTS through their fully English songs like "Butter" or "Dynamite." And then they simply judge their songs as just typical boy band pop songs. However, their three full English songs ("Butter," "Dynamite," and "Permission to Dance") were intentionally created to be bright and poppy to bring hope and joyful vibes to people around the world during the grim pandemic period.
If one wishes to understand the original music style of the BTS, I strongly recommend starting with their Korean songs, such as "On (Kinetic Manifesto Film)," "Mic Drop," and "Black Swan." I'm happy to join you on your BTS journey😆😆

his actual name is Min Yoongi. when he collaborates or produces as a member of BTS, those projects are under stage name SUGA. for the projects completely seperate from bts, kinda like an alter ego, a medium for his darkest emotions, he uses his second stage name AGUST D. tho he did mention these different sides of him overlap more than not lately, so he's probably gonna stick to SUGA in the foreseeable future but who knows tbh. and its pronounced shoo-gaa and august-dee

These 7 guys have been through so much .....good and also quite a bit of bad. There is a video about all their hardships....I cried so much watching it. I am very very thankful to BTS as they were my so called "Introduction" to Kpop or Korean music in general. Im not sure if I would be considered ARMY but I 💜 BTS and I have had nothing but good experiences with their fans so far. I respect this group as they paved a pretty path for many Korean groups and artists. I am excited to go on this BTS journey with you. 💜
