I've been helping and reaching my fellow Filipinos for more than a decade, since 2006, but without recording it on film.
I just decided to film the activities we do in 2015 to spread awareness.
This time guys: I need your help. I need your helping hands to give joy to Filipino families, one at a time.
How it works:
Your contribution goes straight to the individual/family we reach/help.
After we reached/helped 1 individual/family: We then move on to help another.
Our objective is to reach 1 economically poor individual/family, one at a time.
Important notes:
1. I personally don't receive/get/take/pocket any amount of financial contributions from you guys.
Your contributions go straight to the families we reach and to other expenses.
2. I do not publish on youtube the stories of the families we reach w/o a signed release agreement and parental/guardian consent.
The release agreement gives me a permission to publish their stories on youtube.
3. Business, personal and GoFundMe fundraiser accounts: All the funds, contributions, sources of income and other monetary sources that go into my accounts are being reported to the taxman. My bank also reports to the taxman every year, by the end of the year, FYI.
There's a Certified Public Accountant who does the accounting and auditing of my accounts.
The Certified Public Accountant reports to the taxman.
4. You don't need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution to give help to people in the Philippines.
Reaching and giving help to people in the Philippines is not illegal.
There's no law that states, that you need to open and register a charitable organization/foundation/institution first, before you are able to give help to people legally.
5. GoFundMe checks the fundraiser account from time to time.
They sometimes ask for verification and validation.
The reason why I upload films/videos about poverty in the Philippines is to spread social awareness.
To combat economic inequality, social injustice, oppression, repression, abuse and exploitation:
1st: We have to be aware.
2nd: We should pay attention.
3rd: We are ought to do something about it.
We as Filipinos and citizens of this planet should not turn a blind eye, not to play deaf and not to pretend mute.
We as human beings have a responsibility to give care and to show compassion to others.
We as citizens have a great responsibility to safeguard our ball of genuine democracy.
We as citizens have a responsibility to fight tyranny and corruption.
A documentary film/video like this one is very important, because it opens our eyes to the unjust societal reality.
How could we turn a blind eye on social injustice and huge economic inequality?

I don’t understand why a lot of these people blame poverty as cause for getting pregnant so young. Do they seriously not know that “having sex” is what causes pregnancy?
When people fell in a desperate situation, they can only accept the so called fate, no matter rich,poor, they all have the basic emotional need, of course they know but what else they can do beside this ? That’s like the only joy they can have in this miserable condition , and you are the one who’s so hide up judging and acting like as if you are them you will do better,trust me you won’t ,so be kind and don’t judge.

I love watching your videos because they are reflective of the real political corruption in the Philippines. Especially the current administration... a continuation of his father's regime. You are really doing great things and making a difference for those Filipinos with nothing.... with the donations you receive. I am married now to my Filipina wife for 21 years and have been there several times to visit family and have seen this all firsthand. I know I have no room to comment on the political situation there (being a white foreigner), but It has been ingrained in Filipinos to accept corruption as "normal" behavior. I remember being there for local governmental elections in my wife's province and seeing envelopes being passed from campaign organizers of candidates to the local citizens. These envelopes had money in them (essentially, the candidates bribe the citizens into voting for them... and the one who gives the highest amount usually gets the win.) I see your frustration in what you post on your vlog recordings and while a lot of it is true (grandpas seeking young Filipinas) I don't think it is right to generalize that ALL white foreigners are like this. I certainly support you in everything you do but can't help the feeling that you hate people like me just because of my skin color and my preference in loving a Filipina and her culture. However, it is your perspective and opinion and you are entitled to it. God bless you and the work you do!

Mark, how about telling your employ DIRECTLY in private that you aren't satisfied with his work. Your viewers aren't interested in your personal feeling about how he does his job. Your complaints are BORING and an irritating distraction from the subject at hand. This isn't suppose to be a video about you and your feelings. It's suppose to be about the struggle's and feelings of the Filipino's living in poverty! Please stop making it all about you! I'm giving good sound advice and it's worth your consideration, please think about it. By the way, I do applaud you for helping your poor countrymen.
Well Mark. I never was ashamed or proud of being "white" or "American". Never thought paying people 10 or 15 times less than the probable value of their labor was ok. What do you want the rest of us to do. Right now I help 3 single mother mostly only 2 in the Philippines. I can not believe the abuse of employers and landlords.

So Mark. I find Filipinos to dtill be mysterious. In the USA they seem to be extraordinarily friendly. Why? I don't know! I would need to learn more about them before I got to much involved with them so problems don't happen.
They seem quite happy, just going by every day normal life. I do not think they are poor.

Mark has a very expensive house and lifestyle here in southern California. I only live about an hour from his city. One thing about California you have to have money to live here. My son just bought his first house and his monthly payment is $8,032 dollars. Many of my retired friends have moved to other states like TX, FL, AZ and NZ

Hes such a hypocrite tbh.... he moved to the United States and is living in a fancy house and has all his bikes etc but he has the nerve to ask us folks to donate money for the poor people he features in his videos here on his CZcams channel but at the same time hes constantly expressing how much he hates white folks(Im betting a majority of his donations come from white folks) AND hes always so quick to trash any poor Filipina ladies who admit they would marry a white foreigner bc they want to have a brighter future for their kids if they have them and for themselves......These poor gals arent fortunate enough to have been able to get an education etc to provide a better lifestyle for their families..... I am tired of trying to explain my way through all the stupid misleading preconceived notions of my motives. If there are indigenoud people who worship "whiteness" in their culture I find it insulting not flattering. I am sick of hyperbolas. Really? You enjoy his racist comments? Sadly he seems to believe if you disagree with him that you're ignorant bc in his mind he actually believes he's right about everything...... his wants to instantly start with the insults and name calling..... but this is the same way all ppl leaning the far left do bc they think they are always right and can't have a conversation with a person with different opinions.
I don't know why but my favorite thing about your videos is your rants at Cesar. And I do kind of agree, the story seems to almost always be the same. Not that someone doesn't deserve help just because they're in the same boat as others, but it does get repetitive for video content. I think it would be interesting if Cesar would go into urban areas and document the stories of kids who beg on the street there. I know he's done some of scavengers in Manilla but they were adults who had kids with them. I would be curious to know how kids end up in the streets with no parents.
It would also be nice to see the team carry some long dog leashes and collars with them when they go out and try to get dog owners to use them whenever they see a dog tied up on a little two-foot piece of wire.
