Al is singing like he's 21 again! Bravo. Looking forward to visiting with my dear old friend this coming weekend.
Al Jardine is awesome and his voice is like when he sang Lady Lynda in 1979
@@JayPotter I've said this many times...Al Jardine just has that California sunshine in his voice...no doubt about it! Wish he'd so another solo album....
@@Colsoloact-po9wv really like Al Jardine. You are right about his voice. He is from Ohio.
Al Jardine, what a talent !
In addition to his skills as a singer, songwriter and guitarist, Al convinced Brian to adapt "Sloop John B".
Absolutely. Criminally underrated
Al sounds so youthful!
Brian is one tough guy too, look at all the pain in his life, but still writing and performing. Thanks Brian.
Al's voice is perfect for Brian's music.
I am glad that Brian keeps writing music after all these years.
For men as old as Brian and Al, they certainly have maintained their beautiful voices well. The harmony is still as good as it ever was! Love these Beach Boys the best!
Al Jardine! Al Jardine! Al Jardine!
And even five years later Al still sounds great at almost 78 years old.
al jardines voice was a VERY important part of the beach boys vocalsound a perfect summertime.happy song. love the boys forever
So nice to hear/see Matt Jardine with his Dad in the band!
Dan Cutchen i agree Matt Jardine has always had a great voice
Agree whole heartedly..Matt has a fantastic voice ....
Congrats to the sound engineer. Coordinating this many instruments and vocals had to be quite a task. The mix was perfect!! Well done.
I've had a lifetime of wonderful music because of these guys. God bless them all.
Amen!! 🎶❤😎🏖
I second that! Over 50 years for me.
Awesome that Brian was able to squeeze out another hit
I had an epiphany listening to this song. I realized just how much of an integral part of the "Beach Boys Sound" Al Jardine's voice was. We tend to focus on Brian, Mike and Carl, and Al sort of "was there". Sure, he sang lead on "Rhona", but that was a diversion from the "real" singers in the band.....
But it was Al's "edge" to his voice that made a whole lot of difference in the high soaring harmonies. That slight rasp kept a very good balance. Brian and Carl's sweet high voices were nearly angelic at times, but that third part by Al kept it from sounding like the Vienna Boys choir! Just that right balance.
Dang.... Al sounds just as great in this clip as he sounded singing Rhonda all those years ago!
Well put, Sir.
Al sang lead vocal on quite a few songs, look it up.
From a long time Beach boys fan.
Wildly good perception on that aspect. To put it much more simply, he was to the Beach Boys what George was to the Beatles.
@@brianwalendy3735 I agree 100%. George had his share of lead vocals but he harmonized wonderfully with both John and Paul as needed. Their sound would not have been as great without his vocal contribution.
Al Jardine is under appreciates. I really like him singing vocals on the songs he sang like Help me Rhonda, Cotton Fields, and looking at tomorrow. Great vocals, Also good to see part of the group back together on this album. Keep up the good work Brian!
As well as one of my all time b.boy favorites, "and then I kissed her."
stroke of genius to get Jardine back onboard.
Al never craved the spotlight, always gave credit to Brian. Great singer and better person.
I dont care what the critics say. No Pier Pressure is a great album. I love it and put it on frequently. Only a couple of so-so tunes. The rest is brilliant and the perfect amount of old school Beach Boys sound.
+Desdirodeabike I liked most of it...some of the guests were utter crap..like Sabu? Who the f*** is that?
My absolute favorites are "Our Special Love", "The Right Tme", "Tell Me Why" and "Love and Mercy". (Deluxe edition)
Brian and Al sound great together, they have still got the the authentic Beach boys sound with this great band behind/with them and even more class with Blondie Chaplin as well!
Al sounds great on lead vocals and add. guitar!!!!!
Amazing. As a new generation of BB I could listen to them forever we miss you Carl and Denny
Brian Wilson Al Jardine and The Great MATT JARDINE hitting all the high notes in harmony! At 2.00 into song , the soaring melody here is as good if not better than any prior Beach Boys song. This is a masterpiece Brian! Thankyou so much for a lifetime of harmonies! I love you SIR BRIAN WILSON...DONT EVER STOP CREATING!!!
Actually 1.55 the final harmony kicks in!!Goosebump time my friends. Listen to it again and again...........
Al you sound awesome! Your voice hasn't "aged" PLEASE find MORE good music for you to have lead vocals on! Great job! Way to go Brian can NEVER leave you out of praise.
This is what modern music should be.
it doesn't jive with millenials, they're like mgtow, so it's certainly not the right time.
Mark Allen Channel Guess so, sadly thats how its got to be.
Well as long as you pass the word and the music on, this music will never die in our hearts, and maybe we can turn around the world, if we do whats right, and make peace, destroy Nuclear bombs, and end communism. I'm glad that a few millenials enjoy this music, spread the word my friend. I'm an old guy who loves these guy's music, its the best ever, and hopefully someday that it will come back and jive with all millenials.
I agree with you, I was born in 1946, in those days Jazz and the Big Band Era were slowly dieing off and Rock n' Roll was coming in, and by the time I was a teenager, I had found my favorite group, these very guys, the Beach boys, and their music has been close to my heart since, It resonated with me through Vietnam, Marriage, Summer Days in Michigan, and many, many Memories, I hope that you and your friends spread the word, and keep on listening to this Supreme music and Supreme Band.
Fenton Hardy, "Or ever hope to be!"
Love this song, favorite off Pier Pressure.
+Mike Bartolowits Agreed, I have been Listening to these Guys since 1961, and they never Cease to amaze me!
Wow, what a phenomenal arrangement, I am quite content to drown in this, beautiful song

Al Jardine seems to be the type of guy that you want as a close friend and a next door neighbor. Class act. Hello from fellow Ohioan, all the best Al. Already thinking about next trip to Cali.
Is anyone else getting this.... Is'nt that Al's son singing background?? Sounding so smOOth!!
SOO GOOD!!
Al Jardine and Brian Wilson. YES!!!!! Incredible!
One of the most incredible songs which could only have been done by Brian.
WOW Jardine!
I Love The Songs My Favorite Songs Friends Brian And Al?
I love Als voice so much! Ik ik hate me but I love his voice the most in the beach boys! Don't get me wrong Carl and Brian were and still is incredible as well!
Everyone loves Brian. Many can empathise w his Life struggle. Few will reach his creative glory that brings Joy to the world
Absolutely fabulous with Al’s unchanging voice and Brian’s gorgeous harmonizing! Love the lyrics and the melody is one that I could listen to for an hour nonstop! Hoping for even more music like this! 😊❤
Brian must have listened to 70’s mainstream pop during his “lost years” while living in his bedroom, and filed them away in his head until he pulled the memory out to create a modernized England Dan & John Ford Coley tune- I hear an echo of "I'd Really Like to See You tonight". Very catchy tune.
Props to Al Jardine and Brian’s vocals that give it that undeniable Beach Boys feel. This and "Guess You Had to be There" are my favorite tracks .
LONG LIVE WEST COAST MUSIC.....FOREVER YOUNG....
absoutely one of the great groups of all time
Nice guitar work Nick and Probyn Gregory!
Al Jardine is Solid Gold and always has been....
beautiful.
I like positive love songs……like this one, mellow in parts. Reflective…..then with a great uplifting beat in parts.
He's SEVENTY F'N THREE and he sounds nearly as good as he did in the 60's
Love this song
Al has always been my favorite voice in the BBs. I just love these guys. So happy they were able to share their musical gifts with us for so many years.
I am absolutely loving everything on the Net from this new album. UK radio is playing it. Just hope these great songs find a radio home here. No matter, it's gonna be played A LOT this spring and summer in my truck.
Al Jardine's voice has not changed one iota in 50+ years...
such a great voice, we are only "getting it" now, a gem
Saw Brian and Al and group in Toronto a few years back.
Great concert.
Al never lost it.
BRIAN and Al Jarrdine are winners!!
I remember seeing The Beach Boys live in the 1960's and this sound just brings it all back. Sensational live performance. Brian Wilson, "Genius".
Al nailed it.
Without a doubt, Brian Wilson is one of the greatest singer/songwriters of our time. He is perfection in his art form personified. May he live, write, and perform forever.
As Always The Band is far greater than the sum of it's part.
Those harmonies! Jeeeeeesus!
Gracias Alan Jardine , eres genial !
Quite possibly the most harmonious group ever to perform in this or any other century!
Oh my so amazing x
Al Jardine uses a Proco Rat distortion? Wow!
It's been said many times before, Brian Wilson, genius. I remember seing the orginal Beach Boys in Southampton, UK, in the 60's, some of these tracks just remind me of the original sound.
Brian Wilson still kicking out some great harmonies
RIP Nick Wonder!
love this song
Alan’s voice superb as ever
Remember June 20th Brian Wilson will be 82. Happy Birthday Brian...RockinRonny Ontario Canada
Al Jardine rocks!
Brian , All youre the top of the line.... bravo
Wow!
Can we say Al’s voice is the stand out of all the remaining Beach Boys ?
Brian’s band, well perfection is the word I am looking for.
LOVE these guys to sing to me...they create all the passion of our youth again. The greatest music of all time in my book.
Love this song.
I wish I could have been there!
Wow -sounds great!
This is great!
Just a fabulous song.
Man, you people and all your drama. I heard this song on AXIS T.V just now. The harmonies brought tears to my eyes, it made me think of my old girlfriend. I thought it sounded awesome. Brian Wilson is a musical genius.
Will see them in November in Charlotte. The last time was at Chastain Park in Georgia. Loved him then, love him now.
Why isn't this a hit? I love this song
Matt Jardine on falsetto. Much better than Foskett.
Ow yea that's him! I hadn't even realised Jeff had switched over to the Beach Boys until now. Matt's voice really is better for those falsetto parts though, he just sounds more natural and not as forced as Foskett.
Doug Stalnaker Actually two falsetto singers here -- Matt Jardine and Brian Eichenberger.
We all owe Jeff so much for his involvement in Brian's life. Without him, I don't think we'd have enjoyed everything we have since the late 90s. His falsetto? Serviceable. I like Matt better.
Doug Stalnaker Thanks, Doug. Thought this was going to turn in to a "Foskett Hate-fest" . I had wondered why Jeff was not in on this recording. I guess the Beach Boys made him a better offer. Frankly, I thought it was cool when Jeff spent time with Papa Do Run Run!
Timothy McGaw I totally agree.
