We spent the day out at Fox Raceway for the 2023 Husqvarna Model Launch, where Husqvarna unveiled the all-new machines to the media. This video got me confused a bit because Keefer was saying that the Husky motor felt better to him, more responsive etc. Yet this video got me scared the Ktm is easily the better choice. Sometimes I wish the manufacturers would put on a ride day for the public when they come out and you can pay $20-40 to spin a few laps. The track doesn't even need to be anything crazy, but just enough to help people feel out the bike. This would help the public decide if they want to upgrade from a different model, upgrade from the previous model, or purchase the bike with confidence.
Would be nice if you guys did a side by side comparison of the KTM and Husky, at the same track, and take lap times. Often times riders confuse mellow/controlled power with slower laps, but in reality its the exact opposite.
I can remember years ago they did tests where they added weight to flywheels. It usually lowered lap times. An easier to control power can be a big advantage in many conditions.

I bought a 2022 KX450 after 4 years of riding a Husky 350. Different generations I realize, but as nervous as I was about getting a 450, within the first few hours I am already more comfortable on it than I ever was on that 350. ....and I always thought that 350 was pretty good.
That kawie is the best 450 ive ever owned its a great bike.. and i currently ride a gasgas factory edition.. id say the KX is better
@@robkeller8008 It is insanely predictable and smooth, yet turns well. Inspires confidence 👍 If I can ever find my GoPro, I intend to record and post some laps.
Nice. I'm looking at both the kx 450 and husky 350. What is it about the kx you like better?
@@j-sammys5549 Mainly it's sure footed handling and better torque. Realize however, my experience involves a 2022 kx vs a 2018 Husky 350.

Different generation of bike I realize, but I'm more comfortable on my 2022 KX450 than ever was on my 2018 Husky 350.
First thing I'd do is change the plastic!!! Bike is ugly compared to last year. Get rid of the gray. Wish they'd just keep it white with blue accents. I have a KTM 350 coming in Oct. and I based my decision somewhat on the review of the KTM's. Now that I've seen this video, I'm so happy I chose the KTM. At 5'8", that 10mm lowered suspension was awfully appealing! My guess is some people are going to be drilling holes to get the air flowing better.
I just don't like the rear number plates ...just to big. And the gray doesn't look rad
Yeah... gray looks cheap. I presume they tried to "make a change" but gray is dull/boring, unless it is Military Appreciation weekend in SX.

It’s almost like husky is slowly trying to claim yellow one piece of plastic at a time. There just waiting for suzuki to drop out of offering moto bikes then husky will go full yellow lol

Yep.. .as I watch this... the more it looks like a "Chinese knock-off" toy or such. Sounds like a great bike, but who wants to ride a bike that looks like a toy/turd?? not me
