      Think I'll bypass the salt.thats a crap ton of salt to be burning on a project,and I'm only making very small amounts to be used on the spot then baked.ill add some salt,but not at a 1:1 ratio.

      Hi, I don't know the weather in your place :) For me, I would need about 2 days if I put the piece under the sun at window's sill in my study room for the shape to stabilize. And then 3-4 weeks for the clay to dry hard :) Salt dough is best for oven-baked.

    How long do you bake and at what temp?

    • @clayitnow
      @clayitnow  Před 5 lety

      Well, it will take few hours to bake salt dough in a very low temperature. Normally I will bake few pieces/ 1 tray to save energy with mix temperature like 140deg for 10 mnt then 80deg then lower temp, etc to avoid bursting. There is no fix timing/temperature but depending on the objects and its reactions.
