Got a few 5 guys where I live, but none that do delivery. All the delivery food in my region will be packaged so that the deliveree opens and eats it and it won't have been tampered with without someone noticing. Pretty cool but I can never get myself to finish a meal, lol. I like to go with my friend, one of us orders a meal, and we share the fries. It's got to be a company policy.
I only eat the fries from time to time because it reminds me of how my mom makes fries when I was young(40 years ago). The burgers are meh, nothing special.
I worked at Five Guys for 5 years while in Highschool. The fires in the bag are what they call a top off. They give you the cup and on top of that fill a metal tray with more and just dump it in, which is why I never order more than the small fry. I worked there before the days of shakes and "Little" fries. Also if I'm not mistaken and they haven't changed all patties are weighed out to 3.4 Oz and then semi smashed before they are put in the cambro. Chup, Mayo, any sauze goes on top & bottom bun (Or perhaps just mayo on top and all others on bottom) and Franks/A1/BBQ goes on the burger itself. Lettuce, tomato, raw onion, jalapenos, and bacon goes on top bun, grilled onions and mushrooms go on the bottom bun. 2 slices of cheese per burger as well. Thats the secret and Five Guys university way of their burgers.
Yeah, visited one in Belgium for the first time, i wasn't used to the huge portion so i spent over 30 €, while 1 burger would have been more than enough with the large amount of fries.

Made this tonight! I didn't do the sauces and made my own caramelized onions, but the burgers were a HUGE hit. My husband said they were better than five guys (he got to add an egg)!
Not sure how true, but what I saw on some other videos was that 5 guys uses a sirloin/chuck mix. Not 80/20. I'm guess he had the eat up a bit too high or the surface of his grill is not seasoned well enough yet.
And he does it EVERY SINGLE EPISODE!!!! How does he not ever think to "prep" and get himself a couple paper towels to use when he tastes his food? God bless him. He just gets his own paper towel rolls and I would never use his roll. LOL!!!
Never had 5 guys. I've had In-N-Out many times and they always look so fucking beautiful. I've heard 5 guys is pretty good, but for the price they charge? NOPE.
Yeah I love Five Guys and the extra fries they throw on top everything. When ordering delivery they are starting to put a sticker on the bags to seal them so that will keep people from eating your stuff and you would know if the sticker is ripped
@@Baldmelon the job isn't ad, and I like that I can set my own hours, and nobody cares if I just don't show up for a couple of days. Honestly probably nobody would notice if you took a fry or two from 5 guys bag, they dump a bunch on top to keep the food warm. I vote for red robins idea though, they give the driver a small cup of fries for them when they pick up the food. Cost them a few cents, and everyone is happy.
It's specifically the 5 Guys patty that is impossible to recreate. The flavor and moisture content is so perfect. I can't ever do the same patty quality and I've tried every meat combo including adding a little ground pork. We recently had 5 guys and it was amazing.....But I don't do Frank's on it. I add mayo instead and raw onion and bacon along with the lettuce and tomato.
They use Schweid & Sons beef. You can get it at most major grocery chains however it's probably too thick the way they package it so you'd probably have to cut it in half and roll them into a ball for smashing. I'd probably say the Chuck and Short Rib burger patties at costco might be even better though (since short ribs seems to make everything better!) but I haven't tried it yet.
I absolutely love five guys. As fresh as it gets compared to most fast food joints. Fries are definitely the most fresh and yes, they always over fill the cup of fries. Love it.
I delivered pizza and wings as a teenager and I definitely ate customers food. Once I was eating a wing (there was an extra, I swear) when a deer ran out in front of me, while screeching to a stop I panicked and threw the wing back in the box and forgot until the customer called
I like Sam and all, and can understand on some superficial level that they behave similarly sometimes, but no dude. You definitely need to listen to more interviews. They aren't the same at all.
as a doordash driver i can confirm that fry stealing is a real thing. if u order from mcdonalds ur fine because they shut the bag up with stickers before giving it to the driver.
Sam, really enjoy your content. When my son was in high school he had job at five guys. They run a tight operation w/quality control fresh beef every night , patties prepped fresh every morning etc. Their all the way has carmelized onions, mushrooms plus all the regular fixins you used except for the franks & one of thé main staples is Worcestershire or steak sauce & everything cooked in peanut oil. The smell of peanut oil in the kids uniforms was not to cool...my wife would make him leave his stuff directly in the laundryroom 😂
I love that they shovel fries into the bag. As a server I have snagged a couple of fries from customers. I can’t imagine drivers doing any better. Fresh, hot, crispy fries are a beautiful thing.
Sam: takes a single piece of kitchen roll Me: I don't even know you anymore! Sam: wipes his mouth with the kitchen roll a second time Me: Ahh there we go! :D
You guys kinda messed up on this… Five Guys sandwiches aren’t dressed a specific way, so critiquing the condiment combinations is wildly unfair and the fault of whomever ordered these. You choose what toppings go on the sandwich. Don’t like mustard? Yours would ONLY have mustard if you ordered it that way. Also, you need a thicker spat with a sharpened end to avoid messing the burgers up when you flip them. At Steak n Shake, for example, they sharpen their spat’s twice a day and additionally as needed so they can effectively peel the burgers off the hot griddle. I actually think you guys should redo this episode. Start by ordering the sandwiches dressed as you want them, pick up the sandwiches yourself so you don’t have to wait around, use a sharp spat & you’ll have a much better time. And if you don’t reshoot this, it’s gonna look like you had some ax to grind against Five Guys & tried to make them look bad. In fact, I’m not 100% sure the way the cheese came on your burger is how it’s normally done, but I could be wrong about that.
Where I am they do cheese patty cheese patty. And you are absolutely right this was very unfair to Five guys, if you don't like mustard don't order it. Next video let's make Sushi and leave the purchased one in a hot car for two hours and only order the kind I don't like.
I think you all missed the mark. Sam didn't say Five Guys was bad... What a reach of a comment. Lol Just because he doesn't like mustard doesn't make a difference at all.
dakota rogers He’s essentially reviewing Five Guys burgers as he tasted the one THEY ordered before comparing to his & the sandwich THEY ordered included condiments he doesn’t want on a burger. That absolutely clouded his opinion on Five Guys. I hate onions. If you asked me to review a cheeseburger that had onions on it, it would ABSOLUTELY get a terrible review. Now imagine if I was the one that ordered it that way…

Waay back…remembering a required marketing class…the topic was “packaging that makes the product”. Everyone had to go out into the world and come back with an example of this. With 5 Guys, the foil achieves this: creating a steaming effect.
make the definitive Krabby Patty step 1 - make a meat loaf step 2 - cut out a patty shaped piece step 3 - sear the patty so that the outside is practically charred(krusty) but the inside is still tender BOOM perfect Krabby Patty
so one time i was delivering chick-fil-a & saw that this person got a 12ct nugget BUT when i looked inside i counted 14 nugs so i did them a favor & ate 2 nuggets so they got the right amount they asked for
cold meat 33 degrees he over squished them you have to flip them 2-4 times at 350~ degrees and there's more blood but its not blood its a juice in the meat/bagging its healthy and normal but his was dry dry and burned them but they did make a good burger!
There is no blood in hamburger meat or steak. It’s myoglobin. It carries oxygen to the muscles. And when the meat is cut, it turns red, or exposed to air.
I love their burgers. I always wrap my burgers in foil and let them sit for a while when I cook at home. It definitely gives them a quick service quality in a good way.
10:15 to get them to come up clean, turn the spatula the other way round and scrape that way so as to get all the crust. I think I learned that from J Kenji Lopez Alt and I’ve never looked back

Made this tonight! I didn't do the sauces and made my own caramelized onions, but the burgers were a HUGE hit. My husband said they were better than five guys (he got to add an egg)!
Love this!! Thanks for the tips! Also LOL wiping his face with the whole entire paper towel roll hahahah a definite mood
Those burger flips were disappointing. So much flavor scraped off and lost.
No shit, careless
Thought the same. Best part of the burger to the garbage. This flip was a flop.
Problem is he doesnt even have the right tools to pick up all of that crust, and the way he did it with those spatulas was so cursed.
That was a masterclass in how to leave half your burger on the griddle
I laughed at leaving all that goodness behind
Somebody needed to say it lol
Scrape that shit off and put it on top before you plate it dude! Cmon!
Yeah that looked like shit
A heavy duty sharp scraper and do not add oil prior to smashing works every time
Not sure how true, but what I saw on some other videos was that 5 guys uses a sirloin/chuck mix. Not 80/20. I'm guess he had the eat up a bit too high or the surface of his grill is not seasoned well enough yet.
I love five guys burger always juicy and delicious. I love that they shovel so much fries into my bag
5 Guys always puts a scoop to a scoop and a half of fries in an order. Not meant to fit all in the fries container!
3:50 My wife will kill me if I use the paper towel in that manner🤣🤣
As she should
This should be illegal
His wife should whoop his ass for doing that in front of us..
wait i dont get it wtf? is that the normal way ahhaha
It's nasty tbh
And he does it EVERY SINGLE EPISODE!!!! How does he not ever think to "prep" and get himself a couple paper towels to use when he tastes his food? God bless him. He just gets his own paper towel rolls and I would never use his roll. LOL!!!
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen him not wipe his mouth with the whole paper towel roll lmao
i dont think you watched this video then lol he does it twice
6:16 thought he just did some wild magic and turned them into one
Kid Crawford 😂
“Topical” I had Five guys yesterday. Although mine didn’t look like it had been pulled out of the ass of swamp monster.. 🤮
That burger Sam got is GNARLY. 😬
@@roguenorton2309 you're supposed to eat right away, was probably 30+ minutes after it was made
hahahahahahahaha
Never had 5 guys. I've had In-N-Out many times and they always look so fucking beautiful. I've heard 5 guys is pretty good, but for the price they charge? NOPE.
For some reason I feel like that was max doing the hahahahahaha. Haha
Yeah I love Five Guys and the extra fries they throw on top everything. When ordering delivery they are starting to put a sticker on the bags to seal them so that will keep people from eating your stuff and you would know if the sticker is ripped
as a delivery driver for over a year, I have never eaten out of someone else's delivery. Though I've also heard that people do it.
Well, you wanna keep your job :-P
@@Baldmelon the job isn't ad, and I like that I can set my own hours, and nobody cares if I just don't show up for a couple of days. Honestly probably nobody would notice if you took a fry or two from 5 guys bag, they dump a bunch on top to keep the food warm. I vote for red robins idea though, they give the driver a small cup of fries for them when they pick up the food. Cost them a few cents, and everyone is happy.
Five guys is outstanding and they always make it to order.
trash
I love the little bacon cheeseburger “all the way” with grilled jalapeños
"Just one sheet, that's so civilised of you" - Max sayin' what we're all thinkin'
I absolutely love five guys. As fresh as it gets compared to most fast food joints. Fries are definitely the most fresh and yes, they always over fill the cup of fries. Love it.
they also fuck up every order and put up in over crowded markets. theres a new burger place every block now. five guys is another failure.
@@zero_udk never once have they messed up a order In the 100 times ive gotten it
You left the best part of the burger on the grill! You’re killin me Smalls! THE CRUST!
I was looking through the comments for something mentioning this haha
What is the best way to stop that happening? More oil?
Tippy_Canooe flip it earlier. He left it on a bit too long
He needs a sharper spatula and don’t flip it from the side but from the front
When he throws the paper towel i died laughing
Lol same😂
14:19
So did i.....lol
Then how did you type your response if you were dead?
Bahahaha..... I love how Sam burns his fingers on the hot food that just was taken off the hot bbq it flat top & curses!!!!!
I love their burgers. They remind me of Homemade burgers
I have reached in and ate fries before. I was delivering food to my wife ;-)
As a fiveguys worker we add the extra scoop of fries to make the customer feel like theyre getting more for a the same price
It works. I LOVE that extra scoop! 😍😋
The extra fries are what the delivery guy eats on the way 🤣
I delivered pizza and wings as a teenager and I definitely ate customers food. Once I was eating a wing (there was an extra, I swear) when a deer ran out in front of me, while screeching to a stop I panicked and threw the wing back in the box and forgot until the customer called
This guy, in some weird way, helps fill my Bourdain void.
Wow I never made that connection but I see it
True
RIP - Anthony B. Miss that kool dude
I like Sam and all, and can understand on some superficial level that they behave similarly sometimes, but no dude. You definitely need to listen to more interviews. They aren't the same at all.
Just get him doing martial arts
I only order burgers medium rare, but I was surprised that 5 Guys burgers are good.....I think it is because the ingredients taste so fresh!
The feeling of satisfaction when he finally tore off a single paper towel is indescribable
@zombie food The satisfaction I feel when someone asks about satisfaction is euphoric.
But then proceeded to use the whole roll.. smh that's gross as fuck
Really? I was so disappointed when I saw him tear a square off. I was like, 'Sam.. what the fuck dude?'
zombie food because he always uses the whole damn roll
@@Atomic_Johnny i almost unsubscribed
"Greasy Bags?" That's how we asked co-workers if they wanted to join us for 5 Guys for lunch. My favorite hamburger joint.
as a doordash driver i can confirm that fry stealing is a real thing. if u order from mcdonalds ur fine because they shut the bag up with stickers before giving it to the driver.
@ least he didn’t work at Red a Lobster @ uniform
You know five guys is still one the best when the five guys burger look almost identical, to Sams burger, which is fresh
No it didn’t.....tf
Made these burgers for my parents, absolute hit. Thanks Sam
You should’ve made the fries too. I would’ve loved to see that.
The fries are the real reason to go. Anyone could make the burger.
I suppose they do milkshakes now too. Also a good reason.
3:23 did Sam just rip a paper towel off before using it? I'm shocked!
I love that they shovel fries into the bag. As a server I have snagged a couple of fries from customers. I can’t imagine drivers doing any better. Fresh, hot, crispy fries are a beautiful thing.
Sam: takes a single piece of kitchen roll
Me: I don't even know you anymore!
Sam: wipes his mouth with the kitchen roll a second time
Me: Ahh there we go! :D
That's exactly what went through my mind!!!
YEAH ME TOO ! Does that make me weird because thats what I got outta this entire video?! haha
delivered food in college and never ate out of an order.
That's integrity, something much of humanity lacks.
ALERT: the theory stands
I’ve seen Sam wipe with the paper towel roll a hundred times and I still get a chuckle out of it.
You guys kinda messed up on this…
Five Guys sandwiches aren’t dressed a specific way, so critiquing the condiment combinations is wildly unfair and the fault of whomever ordered these.
Next video let's make Sushi and leave the purchased one in a hot car for two hours and only order the kind I don't like.
mikl911 Right. Let’s be fair and also, let’s not imitate something if you have no familiarity with it. He’s done THAT multiple times.
Sam Vance agreed..
Five Guys in Florida is amazing.
This deserves a redo
I think you all missed the mark. Sam didn't say Five Guys was bad... What a reach of a comment. Lol Just because he doesn't like mustard doesn't make a difference at all.
dakota rogers He’s essentially reviewing Five Guys burgers as he tasted the one THEY ordered before comparing to his & the sandwich THEY ordered included condiments he doesn’t want on a burger. That absolutely clouded his opinion on Five Guys. I hate onions. If you asked me to review a cheeseburger that had onions on it, it would ABSOLUTELY get a terrible review. Now imagine if I was the one that ordered it that way…
I did uber eats for a year straight. I have NEVER eaten someones food, unless they didnt answer after 8 minutes then i kept it.
3SevenStangVids I ordered wings once and this Indian nigga really took 2 of my 10 wings
@@jensmarino5954 LOL yeah ppl out there do that.. What really sucks is when the restaurant screws up and forgets something then the driver gets blamed for it.
Food delivery person here, I did it for a year. Never ate the food for the customer, the only time I open the box or look in the bag is to verify what they got. I have been given food if the order was wrong or cancelled, that's the only time I ate it. Will never do it, I am a germaphobe, picky and just want to go back home to eat my own food.
My favorite burger joint, I go once a month, it's one of life's simple pleasures.

Waay back…remembering a required marketing class…the topic was “packaging that makes the product”. Everyone had to go out into the world and come back with an example of this. With 5 Guys, the foil achieves this: creating a steaming effect.
Wendy's wraps their burgers in a paper-lined aluminum foil.
So does Checkers.
Also Sonic
So does Five guys, A & W, and Rally's aka Checkers on the East coast.
Habit, 5guys and Wendy's all make awesome burgers. And I am not a burger person
make the definitive Krabby Patty
step 1 - make a meat loaf
step 2 - cut out a patty shaped piece
step 3 - sear the patty so that the outside is practically charred(krusty) but the inside is still tender
BOOM
perfect Krabby Patty
And DON'T forget the pickles!
Dear David, love the idea...though it's really close to what we do for our Meatloaf Taco at www.notnottacos.com/
The smell of the just fried french fries , and burger sitting in the bag during delivery drive is JUST TOO MUCH OF AN TEMPTATION!!!!!!!
Years of videos and this dude never has a napkin readily available.
so one time i was delivering chick-fil-a & saw that this person got a 12ct nugget BUT when i looked inside i counted 14 nugs so i did them a favor & ate 2 nuggets so they got the right amount they asked for
Way to go above and beyond for quality assurance :)
You monster.
So you pawed thru and counted em huh?
Love rewatching old episodes.
Dont use cold meat and the griddle needs to be smokin hot, that's why it stuck to griddle
Nathan Blake thank you for this!
Nathan Blake possible or the griddle wasn’t hot enough
Leave it out 30to45 mins before u put it on the grill
cold meat 33 degrees he over squished them you have to flip them 2-4 times at 350~ degrees and there's more blood but its not blood its a juice in the meat/bagging its healthy and normal but his was dry dry and burned them but they did make a good burger!
There is no blood in hamburger meat or steak. It’s myoglobin. It carries oxygen to the muscles. And when the meat is cut, it turns red, or exposed to air.
Writing from the wastes of Central Europe where no one's heard of Five Guys - *how can you have a burger without pickles*?!!??
The magic of Five Guys is their massive array of unlimited free toppings, the fact Sam ordered such a plain burger reflects poorly on him not 5G.
I love their burgers. I always wrap my burgers in foil and let them sit for a while when I cook at home. It definitely gives them a quick service quality in a good way.
5:30 It was Mcdonald’s for god sake , and I’m only human .
10:15 to get them to come up clean, turn the spatula the other way round and scrape that way so as to get all the crust. I think I learned that from J Kenji Lopez Alt and I’ve never looked back
I spent a few years working different delivery companies and I can tell you without a doubt that I’ve talked with other drivers who have taken food from customers order. If I ever got super hungry on shift and caught an order from a restaurant I liked I would call in a pickup order and grab both deliver the customers food and then just smash my order
Wendy's wraps in a foil with a paper liner on the inside.
Drew Dinh as does sonic.
and CookOut.
And Arby's for their roast beef sandwiches
