you need to expand on that intro. spy metal could be a new thing
So when does the Solo album come out?
Stevie's guitar playing is so fucking good hahah
@66Samus you're right lol
Stevie really is a great lead guitar player
yes infuckingdeed
He is actually becoming one of the best IMHO. 🤘🇺🇸
Stevie t may be by far the best CZcams shredder as far as emotion meets technicality goes
Never ceases to impress me
Keep on wearing no pants and making great music Stevie
Hes amazing but i think there are plenty more like Rob Scallon
Bryan Guilford not really.
Came here for the stevie T but totally ended up subscribing and liking right after you laid down the drum track. At first I was thinking good grief those drum changes are ridiculous and no way can you make this work.... I was wrong. Lol. You totally opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about how to arrange songs. Up until now everything ive done has been so rhythmically stagnant compared to this way of songwriting. You absolutely killed it mate. Metal as ffffffuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk.
Minecraft is soooo metal
Steve comes in at 14:18
Wow Stevie really KILLED that solo! Siiiiiiiiick!!!
Stevie is a master soloing!
The individual parts sounds really great, the transitions ofc needs some tweaking but really nice experiment.
Holy shit, Stevie T's solo is KILLER
Wow, Steve is the man.
Damn, that was REAL TASTY. And a fun experiment!
It could definitely work if you went and made some solid transitions between the different parts but right now it just sounds like a medley or something
Damn stevie, that solo was GREAT!
It’s like one big solo but it’s also a whole song! I love it
Yea that solo was pretty sweet, Stevie boy
Great video Trey. Cool to see Stevie T in there too.
What a great song it is and what a great Solo!
Stevie T. always looks like the camera is sped up.
Clint Norwood watch some of his videos where he’s doing challenges or gag videos, he always does that jerky movement and the faces. I can see what your saying but I literally think it’s just his over exaggerated playing.
Incrid Dazer yeah Im not saying it was sped up he just always looks sped up. He is a fantastic guitarist but a huge spaz
@@clintn6677That is because he is claymation.
@@masonharris9166 Stevie is what happens when you fertilize an egg with mountain dew while listening to metal.
Every time I hear "55" I sing that! Gotta love Group X!
this is great! I hope this becomes the new "song in _xx_ minutes challenge"! Looking forward to the other parts in this series as well.
This was awesome, you earned a new subscriber! Love Stevie's solo
Please do a lot of videos like this. It's really entertaining and it inspires people to be creative in writing a song. You did s great job. Cheers
I see Steve T, I click video, like video and comment!!
I came here just for Stevie T!!!
SnowFalcon4490 give Trey some love :(
Great idea and execution. Subscribed!
Reminds me of Protest the Hero
Watching this video made the flow knock at my door! Gotta go open! Thanks!
Group X reference!! Thanks for reminding me of that gem, I now feel old
Subbed!!! That was frickin bloody awesome friend, shared and loved!
Really enjoy these. Keep it up dude.
Please do this more often, great format! Great song too!
Woaaaah, beautiful!! Also Stevie T’s work is amazing!!
The awesomeness of this is perplexing. I don't know if it is inspiring or dream crushing. I think maybe crushing. I quit.
Love the GROUP X reference! You are truly a god 🤘
That was soooo cool! I couldn't stop watching.....very very awesome! Randomness became awesomeness!
Wow, this turned out great, Trey! Stevie was a super good choice for the solo.
Almost has a BTBAM kinda feel. I use this method writing my stuff as well. Not the whole number generator but yeah.
Nobody expect Steve Te in this song!
Lol, when you start recording i think it will be so funny. But when you finishing the song, and Steve jump into the solo, that was AWESOME epic!!!!
That was actually really great, thanks for the ideas and good content :)
This video is extremely underrated. So many intelligent and insightful points made between the subject dialogue
With stevie t is like I never want his solos to end
What a tasty solo by Stevie T
I really like what you did here!! Thumbs up!
BIG thanks to my special guest Stevie T (czcams.com/users/SteveTerreberry) - this is part 1 of a 3 part series, so make sure to subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications!
The Parentheses at the end of the Stevie's link is making an error
This was awesome, great job!
This was a really fun video. More would be nice!
That's great dude!!! That's how I'm gonna write songs from now on
Very nice.. cool idea on making a song. Excellent lead work too. ( singing some Group X lol ) Would like to some more videos like this one. Keep up the good work.
Man this is amazing!
Thank you guys for this .... now try a random lyric generator..... I did it once it was horrible :D
Fredrik Olofsson
lol i can’t possibly imagine how random it would sound
“Ohhh the mighty splash of thunder aids storm washing ashore the duplicate receipt of an unregulated decalibrated freebase manure handle”
Awesome! Nothing like watching two inspiring players work
It's wonderful how being restricted makes you more creative and open to experiment. Because you have to sound right with all the constraints that yourself set. All my f$%&ng life I've been paralyzed with how to start and make a song. I have very good ideas, but always get caught in the argument of what is right and what is wrong. Thanks for the inspiration
I mean, wow. That turned out surprisingly well!
Way to make an extremely cool, fun and unique experiment/idea about as interesting as a seminar on door knob sales statistics...
Stevie T really needs to put out an instrumental album
He does have one and it's fucking amazing
@@leonardovenancio6096 I have the Album of Epicness, is there another?
@@ReactarooSkidoo Ho, that I don't know. Hope he does, if not he should do release a new one cause it would be epic as f
He used to write way more music., metal core song, online lover, Mario instrumental, Ghostbusters etc, I don't know why he isn't doing more
Wow !! Sounds pretty good ! Quite a nice experimental way to compose original songs ! =P
If C is 1, shouldn't you have done this in G, instead of Ab?
C(1), C#(2), D(3), D#(4), E(5), F(6), F#(7), G(8). So, no.
Damn, Steve just keeps getting better
really liked the solo and part leading up to it, the other stuff was great too, but that in particular stood out to me.
And to think, Frank Zappa did this his entire career! Nice job. 🤘🇺🇸 Kevin Venture
Wow what a fun idea! I like how it came out. The only thing is the intro into the 1st verse bugged me though, needs a better transition there, but overall its impressive, great job! 👍
Needs more Stevie T!! :-). Cool concept.
That was absolutely amazing!
This was fun. This is also how I write half of my gear demo tracks. I just pick a drum part and see where it takes me. I don't randomize the key though ;D
I'm so glad you know schfifty five. Used to watch their Mario videos on repeat back in like 06 or 08
Guess what you eediot
Since I started recording I've pretty much only done this haha! Tweak the grooves a little bit afterwards and I'm in business. Sometimes I'll just message my friends and ask them to pick a letter between A and G and go just with it, really puts me in the zone.
Love the vid, confirms that I'm not the only mad experimenter.
Cool video!!! Very cool
It came out so well!
Also High five for a fellow Kiesel ZM7 player
This is great!!! Gotta try this!
The intro was basically Meshuggah :D.
Reminds me more of SikTH, but I can hear it
A bit more melodic than Meshuggah usually is
This straight up inspired me to make a spreadsheet for random songs. Weekends are about to get a lot more fun.
What a great Zeus guitar you have there..!!
Keep doing these!!!
Definitely some Voivod vibes there. Beautiful!!!
Really cool idea with this random number picking, great challenge!
Sick man. Sick.
sick as always Trey
This process is rally interesting, Ola is doing a similar thing with riff writing, it seems to work pretty well
Amazing!!! And freaking stevie t.....
Rhythm sauvage is just an awesomely obvious gojira title I love them glad they were in this video but Stevie made it even better
Yes! I love some Group X!
Reminds me a bit of Arch Echo
Damn, that's high praise!
That's exactly what I though
Dude, stevie just stole the whole video with that sick shreds..
great Steve T solo!!!
Dude that Zeus is absolutely gnarly lookin! I want it
Wow that was amazing !
Stevie Ts solo made this song for me
Steve T yeah
Earned sub, dope content.
The result is really interesting.. I like it!!!!
Excellent
This really reminds of that good old Stigmata/Burning Bridges era Arch Enemy. Good stuff!
Hey /b/GearGods/b/ I have a question, my Dean vendetta 7 string is having a buzzing issue, I know it's not the cable because I tried my other guitars on the same setup (using a 10' Monster Cable) any advice? I'm a total tech noob
helps me a lot, as i just today started laying my own tracks in reaper :D great idea for creating shit on the getgo :D
11:05 man! Exactly what i wonder when writing music.
I'm a drummer, and when deciding what would sound good on a certian part of the song i just go on feel.
And when i'm trying stuff out in the process i'll eventually hit something that just clicks and then i stick to that.
But then indeed how it works in our brain to decide what works and what doesn't is something almost magical.
I can't think of an explanation.
The tune sounds awesome
Wich interface u r using
And what's the latest while recording guitars???
Thanks you in advance!!
The song felt pretty all over the place, but that outdo tho. So delicious.
