      No problem! There’s supposedly a newer model and it comes with a new add on module to get rid of the delay. Try to look into it because that the last issue I have to fix and this unit is perfect.

      @@goatk1 Will do Thanks, I have been doing some research on multiple sellers and of course, they all come from china, But so many variables with functionality and options with NTG, ram size, storage size, and trying to figure out the best one for year 12-14 models.

      @@samln5019 actually those on ntg4 are better compatible cross the board because they have AUX and no sound over USB. There’s a Facebook group for android screens and also discord. Join before you buy because I wish I did.

      @@samln5019 any of them that have AUX. usb audio is processed and not a direct feed like aux. it’s nice in theory so you can see audio information but it makes the retrofit suck because of an almost 3 second delay between visual and audio. Not just watching media but inputs such as changing tracks

    I have a question, Do you have instructions or a part of the video where you fitted all the cables before inserting the radio?
    I’m currently in that process right now, and it’s difficult to fit in all the cables and for the radio to actually fit in all the way.

    • @goatk1
      @goatk1  Před 3 lety

      No don’t think I captured that. Easiest way is to run the full length into the passenger foot well and pull all the slack when installing the radio. Then take apart entire arm rest console and run wires through there

    Thanks for the information hopefully last question did you keep the original back up camera or use the replacement part.

    • @goatk1
      @goatk1  Před 4 lety +1

      Fif K the OEM one! It works and works well no reason to mess with it! Unless you can get the all around view aftermarket that works I wouldn’t mess with the cameras.
      I only wish I could’ve added a front camera. Option it’s there I just don’t know the best way to go about it.

    • @goatk1
      @goatk1  Před 4 lety

      With the screen they dont work at all. Ive tried with phone connected via bluetooth, a usb media device, and Android auto and so far nothing. I've messaged them t see if something is wrong but I think that has been the biggest drawback of the unit.

    Adewale did you figure out how to utilize wireless apple carplay or android auto? i been text dip for days still no info that helped I'm pissed they adviertised wireless carplay but no go i can even get wired carplay what am I doing wrong what did they not tell us or was it just a lie a swindle? actually the issue is no sound for the music or any maps carplay starts up just no sound.

    • @goatk1
      @goatk1  Před 4 lety

      Fif K you have to connect the iPhone to the inbuilt Bluetooth of the screen. Under phone where it shows the password. After that it should automatically open zlink. If not do it yourself and then your phone will ask if it’s okay to use CarPlay. The issue I have with CarPlay was before it was very delayed when receiving calls. Now after the update call don’t even work people cannot hear me and vice versa. Also just a heads up get the factory password a lot of setting you will have to fix are under that menu

    • @goatk1
      @goatk1  Před 4 lety

      Fif K for the sound issue make sure the USB audio x-over is plugged in and the factory unit is reading it. (Will be under the name music) then under the setting menu there’s an option to select which port has what settings just make sure none are set to 0
