  • In this tutorial, we will set up interactive controls that allow the animator flexibility to control the rotor speed of a helicopter. We will use float expressions and custom attributes to achieve this goal.

    Another drawback is that blades spin backwards, when you take down your speed parameter. So it's ok for take off, but wont do the landing in the same scene...

    thanks, interesting for the controls ! That's not a realistic rig in fact : rotor doesn't tilt and speed is quite constant, it's blades lift which is augmented generally, on a side or on the rear for the copter mouvement (and that's more tricky to rig... ^^)

    Mathematics and wrong approach.
    We need to control the timing not the rotation value!
