- You will feel a chill down your spine when you see Messer Chups live. I witnessed their cool performance for the first time and I pray to the dark forces that I will survive more of their terrifying shows. They unleashed their charm on The State Theater in virginal Falls Church with their blend of surf and rockabilly spiced up with projections of Italian slasher flicks and other horror B movies. Besides their original songs composed by their mastermind Oleg "Guitaracula" Fomchenkov and some sung by bassist Svetlana "Zombierella" Nagaeva (a cross between Vampira and a Monster High) they also twisted classics in their own style such as "Das Model" by Kraftwerk or "Peter Gunn" by Henry Mancini. Ladies and gentlemen, taste the razor lollipop, Messer Chups.

Love this Russian Surf band! They are so tight. Killer guitarist, knock-out bass player with some great bass technique and awesome smile and Rasputin on drums!

Great video, I love how you can hear her bass, she has some skills!! One of my favorite bands. Did you ever notice they have zero bad songs? I ask Alexa to play MC, and I never have to ask her to skip, every song is a masterpiece.

The drummer is great and the bass player looks cool but overall the music is really dull and the bass tone is awful

Very nice or very bad %%% the recording is much better than the West Virginia show. Impressive guitar, Dusenberg Bass played right, and a Ringo inspired drum kit beaten almost into submission but not destroyed. A time capsule of Surf Guitar.
