For those who don’t understand; box and 1 is a defensive scheme you’d typically see in High School where you solely focus on stopping the one great player. The fact that their using this in an NBA Finals let’s you know how special Curry is.

I was the One in high school, it got to the point where I was assigned to play and chase the ball rather than the one player. If I enter the box, it turned into ICE, trap or double team in the post. When I got switched into the box, I was merely resting because I don't play zone well because I was the smallest in the team.
As an offensive player, Curry is a lot better than anyone on his team. Not too impressive since the next best offensive player is Demarcus Cousins who is NOT in good playing shape.

@@SM-vx6zq did you watch their series against the sixers/early bucks series? they can get cold and it usually results in a loss or a heavier load onto kawhi with a very close win. i do give warriors credit on shutting down siakam, they adjusted well from game 1. but their defense still has a lot of flaws, i counted about 10 pretty good opportunities for the raptors to score in the third. had they hit 5 of those, even just 2 pointers, the 18-0 run would be a 18-10 run. I hope this is just one game because it's literally the worst times to start getting cold

@68Camaro RS/SS Ergo, Box And One not going to work if KD and/or Thompson also in the game. With just Steph on the floor ..... different ...... It worked brilliantly, and then the Raptors couldn't capitalize on offense.
But, Raptors similarly blew a game in the Bucks series (the first game). The Raptors were 5-1 since then, before Finals Game 2, so the Raptors aren't folding after just a first loss all season to the Warriors.
This Finals series is going 7 games. Both teams will scratch and claw and adjust and get some calls and get some luck .... 'till it all comes down to a game 7. I'm not sure it would have if the Warriors had a full, healthy line-up from Game 1. Warriors in 6 then, would have been my call. But, c'est la vie. 7 Games instead. And that's not bad for basketball fans.

@@abdumuminkhan8268 these videos are edited. It's super easy to balance audio. I learned Sony Vegas recently and I even do this now on my most recent videos. Only reason to not do it is if you're lazy or ignorant of the mistake.
@@pastrie42 well even if that is true, you'll notice that many channels that do collaborations like this have the external audio sound as though it is made through a call. It's common in many documentaries in which the host interviews someone and leaves the audio as it is.
Raptors halfcourt D was great. What killed them was all their live ball turnovers and overall poor offense that led to points off of turnovers for GS

The Box+1 worked after Klay went out. With Klay and Curry together on the floor, this is useless as two shooters will run the floor simultaneously and sure one of them will be open.

Made that quick. It seemed legions of people on Twitter were outraged by Curry drawing fouls (1 was a little worse than the other) one where he stopped in his tracks and got barrelled into as he goes into his shooting motion, the other he kind of contorts and jumps into the guy.
I don't necessarily like those as a fan, but I felt like Raptors were getting away with all kinds of stuff to Curry offball (and even on ball [that steal that they checked for a clear path was bullshit]).
Then there's Serge being his usual dirty self, and Kawhi barreling into the paint. Looney was getting super frustrated I think, then the play he got laid out happened. *Would love to see you do a breakdown of not even the referee'ing, but what constitutes "physicality" and where the line is for regular season play/playoffs/finals and when it starts to become dirty or problematic.*

They almost choke because klay was back in the locker room, the box and one is a big threat for a dominant scorer as curry is the only offensive option left in the fourth, this is what coach is telling us.

Even the greatest teams go cold and that's exactly what happened in Game 2 for the Raptors. It's a hard breaking loss because it would've put the Raptors in a great position to win the series but please don't forget they are playing amazing defense. That will carry on in the rest of the series, and its looking very bright for the Raptors.
