      😪plz make animated textures , not all people want make realistic games , some of us want make games like legend of zelda or warld of warcraft .

      Can you please add some actually modular doors?
      Currently most doors that called "modular" in the bridge are actually not, you can't animate them can't open them. Only 1 green door is actually modular.
      Or just redo the existing doors, just make them modular

    I hope for a mixer update soon! That program is the most important thing about megascans. Hope we will get a faster and more responsive version soon :)

    Browsing the megascan content is always such an inspiration! If you are interested what i feel is lacking the most in this already wast collection..it would be international roadmarkings,..searchable by country.

    The garden plants collection is just great.
    I understand quixel is all about scanning the real world. But usually I end up using those collections that have been slightly intervened to make a game ready prop, like the trees, modular walls etc. I'm all about those, keep em coming

    u know what, the quixel library could be literaly empty and take ur prompts to generate assets just like midjourney, it could live in the content browser waiting to magicaly generate whatever u ask for (an empty but yet full browser at the same time). U could ask rather for an alpha, a noise, a seamless wood texture or a complete material. Moreover, there is already a website that gives u functional 3Dmodels based on pictures so, imagine what an AI trained with megascans + sketchfab + artstation + marketplace...etc would do...

      Even if it did happen it wouldn’t look photoreal, and would take hours to load even 1 material. would also kill an industry of 3d artists.

    I mostly use a plane and apply the decal to it. This makes it much better controllable

    Question from someone who is relatively new to video game development: how performance heavy is using megascans on more than 50% of your assets? Is it possible to use *only* megascans without your PC exploding into bits?

    I tried to use decals the other day on my project, but there is something I didn't understand.
    Even if I tried to minimize the Z axis of my decals to only affect my wall in my level, if at runtime I had an actor getting really close with a decal, then it was also affected.
    Isn't is a way to bake the decals to the static world elements of a map and not having them active at runtime ?

    This is so so cool and amazingly realistic. I don't know anything about developing games and all. So i wonder now, since these are "decals" or like "stamps." How do you make things move? Like when you walk in to a game and run against a garbage can... (Just as an example.) Is that all code? Or can it be done automatically?

    How did they get the Mixer mesh to Unreal? Traditional import?

      Just performed an export of the mesh with the custom maps from Mixer and did a traditional import to Unreal.

      I think they exported it to Bridge and then imported into Unreal, which works if Mixer and Bridge use the same library location.

    When I use decals, they have no depth, they look 2d plus ue use some of decals as textures, and I cant fix it, any one knows why?

      because UE5 doesn't support displacement

      Btw I use ue4, as my system is not high enough for ue5, but even with ue4, I've seen they use decals without a single problem!

    Looks great, but I think we are a bit to late on this. A.I is becoming so insanely good at this, it will become pointless for humans to waste time creating sets block by block asset by asset... when A.I will do it in a click of a button. And this will come faster than all of us think. I cant even imagine what will next decade of 3D rendering look like...
