Here's why I think Denver signed Melvin Gordon. Phillip Lindsey struggled when he had to block defenders. Having Gordon being a bigger player can protect more efficiently with his size. Plus, in a goal line stance, there will be more beef running the ball with Andy Janovich being traded away.

Quinn is over payed but he’s going to allow Mack to face less blocking and limit offenses on play calling and formation. Bulaga is great when he's healthy. Paying him top 5 money when he's been hurt almost every year in the league is suspect and definitely not an A in my opinion. Gordon isn't a less effective player. One stat and one stat only is the reason we signed him. Lindsay completed 20 percent of his 3rd down conversions last year. Gordon? 60. The broncos ranked 30th on 3rd down conversions last year. Just makes sense.

The Austin Hooper signing deserved a higher grade, David Nkoku was hurt all season the previous season and could get hurt again, having Hooper was smart of the browns for once 😂

The reason why the broncos signed Gordon was because we were looking to make a ridiculous 1-2 punch under a double running back schemed Pat Shurmur. And we arent looking to trade Lindsay, we are looking to trade the under performing Royce Freeman.
Elway signed Gordon because Lindsay is a small running back who split carries with Royce Freeman, Gordon is just a much better Freeman, also 2 good RBs> 1 great RB

Quinn is over payed but he’s going to allow Mack to face less blocking and limit offenses on play calling and formation. He’s good enough that if he faces single coverage consistently he will have a big year... I cannot deny that 5 years is ridiculous, but he will upgrade the Bears D and allow them to rush fewer players while maintaining constant pressure.

If you watch the bears you would know the bears needed a pass rusher it might not have been the number 1 or 2 need but they needed one especially after releasing Floyd who was mediocre at best. When Hicks got injured the pass rush looked god awful cause the others couldn’t get pressure and sacks.Mack without hicks was double and triple teamed every single play with all three of them healthy it’s gonna be a nightmare but even with Quinn,Mack,or Hicks injured that pass rush is still not a joke

Bulaga is great when he's healthy. Paying him top 5 money when he's been hurt almost every year in the league is suspect and definitely not an A in my opinion. Melvin Gordon is not a D that is an A or B. He’s not inconsistent he can play all 3 downs now you have two good backs that are young that can help out their young qb.
