We have a Trailhawk and an Overland in my family. The Overland actually has a nicer ride, despite having lower profile tires. The reason is because the Trailhawk has Kevlar All Terrain tires and they are a lot heavier and stiffer than the all season tires on the Overland.
There are a couple other differences not mentioned in the video that I noticed. One being the front seats having more bolstering in the Trailhawk versus the Overland. The other is that the Overland has an available 19 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system which was optioned in the Overland being shown while the best stereo the Trailhawk can get is the 9 speaker Alpine stereo system which is standard in the Overland. The Trailhawk seats I was told are the same seats that are in the SRT Trackhawk.

Interior options are about equal and all factors being equal If they offered a 20” factory wheel Option for the Trailhawk I might have considered. Wound up going with the greyed out look of the High Altitude. Both V6 and 4X4 Due to COVID-19 some color selections may not be available for all models. Example the Sing Grey and Granite Crystal is Not Available for HA at least as of my purchase date. My first choice was the Granite Crystal but since N/A for HA I went with Slate Blue. The cargo compartment cover is nice, my dog uses it as a shaded “Man Cave during travel, shade and water along with a tether harness for safety. Enough room to move slightly but not too much!
Thanks for the great video. I bought a 2019 Overland with the adventure pack here in Australia. I would (almost) kill for the silver front tow hooks which are not standard or available here. Dealer wants to charge $2000!!! Any suggestions or ideas? Cheers
Lot's of stuff missed here. And as mentioned below, one of the biggest is SRT seats on Trailhawk, which are superior; more supportive without being confining. But in this case, the above Trailhawk has the luxury package and the above Overland has the off-road package, so they are equipped pretty similarly beyond interior and exterior trim.
We have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit with that gorgeous saddle interior the vehicle has been amazing for us and now has 137,000 MI we've done some work that needed to be done because original parts were out and we love it the Plain Jane Interiors are not for us. We love the saddle interior on the Overland Summit.
The overland has Selectable ride Height as well as "Rock Crawl Mode." It may have more Chrome, but it also has Selectable Options depending on Terrain. I don't think the Trailhawk has an option to raise or lower suspension by 4in at a whim? Also, do they both come with Steel Plating that covers the undercarriage?

If you get the V8 in both all of that is the same exact thing. Same TCase the QD2, same air suspension, same gearing. I wanted to get he wife a trailhawk but she wants the light color interior. After doing research I found if you option the Offroad package on the overland it is literally a trailhawk with nicer interior and better stereo.

I have a 2016 JGC Overland Trail Rated, White outside with the light interior. A much, much nicer interior ambiance (I agree with your wife!) and the same exactly capabilities of the Trailhawk. My point has been proven in the many off-road trails that I have been on in the States and in Europe (Greece and Italy) where I have shipped my Jeep and am currently enjoying it; about 65% of the time off-roading. An awesome car, no doubt and with NO problems/issues thus far!
Yes sir, the 5.7L Hemi V8 is available in both trim levels, and yes, in both vehicles you can get the 8.4" touchscreen. Pricing on the Overland will be slightly higher.

The Overland 4x4 V6 comes with QuadraTrac II and the V8 comes with QuadraDrive II. Both include the QuadraLift air suspension, and both come standard with the trailer tow group.
My question is about the limited slip differential. I know on the Overland and other trims you must choose the V8 in order to get it. Is that the same with the Trailhawk? Or can I stay with the V6 on the Trailhawk and still have the limited slip differential?
I am in Central FL and I took delivery of a 2020 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4x4 Hemi V8 fully loaded except for the DVD Screens on the Head Rest and mine came with the Cargo Cover as Standard Equipment and a very nice Alpine Sound System with Subwoofer. My Trailhawk does have both the Pro Tech group 1 and 2 plus the V8 so that might have change the status of the cover I did put Weather Tech Liners in mine because the ones that Jeep put in ARE NICE but they DO NOT GO as HIGH as the WT and when you are Off-Roading you will dirt in the carpet with the Jeep Mats. One more thing the Trailhawk is more a Off Roader Grand Cherokee where the Overlander is more of a Luxury Boat that has 4WD! I will Agree with N English I do wish you would have been down here because the salesman that I had was a Total Idiot when it came to Jeep Products and his excuse was that he was new to the Brand!!! I purchased my Trailhawk from one of the Bigger Dealerships in Central FL that carries Ford, Dodge, Jeep and Ram all in the same lot but in different building and I had ZERO Support setting up the Sirius XM with the 1yr free subscription and all the other Services that were included in the Purchase of a 2020 Grand Cherokee! It used to be when you spent $55K on a vehicle items like Cellphone and Wi-Fi would have been setup before you left the dealership, my Grand Cherokee was not even Detailed before delivery all they did was hit it with some water to get the Pollen off the Paint! I got a pretty good deal on my Grand Cherokee. According to Car Guru and TrueCar I got a VERY GOOD Deal for a purchase done on Feb 2, 2020 I kinda wish I had waited a couple more weeks I could have properly knocked off another 3-4K off the Price!
Man your lucky to find a Hemi V8 trailhawk, iv been looking everywhere and all everyone has are V6, I’m looking at getting into a 2020 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk also just slowly trying to drop the price, they wanted 70,000$ CAD I got it down to 60,000$ if they drop it to 57,000$ I’ll take it, how is the car in general how do you like it?

They both come with two options the V6 or the V8 but regardless of motor both come standard with dual exhaust. I have a trailhawk and it’s standard equipment.
Not true at all, the suspension is different has a front locker hill accent and decent tires are Kevlar lined. The trailhawk has skid plates underneath standard dual exhaust. SRT seats, gunmetal grey trim with red accent. More standard equipment and higher rated tow equipment, such as increased cooling, increased amperage on alternator, and class IV hitch. That’s just to name a few. No disrespect just informing. Some of what I listed is optional on limited but standard on trailhawk.
man i got tha overland 5.7 with tha luxury interior with tha hemi engine that im going to rebuild and mod mannnn overland is top tier. i hate the interior or tha srt and tracchawk i wanted luxury and muscle and u get it with tha overland

Terrific video Tyler! I prefer the Overland. The only thing I don't like about it are the chrome side mirrors. Everything else is a plus.

What is the 4x4 system I know the Grand Cherokee has a few options and I am confused with this. I would want the best 4x4 for off-road.
The best off-road 4x4 system is Quadra-Drive II, and is available in the Trailhawk and select Overland and Summit models.
I believe the trail hawk has the Quadra drive 2 system,the overland does not

Seems to me the side bolsters on the trail hawk seats are absolutely massive compared to Overland or maybe the camera adds a couple of pounds.
You're right, the Trailhawk gets the SRT seats....which are badass. Someone should call this sales guy and inform him :)

K. Theodos The Elsd is part of the Trailhawk package. Doesn't matter on engine choice.

jratch100 any Jeep GC equipped with Quadra-Drive II comes with the ELSD. It’s standard on the Trailhawk and optional on Limited on up.
I have it on my 2020 Overland and it’s the 6 not V8. It was an upgrade option.
