But that doesn't help with navigating a battlefield and a bullet doesn't care if you have a black belt in judo or how fast you can sprint. If your enemy can spot and take opportunities to attack faster than you, thats curtains unless he misses (in which experience also helps).

If anything getting shot in the head will just incapacitate you and put you in a coma. Plus head shots are rare. Imagine genetically engineered soldiers that when they get shot their blood instantly coagulates when it comes into contact with the environment outside the body. Imagine men like that who never get tired, never get sick, are never incapacitated by pain, maybe they don't even need oxygen to survive because they discovered a way to store ATP (the molecule that powers our bodies in cellular respiration) in muscle tissue and when the blood oxygen level dips it's released into their body. That is all within the realm of possibility. Good luck taking on a platoon of guys like that with decades of Special forces level training. I was in the army and my lame ass was medically discharged for a shoulder injury I got in training, a ruck march. So pathetic. The military would love soldiers that can train nonstop and never acquire permanent injuries they lose so much money to having to discharge service members prematurely and pay them disability.

      Well written? Seriously?
After a lifetime of super elite military training all they do in actual combat is to just awkwardly walk towards their enemies like Frankenstein's Monster, guns blazing.
Something tells me you could have had that level of tactical finesse and cunning without training them from childbirth on.
Also, after probably investing millions into each of those supposed super soldiers they just kill one because he wasn't particularly fit that day? Without checking whether he might have had a illness?
And that was the first day they actually tested the physical strength of their super soldiers and they didn't detect that that one was too weak sometimes during those 12 years or so they were training him at that point?
Is this story happening in the "Idiocracy" universe, where everyone is really, really dumb? I guess that would explain why the ability to walk and shoot at the same time makes you a super soldier in that world.

But this movie had the core elements. Main character had a bad background and flaws but in time, he overcomes them and makes a self-sacrifice decision to save the people whom saved him previously.

I have always loved this movie, since the first time I saw it about a year or so after it came out. Even though I was too young to understand all of it then, it stuck with me. It is a classic of the 90s brand of action films.

I was a teen back then and I found it lame and disappointing, just a lame (not well choreographed) slug fest on a sound-stagey looking junkjard.
Back then we had better movies of that kind, stuff like "Universal Soldier".

      It says art imitates life.
The message is that Husbands/Fathers, hinder women's empowerment and 'fulfillment'.
Men are only good for war and only the most violent ones are rewarded with affection.
Soon our world will look just like the one depicted in the movie.

I unexpectedly came across this movie channel surfing late at night as a young whoopersnayper and it was totally polarizing in a 90's sort of way. Good flick with a warm and cozy ending, I love this kind of movie! Nowadays you get a sick twist dipped in some potential trauma therapy a year or two down the road or some night terrors at the very least. Kids roll it up, consume it, then fire up another heapin' helpin' of psychologically weird horror that passes these days and times as cinema. lol cest la vie 🤪👌
