Honda NSX GT3 Evo22 in action at Monza Circuit: Start Up, Accelerations & Sound!

- This video is about various Honda NSX GT3s I recorded during some Kateyama test days at Monza Circuit last year.
The NSX GT3 has been designed by Honda R&D in Japan in collaboration with JAS Motorsport, an Italian racing team and company which have developed, built and raced cars in various different disciplines for the Japanese manufacturer since 1998. It was unveiled in mid 2017 in order to be fielded by private teams in the various championships around the World from the 2018 seasons.
In 2019 a first 'Evo' kit was released, adding new splitters and rear diffusers in order to reduce drag and improve cooling, new turbos for the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 to sharpen throttle response, improved ABS and an upgraded Bosch data-logger.
At the end of the 2021 season a new update package was under development to be used from 2022. This package, called Evo22, is mainly focused on mechanical and ''hidden'' upgrades such as new engine intercoolers, to ensure consistency in engine performance in a wider range of conditions, revised spring rates and suspension geometry adjustments, increased fluid tank sizes for endurance racing. The only small visible element introduced with the Evo22 kit is a rectangular FIA-mandated rear-rain light. Previous NSX GT3s had a thin, elongated LED light instead for that purpose.

Probably the most underrated supercar of the last 15 years. Not the BEST, but certainly not as respected as it should be. Road & Track sang this car's praises every chance they got. Can't suck under those circumstances, right?
I think we will look back on this car in 10-20 years time as some what misunderstood. Because it was a great concept but the market didn’t quite understand and still doesn’t.

Fun Fact: The NC1 3.5L V6 power unit, for both the street and GT3 race cars, were co-developed and manufactured by Cosworth!
That would be the block & heads. The NSX engine does not employ variable valve timing or electronic lift control.

@Dartgame 340 Many people don't know about the partnership with such a prestigious racing organization. Further showing that the NC1 NSX has alot more racing heritage and capability than most assume.

otherwise, you may not take part in the competition. if allowed to be made alone, then the race will be difficult to control, it can even be difficult for the owner of the race itself to understand.
As a Porsche guy, not a honda dude, I still have always loved this thing. Both the street car and the GT3. Sounds amazing, looks the part, and goes well since the EVO22 update.

@@joeleonard9965 it is a different sound, but I like it. Nothing matches a flat 6 scream, for sure. But this still sounds good.
The new NSX is covered in angles and acura V's, porsche is much better looking sounding car even us honda fans agree. Sadly no ayrton senna with pininfarina, this was designed by a female intern.
nostalgia is blinding you. Ayrton's role in the original nsx is overstated. He only drove it a couple times during development. He had no hand in the outside design. The new one, despite its angles has a nice presence in person. @@stomach6968

I thought to myself "you don't see many of those" and then I realised that you could say that about literally every model of NSX there has ever been. I know the old Type-Rs get hyped to all hell nowadays, but NSXs have always been a rare sight in reality. Even on racetracks outside Japan.
the gt3 car is quite popular. won the imsa gtd (gt3) class in IMSA in north america a few years back, and there are customers in european gt championships too for it

Pretty good but on a few scenes is followed by that flat 6 from a Porsche GT3 which out shone it. Pretty much nothing beats a Porsche GT3 going up or down through the gears.

Because they are evolutions of the previous cars. After some time GT3 cars need Evolutions else they can't race anymore.
