    I'm so glad that they took out the engines on these buses and placed it on the route 227 Crystal Palace to Bromley North (2012 number plates), they still move really fast.

      They would never do that. The LX12 plates on the 227 have ZF Gearboxes, these are voith.

      How the fuck are people buying this stupid shit? Nobody would ever do that
      If they did, that would actually downgrade the 227 Citaros from Euro 5 to Euro 3....

      In 2012, Ex bendy buses may have be seen at Waterloo garage

    Oh of course, it's the Ealing Hospital section. I'm thinking, "What space does the 207 actually have for such kickdown, completely missing out on the Hayes to Uxbridge section?"

    • @KickdownLondon
      @KickdownLondon  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes, the driver was enjoying it. Also had a Stagecoach bendy on the 207 on the same day, but the video didn't make the cut due to insufficient kickdown usage!

      @@nate9457 Hi Nathaniel, these routes were operated by First London. However, they did hire some Stagecoach (and Go-Ahead!) Citaro-Gs for service on the 18 and 207 shortly before the lot were withdrawn. I travelled on a Stagecoach example on the 207 the day this video was taken, but it never got uploaded because the driver wasn't flooring it!

    I doubt it, some have been transferred for work elsewhere in the country.

    After the bendy bus withdrawal, there were still Mercedes Benz Citaros, not the bendy ones, just the single ones without the bellows

      Yeah they're on the 108 at the moment but they are soon getting withdrawn too.

    Awesome video it's a shame there not in London service anymore (would have been especially needed for socially distancing in this current situation 😳) and there are not many bendybuses in the UK but at least many countries in continental Europe have them and still continue to purchase them in the future

    • @oforid2227
      @oforid2227 Před 3 lety +1

      it's because most of our roads are too small for the bendy buses to go around and knowing how old most of London is it's not a common occurrence and they courage fare dodgers like the Boris buses have done

    • @DanielsUKT
      @DanielsUKT Před 3 lety +2

      @@oforid2227 the roads have become more smaller as a result of cycle lanes being built nearly everywhere especially in the city centre
