It's funny, as he mentions how he got his inspiration for the bucket, Fukouka is always that one city that pops up during my search in CZcams and Google for the good stuff and restaurants. Fukouka is that one location, that's been mentioned the most, even cities like Kyoto. which also has great restaurants and specialties.

Seeing this really reminds me of my hometown Penang's famous street food "Tok Tok Mee". Vendors who sell this food would use wood slabs or sticks to make noises that sounds like "Tok tok" around the street to announce their presence when they're doing business hence the name "Tok Tok Mee" and customers who lives near by would lower down their basket or bucket from the windows of their building to buy and collect their orders. The locals love the food so much we even have a sculpture of it placed in the heart of our town's historical site. I'm really surprised to see how food culture and ideas around the world can share so much similarities even when we're so far apart in distance.

I've had ramen several times throughout my travels through Europe and all of them are amongst the worst I've ever had. This gives me some hope though.

Very cool that he is able to do this in Berlin. Unfortunately I don't see this being a thing in most US cities due to strict zoning and food laws. Which is hilarious considering we're talking about Germany and America. What a shameful country we've let ourselves become.

If I remember correctly there are some legal issues with running shops like this. Health code violations to be exact. Is he completely following regulations. Hate to be that guy but it seems like it would be a legal grey area.
Just an observation. If something works in Japan, it is likely to work in Germany as well and vice versa.
As much as it looks great I do hope he used gloves when handling my toppings or the yapping king is gonna come and drop the worst commentary 😂
