It's on to the next movement in bowling ball reaction. It's time for Storm Phaze II!
Following in the footsteps of the original Phaze, the Phaze II takes things to a different level.
The Phaze II also uses the amazing Velocity core, which creates a predictable and versatile backend reaction. Controlling the back part of the lane is a key to scoring, especially on difficult lane conditions.
Where the Phaze II really steps up its game is with the new TX-16 Solid Reactive coverstock. This coverstock really grips the lane, making the Phaze II Storm's biggest hooking symmetric ball of all-time.
Here is what Storm Bowling has to say about the Phaze II:
The additive in the TX-16 breed of coverstock responds impeccably well to surface adjustments too. If there were ever a ball to exist that could read your mind, this Phaze II is it!
Tony with a 323 league average? lol
He's pretty good
with handicap 100% of 350? LOL.
I avg 324
324 / 2 games lol
Reminds me of the IQ Tour Edition (Solid)! Strong heavy roll through the mid-lanes but still tons of backend
They definitely have a similar reaction shape, only the Phaze II is MUCH stronger!
how does the coverstock take changes?
Really well. It polishes up great and with a little more surface can be used on even the heaviest of oil.
Forget to let go of the ball there at 0:32 ? haha
Hi
Im alex from germany and i play bowling round about 40 years and im a typical tweener.
Is the phaze 2 inbetween a Sure lock ( with some games on it) and a united revolt?
Alex
I recently bought a Code Black (after a demo day). Sick ball! The Phase 2 didn't react quite as strongly for me (striker/medium speed - a gestimation, as I don't know my ball speed). I'll be talking to my pro shop about 2-3 complimentary balls. Ideas?
Most likely there wasn't enough oil on the lanes for the Phaze II to react to the best of its abilities. Phaze II/Alpha Crux for heavier oil where you need an earlier roll. Hy-Road or Hy-Wire for medium. Hustle or Joy Ride for lighter oil. One other earlier rolling ball for medium conditions would be helpful like the Wreck-It or Match Solid.
I just got the phaze 2. For some reason keep hitting it through the head head pin no matter how much angle I get. I throw the ball slow at round 13-14mph. I feel like the phaze 2 has to much grip on the lane and I cant get enough on it to get it down the lane before it wants to grip/hook. Should I consider a pearl ball instead of the phaze 2? thanks love the content.
I somewhat got the same feeling with my phaze 2
If I get this ball will my average also be 323?
Any difference between the optimus solid and the phaze 2?which one of them hook earlier?
Yes, they are different. The Optimus Solid hooked earlier for us. The Phaze II stored energy better and created more angle on the backend.
I want to get the Phaze II at 12 pounds, but I don't think it's as effective as the heavier Phaze IIs. Would it still be good for a two hander to have a 12lb Phaze II?
12 lb Phaze II will still be effective yes, but may not have as much hitting power as some of the heavier weights you may see in the videos. It will still roll well for you though :)
Damn he AVERAGES 323? I gotta take tips from Tony!
I was about to say that as well
i have the Snap Lock and Hyroad in my arsenal. will this be a good ball to add?
Yes, this ball would go great with both of those!
Finally shot my first 700 with this ball. It peels back from anywhere and still has hitting power when you put it in the oil.
Congrats!
Can’t decide if I want a idol or this
This along with the Street Fight look a lot better than the original Phaze. Can't wait to throw them at my Matchmaking on Thursday
Both are outstanding!
How would this compare to the original Fight? Would it be ok to have both?
Absolutely! The Street Fight will have more length and a stronger backend than the Fight.
Tony keeping up with that 323 average.
Wow this is a ball! How does this compare to the lock? Both look great ;)
The Phaze II isn't as strong as the Lock and it's also not as angular as the Lock. They definitely have a different reaction shape. You could certainly have a Lock and a Phaze II in your bag.
Really? Wow thanks for the info!
Damn. 323??? Bowling god right here xD
How would this compare to the original Lock?
The Phaze II is slightly weaker than the Lock. It will have a strong arc movement as opposed to the Lock's overall strong hook motion. The Phaze II will also handle heavier oil a bit better because of it's solid cover.
bowlingballcom thanks guys appreciate it. I have the lock and a buddy gave me a phaze 2 was just curious if it was worth the plug and redrill
Shot 732 with this ball 227-238-267! Couldn't have asked for a better ball!
Nice bowling!
bowlingballcom thank you!
how does this ball compare to the Gauntlet?
The Gauntlet is much stronger and reads the lane earlier (mainly due to the coverstock finish). Also, due to the Gauntlet being asymmetrical, it is more angular than the Phaze II.
How does this compare to the haywire
The Phaze II is more angular and has a bit more length. It's also slightly stronger than the Haywire. Both are similar balls.
I wish I avg 323!
Back at it with the 323 average I see, the rest of us bowlers need to step up our games to even come close.
Yeah, he's making you look bad!
How is this compared to the storm fight
Much stronger, heavier roll and earlier read. It's also a bit more angular.
I didn't know a 323 was possible lmbo. It must be with handicap 😂😂😂😂
We corrected it with a annotation to 223 ;)
Please better music
each bowler throw just 3 shot.. is too shot~ i need more test shot~~
he just does not go to tournaments cause he feels like he is cheating the professionals out of money
