  • This video about my deaf accent and some of the interactions I've had with people over the years about my accent. A common question I've gotten is "Where are you from?" or "Where's your accent from?" as people try to figure it out.
    P.S. I apologize to any audiophiles out there for the terrible sound quality of this. I recorded this on my SLR camera for the first time not realizing how old the camera is and sound quality isn't as good as my phone. I've learned my lesson.

    I love your accent too. I'm hard of hearing, I don't have a deaf accent though. Watching from London UK.

    Hi Anna! Great video- thanks for sharing this! I have a question- can you hear your voice or is it more like you feel it?

      Hi Charlene, I feel my voice when I don't have my implant in. I can hear my voice through the implant, but it's not what my voice actually sounds like since a cochlear implant is man-made sounds.
