The underwater joke felt like he was possessed for a moment by Norm MacDonald.
He’s got a lot of Norm-isms in the interviews I’ve seen. Considering he’s a comedy fan and good friends with Conan, I’d be shocked if he wasn’t a Norm fan.

I also love it isn't the only time he's told it on Conan. He feels like one of those Uncles who tells the same jokes over and over again.
He does though. I was thinking this especially in another interview I was watching where he tells a story about a cut marvel cameo for Captain Japan.
He tells a lot of these somewhat meandering stories that are sort-of believable but obviously made-up that don't really seem to go anywhere until all of a sudden they do. All the while sprinkling in the occasional old-school vaudeville-esque joke that is objectively awful, but still makes you laugh because of the delivery. Much of the structure of his stories and segments are similar to the way Norm might do it, but he's just a bit more animated and inviting in the way he tells it. @@tafttheraft5314

This is the rare example of an actor -- an _excellent_ actor -- who actually comes off way more awesome as a person than he does in his occupation. And literally, every role I've seen him in, from Go to Die Hard and everything in between, he's terrific.
Most all of his roles are some kind of scumbags. He's a straight up murderer in all three of his staring TV roles.
How does such a perfect man exist. Handsome, loves his wife, down to earth, funny. Damn.

Timothy Olyphant needs to be a weekly guest
The way Olyphant talks about him and his wife, you really get the vibe that they're a really good team like they GOTTA be a perfect match for each other. And that's just so subtly wholesome and sweet. He doesn't need to _gush_ all the time like some people, everybody just _knows_ they have been and will be together for the long haul.
Actors like him and Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Pierce Brosnan, and others who cultivated strong marriages unaffected by their careers are the true gentlemen of Hollywood.

Conan’s show works so amazingly better than every other late show because of Andy, I believe. He adds another element that I feel makes guests more comfortable than it just being a one on one conversation
Timothy comes off so chill and laid back. I like that him and Conan are legit friends beyond the show, too. How awesome would it be to do some bar hopping with the 2 of those guys?

I’ve had a terrible crush on Olyphant since ‘Deadwood.’ He’s a great actor, but more to the point - I love his personality. Very smart, witty, quick on his feet (mind), and he’s such a generous guest on talk shows. He has a good time and really enjoys making Conan, Andy, and the audience laugh. I never get the feeling that he’s schlumping because his agent forces him to go and promote his work. He’s been married forever and a dad, too. Bet he’s a good man all around.
