I love how they portrayed Charles Darwin. In a lot of media, men that become prominent in history are depicted like noble heroes but in this Darwin is exactly as I have read. He was just a regular guy presenting some of his hypothesis and taking a lot of heat as a result. After all, *Origin of Species* was widely reviled at the time it was published so it makes sense here that he even asks Essex for his support rather than the other way around.
He kinda lost himself. The obsession with Jean makes sense in that she's resembles Rebecca. It possible as he stopped identifying as Essex, he began forgetting his wife.
@Limau Purut He has one foot in the grave in that he is wheelchair stricken by strokes. I was saying this based on that old transvestite movie he did in the seventies. Thats who i they based the cartoon version of him
Or maybe JOHN STAMOS FROM FULL HOUSE who knows, anybody can play him, JASON MOARA, HENRY CAVILL, BEN AFFLECK OR THE ROCK but it would be nice to have powers just to become GOD'S
@@cruzloera4931 wolverine was born in the 1840's and mystique was born in the 18th century therefore mr.Sinister isn't even the oldest recuring character outside of apocalypse.
@@HamanKarn567 yeah I am too especially after the Easter eggs in movies and not to spoil but direct mention in the new mutants movies. It’s like well overdue for him to have a movie appearance hopefully he’s not gonna end up the same way apocalypse did in x men apocalypse
I say natural selection has its purpose, but doesn’t mean God doesn’t control natural selection or that God doesn’t give the human soul that isn’t found in any other species.
S'funny, I thought Nathaniel Essex was supposed to be British. Not this version, if his accent's any indication. And on the subject of accents; the makers of this cartoon seem to think that because the author of Origin of Species is called Charles DarWIN, he should sound like he comes from DarWEN. He was from the Midlands of England, not the North. It's like us making a cartoon with a character who's supposed to be born and raised in Manhattan introducing himself by saying "Howdee! Ah'm a - gunna mosey on down to Central Park for to rope me a steer!" Or somesuch.
SickBoy666100 definitely agree, this show was so faithful to the comics too, The Phoenix Saga was so spot on, that they had to give the original writers more credit than usual. I don’t know why they did this, especially since Apocalypse has a fairly big part in the show.

I had no idea.
Yeah he is actually quite a problematic figure 😂
Not to mention his problematic opinions on other subjects 😅
Charles Darwin hated God. He was a failure at life and a heathen. His kids passed away and he now may be in the lake of fire
I wouldn't lie this truly humanizes Sinister
He kinda lost himself. The obsession with Jean makes sense in that she's resembles Rebecca. It possible as he stopped identifying as Essex, he began forgetting his wife.
"Good Heavens you're quite mad" -Charles Darwin
That should be the opening quote on his x-men bio entry.
I think Tim Curry would have been the perfect mr sinister.

James Purefoy would be great casting.
Mr.sinister old as hell sheez!
And apocalypse was the one who gave sinister his powers
Wolverine was already around by the 1850,s, teen or young adult. He may even be 500 years old according to some of the comics.
Mystique too I think

Sabertooth is older than logan@@walterszewczyk9024
I am looking forward to mister sinister in the x-men movies when the time comes
If they do him right of course. Many characters they change too drastically.
That didn’t happen

Posts that didn't age well
He is LONG OVER DUE! 👍😁
One of my favorite villians.
Love how the series risked putting more complex non superhero action in a Saturday morning episode. 👏
honestly one of the most intrestering characters/villains ever made, hands down i dont care what anyone says lol
Been looking for this full "lost" episode. It's not part of the DVD collection.
1:17
The first four notes of Mr. Sinister’s theme.
Interesting Fox allowed Charles Darwin to be a character on their most popular cartoon.
And without being cast as a villain.
The H8gh EvolutionRy already showed up
Who is Cyclops's ancestor in the episode?.
The guy at the back 0:43 is me when ppl explain stuff bout natural selection
Lmao.... I'd legit never noticed that. Good call.
Hopefully mister spinster will be in the X men movie
Wow sinister really old
thank you for posting this
thank you for watching
Hope to see his character portrayed in the mcu soon great origin story hopefully with apocalypse done correctly.
He so creepy for MCU
2:56 😂 parlor tricks and QUACKERY?? 😂😂😂
interesting i remember this part
Mr. Sinister reminds me of Vampire 🧛he looks like a Vampire too
mister sinster use to be normal
What’s normal
My favorite villain. I love the prequel story.
Who is watching in the year of our Lord 2019 ?
Meeeee doing research for that X Men spec
That would be I, 2020 is nigh.
2024
I am the rocks of the eternal seashores, CRASH AGAINST ME AND B BROKEN!!!
that's more Apocalypse
0:17 and I thought he was a soft old man, but I’m glad he stood his ground when Mr. Sinister said they would become gods.
Why are you skipping clips?
Nathaniel Essex
Charles Darwin was a legendary scientist
Quackery!!! 😂😂😂
I recognize the voice of Charles Darwin from Redwall.
I want the scene where James slaps the dude and is like, You offend me!
Ewan macgregor should
Play him live action
Sinister is a fool. Don't even attempt to be like a god.
You spelled 'God,' with a lower case 'g.'
@Convict Conditioning he insane and dilute for what try to do.
Is he powerful that Magneto?
Never peeped the people sleep behind x
Claremont's origin for sinister was better, this origins isn't bad but it kills the mystique
Mister Sphincter
Xmen movies are over. Logan dieded.
Hey my book is very different from this cartoon
Where is apocalypse?
I say natural selection has its purpose, but doesn’t mean God doesn’t control natural selection or that God doesn’t give the human soul that isn’t found in any other species.
Was Mr sinister an atheist like Charles Darwin?
Off course. All gods is just metahumans-mutants
Charles Darwin wasn’t an atheist. He was a deist though became more of an agnostic when his daughter died at age 10, except for certain principles.
what is with the animation? looks like those cheesy shows from the 70s
The animation took a huge dive due to budget cuts in the end of season 5, which lead to its short end

This origin story is bullshit. Apocalypse gave Sinister most of his powers

Even Charles Darwin calls your research bullshit.
