Wow! Wow! Wow! Thanks for the print test. It definitely helped me understand why it takes a bit longer to print. And the quality shows!

    For color
You can change color profile ICC file. or even calibrate your own ICC profile.

portability, longer print times, and having to change out the media versus a larger size and cheaper prints seems like the qw410 already lost

Hey very informative, thanks. Can you print wirelessly from a phone using the Qw410? And if so, what is needed? Also, would love to be able to do that as well as add some kind of png overlay as well. What do you recommend?

Glad to hear it! You can't natively print wirelessly, but can in conjunction with DNPs WCM-2 (www.imagingspectrum.com/dnp-wireless-connect-module-wcm-2.html). I don't think they let you add a PNG overlay as part of that process, but it's definitely worth looking into!

    Where did you buy it?

if you turn off the anti curl option in the smaller printer, it will print 3sec faster...*apparently*

    Thanks for your informative review!
One question I cannot seem to find the answer to, is how many files can you throw into the printer queue at once and just let the printer grind away at them? In other words, can I send 100 files to print without the driver and/or printer queue software crashing?
FYI at this time, B&H price for media = $.15/4x6.

Hey Tom! We use Breeze Hotfolder Prints and, while it crashes every once in a blue moon, it mostly handles massive queues - I've processed 400+ photos into a folder and let it bang out prints without an issue. That said - if you copy/paste into a watch folder, you MIGHT not get what you expected with multi-image prints, since the image sequence will potentially be out of order.
We shoot everything as RAW in C1 and then process to JPG, so even if you're re-processing an entire event, it will still go one by one and keep the image sequences intact.

@@Twodudesphoto Thanks for your quick reply! Well I'd rather not have to buy $175 software... can't I just use the regular Apple printer setup found in System Preferences? I plan to shoot JPEGs sized for 4x6 prints and tweaked in-camera to give me the color, white balance, saturation, etc. I want right out of the camera. So the files should be pretty small.

@@tomweis1194 Sure you can - for printing full-bleed images, I've used Automator to auto-print from a watch folder, and then I can add a PNG overlay (if I'm using one) in C1.
I thought maybe you were using this for a business. That $175 software makes it super easy to do custom multi-image layouts with backgrounds and overlays, which makes it well worth it in the long run. Every other hotfolder solution I've found is very limited and usually only supports single images.

@@Twodudesphoto Yes it's for business, but it's my first photo booth (despite 25 years of event photography) in August. I'm fine with single image on a 4x6. I want to keep it simple. I'll have an assistant culling, printing, and matting. I like the idea of the QW410.

    Can you print 2x6 photos?

    • @Twodudesphoto
      @Twodudesphoto  Před 6 měsíci

Unfortunately, you cannot, although I believe there may be perforated paper so you can print a 4x6 print and manually tear it in half
