  • HOW TO TEST FAN MODULE CONTROL BOX ?
    ►► Ms908p Scanner: amzn.to/2LCi9AG
In this video we will demonstrate how to test radiator fan and radiator fan control module. We used MS908P Scanner to test the cooling fan control module. This procedure will work on most modern cars. In some cases you will be able to test the different speeds as well. As you can see this fan control module has 8 different speeds.

    Hi,
That's a cool device. It's just more expensive than I thought, but seems tremendously useful. I have a Toyota Sienna 2011 and when I try to turn on the ac nothing shows up on the screen nor the fan starts. When I press the fan up or down, nothing is shown on the screen nor the fan starts. This only happens for the front. The back works OK. Thx.

wtf? ok, so how do you test the module without one of these complicated pieces of mo-shinery. do you not think that someone willing to lay out the cash to buy one of these diagnostic computers would be a fairly good mechanic and would know how to do a basic test on a fan module? although there may be a small number of people with more cash than sense and plan on buying one of these and then learn how to use it, but more likely than not would end up turning their car into a 4000 pound paper weight without prior training. this video is totally useless to someone without this diagnostic machine? so, what was the motive in posting this? after watching this i still have no idea of how to test the fan module. guess i'll just unplug it and see how the fan and motor reacts.

At first I thought buying such tools would make things a lot easier but I was so wrong. I use a similar tool of the same brand probably a low end with the same interface and I have an issue with my VW Polo 1.2 petrol where the radiator fan runs loud as soon as I turn the engine on and stays on at full speed (more than it should) and then the dash lights, headlights, radio display starts flickering. The fan turns off only when I swift the engine off. And this tool tells me to check the generator, battery, fuses and doesn't say anything about fan. All it tells me the voltage is low which I can see. I replaced the battery first and then the alternator and the issue is yet there.

Hi there, really need a second opinion. My focus fans are not working at any speed. I have changed the thermostat and housing at front of the engine. I have also changed the temperature switch. I wired my fan motor directly to the battery and it kicked in. I don't have a diagnostic computer to run your test but I have checked and the symptoms I'm having is the fan control module faulty. From your experience what would you think. Don't worry if it's wrong, I just haven't got £500 to give to the main dealer to rectify a fault that might take them 5mins lol

I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I've been on CZcams and searching on Google for help. Maybe someone here can help. This video doesn't show how to test the cooling fan module without a expensive scanning tool. Nor does it show how to replace it.
The problem is that my fan is not going at full speed when it needs to cool the engine down. Sometimes it doesn't turn on. I unplugged the fan and I ran it directly to my 20 volt dewalt battery that comes off my impact drill. The fan work perfectly well! So, I know there's nothing wrong with the fan. Now I'm trying to work my way back to the power source. The fuse is good. From the fuse to the module there has to be a.problem that's not allowing the fan to operate properly like it's supposed to.
Anyone have the same problem or has a solution? I was thinking about unplugging the fan and connect it directly to the headlights or something else so when the car turns on the fan turns on and is able to cool the engine down properly.
