you should never charge to 100% and leave the car unused. That will degrade your battery much much quicker. Only charge to 100% when road trips and do not leave car more than hour after fully charge to stay at that state. That will kill your battery. RTFM
@@NickDrivesATesla You can check the battery chemistry of your Model 3 by looking at the charge settings in the app - if the options include 50% and 100%, the vehicle has an LFP pack.
@@NickDrivesATesla Ok, thanks. I had a dual motor long range Model 3 2018 that I recently traded for a 2022 Model Y also dual motor long range. My M3 had 44,000 miles and also had about 10% degradation. I never stressed about it, as it would always have plenty of range to cover my 140 mile daily commute with only charging to 80%. Great car!
The answer is yes, they do. 10% degradation for the first year. Or for the first 45k miles. My 21 MYP holds max 275 miles. It’s rated for 303.
I have 4 other friends with similar degradation rates. Between 8-10%.
Also, this is with religiously proper charging etiquette.

Never will RTFM but thx for the message.
@@NickDrivesATesla BTW. you may charge to 100% always if you car is a STD range, battery is different.
Thx for the info. Which cars are std range?

Interesting...
Really is.
Not bad...only a few miles a year tho
Not bad at all.
Did you tell us how many miles on the car, or did I miss it? Relevant data.
I never mentioned it. 50k miles in a little under 4 years.
