Wait a minute so you British don't fly on the magic broom sticks and get owls to deliver your mail so sad I think I'm cancelling my trip now was really looking forward to butterbeer
Ive never have my n words in a twist.
Why show the leader of North Korea when the problems between the two countries goes back 100s of years?
What does NK have to do with SK? They are two different countries.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but in that stage most of the signs ARE written in Korean,(a few are in chinese, but that makes sense considering it's a market, and most of Korea's tourists come from China) and there ARE skyscrapers in the background.
Course, I didn't read the article, can't be bothered to find it l, and am very bad at Korean, so I can't really be sure if the translation you're going on accurately conveys their frustration with the character/stage.
As a native New Yorker, Capcom didn't capture my hometown right either. It's way too clean.
True. No garbage tins, dirty, old buildings, and no street rats

Apparently, many Brazilians really like Blanka. I’ve even read that many consider him their favorite character.
Brazilians are just happy to be represented in some way.
As a Brazilian, I've come to appreciate Blanka and we all kind of took a liking to him. It sucked when he was the only Brazil representative, but we got a pretty cool São Paulo in SF3 with Sean, Laura was pretty cool (although her Stage was a bizarre amalgamation of all Brazil stereotypes) and there's plenty of other cool Brazilian characters in other fighting games. Also, Blanka's theme in SF6 is Brazilian funk to a T and it slaps.
But it is a forest. And some guys that can duble jump
As an Spaniard i can confirm that we have cage fights while we play flamenco on the background
With Iron Claws too. Don’t forget hermano.

If you visit historical sites in South Korea, you’ll see Chinese characters because the Korean alphabet wasn’t implemented until the 15th century. The more “popular” areas of South Korea will certainly feature the Hangul writing system instead of Chinese characters.
Thank you, that’s really cool.
I suppose that fits somewhat with the area in the stage looking "archaic" too
Korean didn't use much Hangul for official writing until modern day, they still use Hanja/Chinese scripts to write official document and poetry.
Pretty much, although Hangul was invented for a few centuries, it didn't totally replace Chinese characters until much more recently. And furthermore, the Chinese on the banners are is a Chinese proverb, which are something that's still represented in traditional Chinese in modern Korea, similar to ancient Chinese poetry.
