    Thanks this motivated me to actually buy one. I do digital art and my biggest concern was being able to use my own images and not learn a whole new design space.
    Seems really easy to upload PNGs into it... Also Cancers Rock!

      Hope you’re enjoying the Cricut if you ever did buy one! ☺️

      @ yes absolutely love it for vinyl decals. I'm not sure how I feel about the shirts though. I have only made a few and the design peeled relatively soon. I was being very careful so not sure if that's normal or I did something wrong.
      I might actually get into silk screen printing because of it though. I get attached to my clothes lol. I have shorts (I need to learn to sow) and shirts from when I was in highschool 24 years ago. So making a custom shirt I don't mind if the image fades but the peeling is kinda annoying.
      If you have any suggestions on that it would be helpful. I'm buying the cricut brand vinyl. I even tried the sports vinyl on one shirt. It seemed to last longer.

    Does it have to be smart iron on ?

    •  Před rokem

      No it doesn't. I've used it with regular iron as well, but you have to be mindful of the different temperature settings for different materials.

    The actual tutorial starts just after the 6 minute mark. The first 6 minutes is a showcase of Cricut products, which should have been a separate video.

      My bad! This was meant to be more of a product review but I guess it ended up being a tutorial of the machine instead. I’ll keep this in mind for other product unboxing/review videos :)

    Hi. Can you please share the size of the mat if I want to use one with this machine?

    •  Před rokem +2

      You can use a 12x12” mat or a longer 12x24” mat for the Cricut

    i know it’s a bit later but i want to buy one soon, but can you put multiple colors using it?

    •  Před 3 měsíci

      You definitely can! This video only shows one colour but there’s lots of other videos on CZcams that show how you can use multiple colours for your design :)

    How well do the graphics stay on the clothing after washing?

    •  Před 10 měsíci

      I wear the shirt regularly and has already gone through multiple washes and it still looks the same. No signs of cracking since an iron on vinyl is definitely more durable compared to iron-on printable sheets (which don't last long based on experience).

    this is gonna sound stupid, i just got a cricut easy press 2, but do i need to have the cricut machine to print out labels and what i wanna put on the shirts and hoodies or can i use something else to print them out?

    •  Před rokem +1

      you don't need the cricut machine to print out design transfers :)

    • @badlands9100
      @badlands9100 Před 6 dny

      I wont t even need to by the press. I will use an iron from home- as long as using the correct transfer tape and vinyl. I will use my own computer and printer for my own decals and will do the same job. I will invest low and slow.

    Hi, I’m thinking about getting a Cricut, but I was wondering why you have to mirror the design hen making it?

    • @Bruce-hs3cr
      @Bruce-hs3cr Před rokem

      Bc if you don’t you’re design will be backwards

    • @Miss_Pandah
      @Miss_Pandah Před rokem +1

      For sticker vinyl (used for wood, walls, cups, etc) the sticky part is on the back so you cut it as is. For iron on vinyl the sticky part is actually on the front so you have to mirror it so it's not backwards

    So I'm very interested in trying this out I guess my question is how much will it cost to get everything I need to do my own designs?

    •  Před 9 měsíci

      There’s definitely ways to keep initial costs low when your just starting. I’d say the Cricut machine is the most important item to buy from Cricut to start making your own t-shirt designs. The Cricut Explore 3 can cost between $450-500 AUD (I live in Australia, I suggest looking at how much it costs for you locally). All the other materials such as the iron-on vinyl, heat press/iron and weeding tools can be substituted by other cheaper brands. If you also buy the Cricut machine on sale or second hand (like once Facebook marketplace), you can definitely keep the initial costs down.
      For creating your designs, there are other cheaper alternatives to Cricut Design Space such as free phone apps.
      There are tons of ways to reduce the initial costs if this would be more for fun or a hobby. If you’re looking to do it professionally, there’s lots of other brands/tools that are considered better for efficiency.

    hey for some reason my smart iron on doesn't stick to my t-shirt after heat pressing

    •  Před 10 měsíci

      I find that it sometimes takes longer than the recommended time for heat pressing for the vinyl to fully stick. Make sure to also press down and press the back side of the t-shirt. If you think you've tried it all and done everything correctly, it may be a manufacturer fault 🤔

      You can see that her Cancer design also doesn't really stick properly at the bottom and on the left side or the banner. Having owned a million trillion band and graphic shirts throughout the years I've found that you can just put down a bit of parchment paper and use a regular iron to re-stick these kinds of designs.

    You need to use a mat

    •  Před 2 lety +5

      you do need to use a mat unless you’re using Smart materials (which are made by Cricut themselves) in which case you don’t need to use a mat
