Problems with boxing:
-too many belts
-rankings don’t make sense
-too many fighters want to fight in Vegas
-fighters fight once a year or two years
-too expensive PPV prices
-fighters don’t care about self promotion
-fighters just want a payday
-fighters ducking real smoke
-Juicing
-Weight cuts too extreme sometimes
-bad refereeing (sometimes fixed)
-boxing isn’t that mainstream
-boxers pulling out of fights due to injuries or other lame excuses
But one reason that may be big for me is that I sorta think some boxers are boring too to where their personality isn’t that entertaining to keep watching them.
Majority of the points you made only apply to a few fighters. For the most part the sport is in a good place now.
JUDGING AND ROBBERIES ARE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM ! They happen so often and everyone forgets about it in a week

Shakur needs to rematch de los Santos like any elite fighter would after the way that fight went. You SAS and casual fans should have a problem with the fact that shakur is in his third weight class and has yet to become the smaller man. And one more thing mr SAS, when your the faster, bigger more athletic fighter and your style is to go backwards, its dam near impossible for you to lose. If a fighter wants to fight like that fine, but don't cry when no one wants to fight you or pay to see an amateur style in the pros. Go watch a fight between ali and Frazier or any fight before 1980 and ask yourself when did this become the sport of to hit and not get hit? That style is acceptable when its David vs Goliath or when you're holding your ground in the pocket like floyd, james toney or even canelo. These fighters use head movement ducking and dodging while countering. Shakur is all gas going backwards and even thought he was cute wearing highlighter green track shoes vs de los Santos but it backfired

1:45 what do you mean how does it make sense? Stephen just do what normal humans do and use the ring. They aren't the same as the other 3 letter belts. you know this. the other systems don't allow champions from other belts to be ranked eg. You will not see Tank ranked in the IBF rank nor will you see Shakur ranked in the WBA system but Frank appears in both. and is 5th in the Ring, just ahead of Shakur at 4 and Tank at 2.
Belts systems are for profit. Each belt system makes money on title fights. you have to be a ranked contender in a belt system to even be eligible for said fight. Then for said title fight you pay your fees. If you don't plan on fighting their champions or promotional issues might block that, they might consider that while adjusting rankings. I'm not saying it's effective but it's certainly financially crystal clear why some fighters are positioned in certain ways to orchestrate different fights. it's not complete manipulation but sure there's some greasing of wheels and good will going on.

Hi casual fan here. It seems to me that boxing is about boxing only people you can beat to make money. Not boxing people that will challenge you. By the way. Stephen Smith , you were absolutely wrong about Tank seeing as the best with high knockout rate. Gervonta Davis is not taking top competition or formidable opponents. That's why his knockout rate is high. Once he man up and take better competition in the likes of Shakur Stevenson, Teofimo Lopez, Haney, etc., that knockout rate will drop AND he'd most likely be beaten by either of those top guys
