I told you so... - Zábava
Blizzard just being blizzard in 2024, nothing to see here
2 or 3 people talking to themselves on twitter sure showcases the entire community i guess.
no more bragging rights.... feels bad man!
Not true, the Remix mounts aren’t the originals in color and name so there’s enough of a distinction to know when someone is riding the original.
They are recolored versions of the original mount and as someone who farmed some of the originals, I am happy the majority of players can enjoy an alternate version of these cool mounts.
Also, MoP Remix would have been a massive flop if it weren’t for the mounts. Nobody should be complaining.
I knew this kinda thing would start happening more often once the trading post started. That said, I wasn't one of those people who would farm for an item over 20 kills so was never going to be screwed over as hard as others.
Basically, there was a point where Blizzard flipped the "nothing you own in this game means much" switch and I noticed it early on. It sucks, but when a company is desperate to retain players and create new avenues of monetization, it's bound to happen.
In my opinion that just means is less things I need to farm 😂. WoW has a large variety of things to farm.. now I can focus in other things.
I never grinded the mounts hard in retail, but they do feel cheap to me given how easy they were to get in remix. However, I am content with getting tusks. They required a bit more effort and it's only a (very cool) shoulder mog, and I hardly play plate classes anyway. I always felt that they were WAAAY too rare during original MOP, they should have been closer to 5% drop, somewhat like Thori'dal for example.
I mean they lowered the drop chance long ago, even a very short period where right after that change it was accidently 100% drop chance. Also its a rare drop, not like something that is earned through challenging content, merely rng. These people realize that there are ALOT of players that just killed SHA and got it on their first go right, any sense of pride that held up over time of them farming it knowing that fact would/should still hold understanding that there are those that just farmed a currency to buy it. That doesn't change anything unless the only thing you tie to the perceived value/prestige of a mount being a randomized drop chance, in which case just like those that killed it once and got that mount and it didnt effect your drive to "farm" kills to get it, this changed shouldn't either. We find value in the things we deem worth our time and attention, if you find value in the farming of a mount over a long period killed multiples of times for a chance at a drop, stick to it and tray not to let others "short cuts" belittle your enjoyment, it didnt before, try not to let it now.
Exactly right. Farming legacy World boss mounts is nothing more than sitting at a spawn with alts and pressing one button over and over.
everyone feels this way...dont lie people
There's actually no point to farm mounts anymore cuz you don't know if blizzard is just gonna do another remix and make them buyable lmao.
If you’re stupid enough to wait each end of expansion patch for it, sure
As they should. World boss or legacy achievement mounts require 0 effort or skill. It’s a patience or luck game.
It wouldn’t be a problem if the rarest mounts weren’t so cheap. Infinitely cheaper than upgrading gear.
I’m one of those people who is glad to have the mounts, and weirdly enough they mean just as much to have. I was trying to get these for so long it feels like I earned it. 😂Just a personal opinion.
Buying stuff means I can move onto something elsw
good change that we can buy it now :P
My rng in this game is terrible, also not to mention always missing out on game bugs like when Evoker got a 100% drop rate on mounts… there’s a billion things to farm in this game so if I can grind for a couple things I’m happy. Not everyone has time to do all these things weekly on multiple characters just to get lucky!
It was never about getting the mount for those people, it was about ruining it for the people who did have it.
Ruining what? I have most of the Panda mounts and am thrilled that they are finally obtainable to the majority.
There’s nothing prestigious about legacy world boss mounts and the Remix variants aren’t even identical anyway.
@@brandonkruse6412 Did you even watch the video, he told you exactly why.
@@shawnsmith2241
Doesn’t mean I agree with him. These mounts are a decade old. There’s zero prestige or accomplishment behind one shotting old world bosses.
Not to mention, they didn’t put the old mounts on Remix. They are different in cosmetic and name. If you own the original, you still have a different mount than what’s sold on Remix.
I would maybe understand if they copy/pasted the exact mount model, but there’s enough of a distinction to not ruin the collector aspect.
that's implying they were ever cool in the first place, literal recolors of other existing mounts that don't require a slot machine to obtain, getting them from a vendor is still better
Except myself and others are glad to finally move on from farming these mounts in retail? It's almost as if a playerbase this large will have multiple dislikes/likes and differences in general. The event has been fun even outside of cosmetics.
1:52 you can't not... You think you do but you don't
this is why ill never come back to retail. Every update, every new expansion since Legion, every new zone and grind, and everytime I log in, the game feels meaningless and lifeless. None of my favourite characters are even alive anymore in WoW.
Did you play Dragonflight? I felt the complete opposite overall. The zones are nice, dragon riding is super enjoyable and there aren’t many terrible grinds.
No extra bowered power systems or terrible grinds in general and they put normal difficulty raid gear on a vendor that you can target farm with currency dropped from LFR.
Its Joever
I got all before Shadowlands and Love Rocket i dont See why that IS a Problem there are plenty of Other mounts to get i Play since bfa 8.1.5 and i must say after having 1044 Mounts its fine to make stuff easier there is tons of Other stuff which is by far worse to Farm and people dont even know, Most people anyway If they dropp or get something will Put new Goal or Stop(come Back later)
For me i personally give Feedback only after obtaining stuff so Other people have IT easier but i See all this "Prestige" crying and hey i got First i worked Harder so you Not allowed to have IT, you need Work Same hard AS me , i dont know but your grandparents and parents would BE happier too If stuff would get easier in Future for you even If its Just obtain a Car or PC.
And PvP people have Same mindset in wow only because this is Bad Game/Lobby for me i will AFK let everyone waste there time(why Not try best of worst Case) Like whats wrong with all of them
The importance of having a cool mount is archaic.
It became obsolete whenever players got access to almost 1000 mounts (if there are not more in the game) and half of them are recollors.
People just found a new way to complain about something.
lol retail
I liken it to beating a boss in a video game that just keeps wiping the floor with you because of cheesy or badly designed mechanics. Once you beat it, there's no feeling of satisfaction, only a feeling of "thank god I don't have to do that anymore." Some people like that scenario, some people don't.
Yea the sense of accomplishment from one shotting a mob once every week for a couple of months... (or once if your lucky) for a mount that is overall kinda meh in a version of wow where there are nearly a 1000 mounts in it. Bronze was a great idea espeically for mount that was just a weekly farm that will likely sit in your mount tab to never be seen again after the first week
Exactly! World boss or legacy achievement mounts mean nothing if you farmed them years later.
It’s nothing more than just luck and patience.
I'm glad that I could buy them. Some like Huolon were impossible to get on retail with the competition. I'm beyond glad I don't have to waste 50+ hours of my life on getting them. The complete collection is the goal, not an individual mount.
"I'm a bit sad that my farm is over." Many collectors who farmed for years say otherwise.
Don't get me wrong, it is cheap to be able to just buy something super easily. BUT, a middle ground can exist where the goal is guaranteed, but it takes time and dedication to get it. FFXIV handles this way better than WoW does. (They also probably could've made the rare drops more expensive and require the Bones of Mannoroth maybe?)
The mounts are easily obtained in retail now... I personally would only buy raid and dungeon mounts from remix
@@adamsasser5574 My main priority with remix was everything that would be unobtainable to get after the event's done (all of the non-raid mounts and the Garrosh heirlooms).
I think mounts in retail are hit-or-miss in terms of being challenging to get. Never, at any point in WoW's history, does having a rare drop mount make someone special. The challenge is the content itself, not the mount. RNG isn't challenging, it's just potentially very time-consuming.
Mythic raid mounts would be an example of something that's challenging to get when it's during its expansion, along with various achievement-based mount rewards.
@@adamsasser5574 people say they easy obtainable but you would never find sha or other world bosses alive cause they been creeped out by like forever. pandaria is unfarmable in open world.(retail)
It’s literally the same as FFXIV? You don’t get the mount on the drop? You get the currency that’ll eventually guarantee you the mount.
@@Fabriciod_Crv Yeah there's no currency in WoW that you get in order to buy a mount. MoP: Remix is a very new experiment from Blizzard and handles the idea of a currency differently than FFXIV does. From what I've been told, you have to run the raids in FFXIV numerous times in order to get enough of said currency to get the mount guaranteed, but it's still a farm with an end in sight. Remix's handling of currency is very different, because the currency comes from literally everything all the time and can be grinded out fairly quickly, depending on how powerful people in the groups are.
Outside of MoP: Remix, WoW's raids have never been like that. For instance, in order to get the regular Fyrakk mount skin you have to get lucky or buy it off of someone else who got lucky, plain and simple.
Participation trophies for all!
Your trying to explain the TikTok generation why completionists don't like this. They are here for their dopamine hits and the 10 seconds high it gives them before moving on to the next shiny thing. Any real effort put in is too much and since they lack the capacity to actually think about anyone put themselves its pointless to even try and explain why this is bad. Its actually sad reading some of these comments when talking about a video game. Which is literally made to waste your time. Same reason why they can't understand why the "micro"transactions ruin the game. But yeah. This was it for me. Now I know I'm wasting my time and its better to just wait for another remix run or when they are on sale at the trading post. No point in grinding anything now since it will eventually be trivialized to give the ADHD junkies their fix...
>Which is literally made to waste your time.
Why do you think these mounts were low drop rate in the first place?
@@Fabriciod_Crv Or hey why have drop chances at all? Why not just have everything always drop for everyone?........
@@1991kessu it’s objectively better to put in the work for an item and eventually get it than it is to spin the slot machine of one shotting the each week which requires no effort or skill to do. Loot boxes have been canned for this exact reason.
Farming legacy mounts requires 0 effort or skill. Unless you obtained the mounts during the expansion, there’s nothing prestigious about getting a lucky world boss drop that you got by sitting on spawns for months with alts.
The people who still swear by retail wow are in the same bucket to me as flat earthers. They're so far removed from reality, there's no convincing them.
people still play for carrots
i stopped doing that when i was 12 and realized the best feeling was beating strong enemies in wow, thats how i never quit, evenif "the new pvp tier set elitè looks bad" CAUSE I DON'T A FK
It's hard to separate from the chase items at times. For some people that's the whole game to them, which I can't say I'm a part of. I fall more in the middle - I like becoming really powerful, but once I've done that then I swap to being a partial completionist. I think modes like Remix are a step in the right direction for WoW, in regards to collectors. There's still a load of improvements to be made though.
Kind of like all the TCG mounts that they give away for twitch prime. Imagine having collected the TCG cards for years, and getting cool mounts from it. Only for it to be given out for free years down the road :(
Farming mounts with 0.1% on old content that you could just ONESHOT means NOTHING TOO. Sooooooo I don't agree. Let the people have the old stuff. Make the new things difficult.
I feel like i can move on from Pandaria content now that the game has respected the time I've put into it. Old stuff is just that. I like the looks of the Onyx and Cobalt Thundering Serpents, and now that I have them I can move on
Most braindead take
@@akpade braindead is still believing flexing some virtual pixels is cool
Nooooooo my pixels :(
Experiment done. They were too cheap even for this event that is my main complain.
Another problem is with HOW cheap they are. At first I thought they cost 380k, then I noticed they merely cost 38k.
You know what? I need to run 1 SoO and 1 Throne of thunder and I can buy 2 mounts. This takes 1 hour in total. 1 hour… 2 mounts!
Why dfq did they even buff Bronze gain now? The handling of this event has been a shitshow from the start. I only subscribed for remix, will stay now for cata classic and quit after firelands. No trust whatsoever in The War Within if this is how things are handled.
Xaryu you're not a mount collector so i don't think you know what you're talking about here
Xaryu is still clueless about this lmao. Actually becoming a reactionary streamer with dogwater takes.
Microtrasactions is trash no matter how you twist and turn it, cancer of video games
How is he clueless why should everybody get handed something that rare that other people have spent months farming? If everybody has those mounts now what was the point of farming them before the remix came out lmao.
@@jeffharness5163 Because farming for months was never good in the first place? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
@@Fabriciod_Crv Ya lets take away the grinds in an mmo mr rocket scientist so that people have no reason to play.
@@jeffharness5163 they’re still 38k, you need to grind quite a bit for them, difference is you aren’t spinning a slot machine for weeks/months/years which was never good design. Also it’s not a bad thing to be “done” with an mmo, go touch some grass or even play another game, so many good shit came out the last year alone.
