I did two auditions with the evoke 30's...once with a marantz model 30 and second with a pass labs (model unknown)...I prefer them (in a significant way) to the special 40's...I didn't hear any clouding in the details vs the sp40... it just sounded more enveloping and full-spectrum...I wouldn't put this in a small room though (room nodes)...but for your average European livingroom, this is a perfect fit...great WAF btw...
I ordered those speakers and now I have second thoughts. There are many nice speakers within 2kEuro price range to have, I have M2si amp...WIll they work fine with it? I liked the sound demo of Evoke 20 with exposure 3010s2d amp...they sound lovely- better than Monitor Audio Gold 100. I just hope Evokes 30 will give more air and dynamism over 20s. Are you happy with above setup or you still lookin?
I think the Evoke 30 is a great speaker. It’s very airy and has a big soundstage. I have not tested them with musical fidelity, but I can’t imagine that it won’t match. The only thing I can think of is the bass. If it gives you the control and definition you want.

Honestly it’s too upfront and aggressive sounding for my taste. It sounds great on good recordings but it needs careful matching with source and speakers. Dynaudio was a great match, but only with great recordings. I also think the elevated upper bass is too much for my taste. I have not heard any amplifier punch like the SN3! Like always it’s a matter of taste

It would be interesting to compare the Evoke 50 as opposed to the 30 with your Audiovector R3 as their price point is much closer.
I really want to test the Evoke 50s, but first I’m going to tryout amplifiers. I really like my Audiovectors😊.

I think you get better value for money with the 5, but in absolute sound quality I’m not sure.. I have not tested them head to head.
