Honestly it’s too upfront and aggressive sounding for my taste. It sounds great on good recordings but it needs careful matching with source and speakers. Dynaudio was a great match, but only with great recordings. I also think the elevated upper bass is too much for my taste. I have not heard any amplifier punch like the SN3! Like always it’s a matter of taste

I think you get better value for money with the 5, but in absolute sound quality I’m not sure.. I have not tested them head to head.

I think the Evoke 30 is a great speaker. It’s very airy and has a big soundstage. I have not tested them with musical fidelity, but I can’t imagine that it won’t match. The only thing I can think of is the bass. If it gives you the control and definition you want.

I think it’s difficult to compare the two because of the differences in size and price. The Rubicon’s is normally used in my tv setup with sub, driven by Lyngdorf amp with rom perfect. It’s a great setup. For music R3 is my favoritt !

The Naim streamer is setup with fixed analog output. Volume is controlled by the amplifier.

Hi, the biggest difference to me is that the supernait gave me listening fatigue with my speakers. It was too forward, and upper bass heavy. The x3 has neutral, more relaxed presentation of the music. Very detailed and controlled bass. Soundstage is big and precise. Lots of details. It’s also very quiet. On the negative side ; it’s big and heavy 😅.

@@Hifi-Glory2955 Get that coffee table out of there. One reason of higher frequency fatigue. Remove and watch the sound ease a bit. Should be more realxed with a touch of warmth.

The biggest difference between R3 and Evoke 30 in my humble opinion: Evoke 30 is a great speaker for its size. Great highs and I love the sound stage. It was a great match with the supernait. It had great mid base punch. But not real deep bass. R3 has some more forward soundstage. Bass is deep and accurate. It plays a lot louder without breaking up. It’s not as polite and can be more fun to listen to. It’s easy to drive and can be placed closer to boundaries without smearing up the base. For low level listening, I preferred evoke. R3 it’s better at higher sound levels. Size does matter😅I could easily live with both, but I decided to keep the Audiovector. But I really want to test out Dynaudio Contour 30i. I really like dynaudios midrange and treble. I hope it all makes sense, but don’t trust me. Trust your ears.😊

@@Hifi-Glory2955 Try to find a used pair of Dynaudio Heritage in the $5k range. For me they are one of the best speakers Dynaudio has ever made. I've heard the Contour 20 and thought it was kind of bland. The sound stage is very much in the background. The sound is very flat, soft and bland. But for those who like superior refinement, the Contour are excellent. But it's not my kind of sound. I prefer Evoke 30, MA Gold 200 5G, KEF R700, Elac Vela FS408, Buchartd S400 MK2. I have the KEF R700 with a Cambridge 851A + IFI ZEN DAC. I've heard the Arcam SA30, Marantz Model 30 and Cambridge Evo 150 with the Evoke 30, KEF R700, Elac Vela FS408 and Buchartd S400 MK2 and I liked them all. Maybe I'll trade the KEF R700 for the Evoke 30 or Vela FS408 which have a warmer sound. The KEF R700 are more analytical. But quite refined and smooth even at higher volume. The MA Gold 200 5G are also excellent. But I prefer the signature R700, Evoke 30 and Vela FS408. I also recommend the ATC SCM19 V2. And I still want to hear the Revival Atalante 3 and 5. They say they are excellent boxes.

I really want to test the Evoke 50s, but first I’m going to tryout amplifiers. I really like my Audiovectors😊.
