@@Diana734 he would have stayed out of the conflicts between men, maybe intervening when he encounters soldiers trying to pillage/rape a village. But if he were there in the throne room with Dany after she murdered Kings Landing, I think he definitely would've put an end to her.

@Lucas Agnehall A Witcher’s code is a very finicky and flexible thing since all Witchers make their own codes and break them to either suit their needs or protect people from other people. Take the Viper school for a loose example: they are quite literally assassins with Witcher powers and they (at least in the games) have taken jobs to murder royalty, granted it was either that or be wiped off the face of the continent. Or take Geralt who earned the “butcher” moniker by killing a gang of raiders to stop them from murdering an entire town square to lure out a sorcerer. All in all they have done the kinds of brutal work necessary to kill a tyrant like Dany became in season 8.

@@matildeeleonoramicciche7175 well to be fair... in books, emhyr almost destroy "destiny plans" by let ciri go back to yennefer and geralt... when he could easy kill them both, and stake ciri as his wife and mother of "god child". who open portals to inner worlds. But he stoped himself from this. Because in the end, he was not able to hurt his daughter more than life hurt her by all this time...

Battle Cubes not so much random deaths but deaths are meant to show how everyone in the Witcher universe can be vulnerable. Even geralt with all his super enhancements loses sometimes and at times even powerless. Renfri dies? What of it? Kings and mages dies why can’t she?

It's about harsh and unforgiving world. But its focus shouldn't be on heroes deaths
Netrunner yeah i agree it doesn’t focus on heroes dying. I was just saying that even powerful people dies in the books so no one is invulnerable. And you know what I’m talking about. I read somewhere that Sapkowski doesn’t like killing off characters because he doesn’t think the fans would appreciate that.
If I had to choose between Henry And Geralt....then I prefer not to choose at all.

I’m 6 episodes in!!! Absolutely loving it!! Henry Cavill’s swordplay is phenomenal!! One of the best if not the best swordplay I’ve seen in a movie/tv series.

Henry Cavill emphasised in Dance + Sword training because Geralts' School of Wolf Sword style is a real mixed of those style. As a big fan, caville also emphasised on having the least possible stuntman sub scenes as he can.
Fun fact tho
The night king actor from got was the one designing the sword scenes in the witcher, he’s a great stuntman and he also did a lot of swords stuff in got like Ned’s fight at the tower and some of the battle of the bastards scenes

Witchers are trained to not kill dragons. But protect them for they are so rare, and sentient. They show this in I believe episode six. So I dont think she'd be afraid of him. Shed probably call him brother.

this tribute makes me very emotional, a few years ago I was at the worst point of my life mentally and I was going to take my life, but then I found The Witcher 3, and it was the only joy I had left in this world and after that I played it for years upon years, hours upon hours on end, I played it every day, and to see something like this takes me back to that time and it makes me feel grateful about life and everything with it, and this show is as good as that game, and just hearing in the end part a lot of the stuff they call him, that's where it hits the hardest, so thank you very much for making this tribute about Geralt of Rivia, he is a legend and will always be.
I know where you are coming from. Many years ago I was in a similar place and the only thing that got me through each day was listening to the Ziggy Stardust album, by David Bowie, over and over again. Just mentioning it to say this, I hope you are doing well now and best wishes in the future.
I don't get how anyone could dislike this. This is an incredible edit and would make an excellent promo trailer for the first season upon the dawn of the 2nd season.

They think they can just do whatever with a story we deeply love, they think they can milk us for money by replacing the one we like, they don't give a damn about the wishes and feelings of their own fans, but in the end they won't collide with nothing but hatred for what they've done... @@bbaerga121697 True, but it lacked everywhere else, the dialogue specifically. Outside of a few key moments, I honestly can't remember much about the show (and I just finished it yesterday). The pacing was off a bit, some casting choices just didn't vibe with me, etc. Overall, it's a pretty average first season; not bad, not great. Just average. But Vikings (a show that I personally love far more than Game of Thrones; Ragnar Lothbrok practically carried that show on his back) had a pretty average first season. There's always room to improve in the next.

The show didn,t really explain anything about the witcher world in depth and just kept on saying nouns of places and things that was not explained as well in the books or the games. This essentially results in the world feeling shallower. Subjectively there are too many unnecessary changes such as with King Foltest. Why? And also why was Ciri or Yennifer needed. They could have kept 5 episodes for Geralt this season and the other 3 for Yennifer.
Some negatives are true. It's not that bad of course but they stript some character of their Sapkowski's magic. Even Geralt.
