It's Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam summoning a yellow lightning on the Arcane Insight

I would definitely be more excited about a NSU5 being played than a Cryptic Research 4. The best card from anyone's deck that fits the situation is better than 3 random ones. NSU5 doesn't get played to negate a bad draw; it's played to blow away whatever problem the group is facing at that particular moment.

I actually like Eidetic Memory, and I like NSU5 in Joe Diamond specifically. I'm not somehow who typically builds decks to draw the entire deck several times a game though, so that's probably why

Agree 100%. I'm not someone who plays recursion often or feels the need to do so. I have used Eidetic Memory and Cryptic Research to great effect without abusing the game. An auto fail seems harsh. Still love the reviews though, lol.

No stone unturned is (especially) good for Mandy. My group appreciated it several times. Otherwise, def overcosted

It's good for any investigator that wants to build their deck around their signature card. Like Minh for example, you can basically guarantee you'll see her signature turn 1 every game. Or you can make sure Zoey always gets her cross, Jim always gets his trumpet, etc.

You feel very bad when Cryptic draws you one (or godforbid, multiple) of your weaknesses. NSU doesn't do that.

I think that the teamwork aspect for NSU5 is very overlooked. This to me is a another copy of a high exp fighter card. Why? My fighter usually needs all of the exp they can get, i as a seeker do not. I also have a whole lot more draw then them. Hence i can basically draw their 5 exp weapon for them, faster than they could, and also they do not need another copy so they spend exp on sth else. And if they drew a card? Well then you hold it until there is some other specific situation that needs one specific card.
Basically, if you use this for yourself, autofail. If you use this for your team, +1 imo

If I move after playing it, will it reduce the shroud of my new location - as it is now "my location"?

No stone unturned... well unless you are darkness from konosuba, maybe you don't want to give your all for the scenario...

Ok hear me out. Maybe Eidetic memory is good for the deck cycling style, but only because it lets you remove 2 cards from your own deck, thus thinning it for future cycles? Probably not worth 3xp, but maybe if you were to play it nowadays, that would be the way

So what are you removing from your deck to cycle into the next lap? Your worst events that you don't want to recycle I guess. Seems awful compared to just dedicating that space to drawing more cards.

There's an infinite combo here, I know it.
