I like the coinns very much.I live near a town here in the u.s. that was settled by the Swiss in the late 1800s.The name of the town is Helvitia.Now I know where the name came from.Very informative and interesting.

Was wondering if you could tell me about the 1850 Helvetia, with what looks like a wreath at bottom of wreath are letters BB I think this would be the reverse? Whoops! Forgot to mention there is a 5 in the middle of the wreath.

Sadly anything after 1967 is not silver
I have a single one franc Helvetia coin.... though I have several on order. I haven't been able to locate them in lots, though, only as individual coins. Since they are supposed to be common coins, I found that strange,,, then I realized that "common" in Europe does not necessarily mean "common" in the USA.

Which years are silver is there a range?
I have a 2 fr. 1994 Helvetia coin, looks just like the one you are showing except obviously different date. Is it worth anything? thanks
They have about 8 grams of silver in (assuming it is dated before 1967) so it will be worth about $5 in silver melt value alone. I have bought these for about £5 per coin on ebay before.
I just re-read your comment - 1994 is your date - it is not silver - so worthless I am afraid!
