Cars bikes and chill I prefer to see videos of my own car by now. Have so many in car laps that it’s refreshing to see how the car drives and acts on track.
radyabagaskara carrera gt at nordschleife (channel is maxoge). Its cool to watch that one first and then this video. You can really see how this guy in the 911 is pushing him to go faster. Love both videos
Great driving! Your lines are sharp and braking on point. Seems like everyone else is cruising and just both of you and the carrera GT were driving for proper times.
Great video. Very well done GT3 Driver @CKn4S. The CGT acceleration is outstanding but traffic negated that advantage much of the time and when it was head to head on the twisty bits the GT3 driver bested the CGT handily. Bravo!
CKn4s This video made my day. Man what an incredible show of patience and skill. Well done to both of you. I really enjoyed when the CGT got a little loose in the end and you shook your head. LMAO
Fantastic. Really nice driving and so refreshing to see a a GT3 with a proper old school manual shift being used as Dr Porsche would have intended, not stuck in a garage. Hopefully will take my Cayman to the 'Ring some time soon.
juzaili jasmay Thanks for the question. The car is fitted with a full Nitron 3 way adjustable coil over suspension set up and fully rose joined bushes. All the work and geometry set up was performed by @Teamschirmer The car is complied and road legal in Germany with all the bits being approved with TÜV
CKn4s tq for your answer bro, the car shows good handling and point perfectly. Setup is superb. With full rose joint can you still drive on the road? Fyi im driving a similar car like you but with stock suspension. Its due for upgrading. 😁
juzaili jasmay this car was already on a full Bilstein cup suspension when I bought it. So it has always been a beast on the road, but I think it is still manageable as it is set up now and I certainly don’t mind driving it around on German roads. Perhaps if the road surfaces where worse I would use it less on the street.
The guy in the Carrera GT might have been frustrated a bit with you hanging onto his million dollar supercar like a mosquito. No denying it is a great car and certainly rarer than the GT3 you drive but the 911 is an equally cracking machine. Edit to add below: I think you're qualified enough to asnwer me so let me ask you, have you driven the 997 mk2 GT3? Which one would you choose given the choice?
Max and I had connected before the trackday so he was aware I was behind with a rolling camera. Check his view on his Maxige78 channel. I prefer the 997.1 myself for track driving. The way it needs revs and goes to the redline is intoxicating and the little extra speed the 3.8 engine adds means nothing to me. I drive for joy not times. Also the 3.8 engine is significantly more thirsty in my experience. 15-20% more fuel used in day to day driving.
@@ckn4s344 Thanks for your opinion. I'm looking to get myself a GT3 and it just has to be a 997. Any mods done to yours? Like you, I prefer the mk1's motor for its more revvy nature but I heard the aero on mk2 produces more downforce, do you reckon the difference is enough to be noticed on track?
@@shshh-fw9eh I have no experience of the 997.2 on track - so can’t offer any input on this. The mods on my car in this video was a full 3 way adjustable Nitron suspension setup and geometry from Team Schirmer with rose bushings and other bits and sitting on a set of BBS E88 wheels with cup2 tires.
@@ckn4s344 It sounds like your car is set up properly, must be a beast. Enjoy one of the best sports cars of all time, and don't forget how lucky you're ;-).
tip001 it’s not a race. It’s about going out and having fun and bringing your car home safe. The shear pleasure and enjoyment I had from this lap behind a Carrera GT on the greatest racetrack in the world can probably not be explained.
Props to the carrera GT driver too for not keeping that beast locked up like a garage queen and actually driving its nuts off on the green hell...
Sick car sick driving! Props to the CGT owner for driving his million dollar car like a savage
The downforce from the carrera gt is partially due to good aero and mostly due to the weight of the driver's balls
I don't know why they would design a deathtrap without TCS and Stability control.
Great driving from you both. What an experience that would have been. Loved the cheeky tail slide from the CGT at 10:21
Great job! Thank you for not adding horrible music.
SurfnSun I literally don’t know how to do that :o)
@@ckn4s344 The Mezger engine is music to my ears! Great driving.
@@porschephile2k3 cheers man - it does a good job this engine
Love the 6 speed manual. Even though I have never driven a 911, I would take the 997 gt3 over the 991 gt3 rs any day
Buttless Imp couldn’t agree more. This is a car I will never sell
for anyone interested the guy in the carrera gt was also recording and video is actually here on youtube
best thing about this video is that there is also a video of this exact same lap in that carrera GT on youtube
Cars bikes and chill I prefer to see videos of my own car by now. Have so many in car laps that it’s refreshing to see how the car drives and acts on track.
CKn4s i loved this video and the car but it just cool to watch both. See both drivers work their cars

Well done. Loved that. And kudos to the guy in CGT taking that valuable to the track and drive it hot. Although he was slowing you down there :)
Pavel Sich not really slowing me down. Max is an accomplished driver in his own right and in a car that weighs less and has 200 horses more.

At the end of the day - we are all still kids at heart. That slide was just a perfect touch to a great lap :o)
Brilliant driving and a brilliant machine! I need a Mezger Motor Porsche!!
I still pinch myself when I’m not driving this car myself and I realise that it’s actually mine. Even after 10 years ownership.
@@ckn4s344 I would too! Good for you my friend, that’s a dream car!! Enjoy it
Manual respect
I watched the CGT's view of this. Must have been insane to see these suddenly fly past you out of nowhere!

This was always the purpose I had in mind when buying the car. That’s not changing any time soon
great driving and nice view on that cgt! :D
What an awesome car and driver.
That's literally "chasing dreams"
Very much a pinch my arm I’m dreaming moment.

I like love all of Porsches GT3s but the CGT is for me a dream car everyone of them is something special! CGT= Traumwagen ❤️
CGT 60% and GT3 110% :-P
Cool Vid, Carsten. **thumbs up**
Super enjoyable to watch. Seemed to me like you had later breaking points, no?
I would do something to make the suspension settle on the bumps better.
This guy is a good driver. What a car
Great driver taking psm off 👏
Many thanks for the prise :o)
However, mine is a very early 2007 GT3 so there is no PSM, it's only traction control.
One day
Great car driving!!!
What tires do you have on the car? stock or 'track day'?
I was running a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport cup2 on the GT3
Great driving!
Did you smile on T13 corner?:D
what's t13
It's a bird.
Wow
Cheers
Certainly had to work harder to keep up! Great driving.
