    Just received my Helix Element Optics
    6-24X50...
    I can say this, the guys who invented this, Matt, and Ted and company have been in the airgun turf for YEARS. And the information coming from these guys comes from years of experience in field use...
    The box it comes in is very nice and protected, upon close inspection, the product looks like it's build like a tank build to last, and what else can one want from a warranty!!!
    I've used it and believe you me, for 399euros, you can't beat it!!

    Great looking glass. Since Ted was involved in the design, they must work well on airguns. I'm looking forward to putting one up against scopes at similar price points from industry-leading manufacturers.

      Already compared the Elements Nexus to the Arken EP5 specifically at 5-20x magnification and it was shocking to notice first hand that a $450 Chinese scope can actually be better than a $1500 Japanese scope. This isn't shilling, this is a fact. Just don't buy the Arken SH4 6-24x model. I got severe eye fatigue when using that one just like when I tried shooting behind the Element Helix.

      The new line of light weight Arken EPL4s 30mm with Japanese ELD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass have illumination with very similar specifications compared to the Element Helix models. The Element Helix has a very unforgiving eye box. The cheaper Arken EP4Ls may be a superior alternative. They are also made in China as do the Helix and Titan.

      People who actually understand the benefits of fine optics. For what ever reason, although the US is a shooting culture, we are far behind on the understanding of optics. the Germans for instance will tell you that the scope should be the higher price item than the fire arm. Why? because fine optics can bring out the very best in any shooting system. A lower priced Arm with fine optics can out shoot a very fine Arm with poor optics. Which we have in abundance. Our US builders rely on advertisement rather than fine systems.
      Are you listening Lupy? Sadly, we have really never been introduced to the better optics in this country. I use Zeiss. and have in years past faced ridicule for having a Zeiss on a PCP. Finally, those days are mostly gone. Airgunners are starting to pay attention. Especially those of us who use slugs and shoot at very long ranges.
      KnifeMaker

    • @mikel9162
      @mikel9162 Před 4 lety +3

      Just one example of what they do for you. I can actually watch in great detail the flight path of a slug from close int to its final destination. Clear and precise. Something you cannot do with inferior optics.
      Is the slug or pellet tail wagging? spiraling? Clean flight path? Without good optics, you will never know. Read mirage,? Well, can you with your scope?
      In night time varmiting, I can watch the slug find its target. No wondering if it was a good shot or not. A laser straight streak to the target in your mounted light. Plain as day. A nicer silver streak dead on target including impact.
      And finally, I can see the hits in a target even with a .22 at 200 yards. No spotting scope or endless walks down range to see where the shots are hitting.
      Is that a mouse at 100 yards in failing evening light? Poor optics, what mouse. Fine optics, that mouse has a nick in the left ear!
      It makes that much difference!

    How about a true 1 - 4X scope, with parallax adjustment down to 7 yards. A lot of airgunners are older and simply need sharper vision to enable shooting offhand, up to 25 yards. Too much magnification makes offhand shooting difficult because it causes wobble to feed back on itself.
    How crisp you scope is at 20X matters only when shooting from a rest. I hardly ever shoot from a bench, so it is wasted on me. Prone would work, but then I can't get up...
    Or, is it a case of, people equate magnification with value? I equate clarity with value, over magnification. Thanks for your consideration.

    I have a question, as I'm in Canada, and I would buy these scopes from a Canadian Dealer,..does that dealer ( or any dealer ) have the authority and ability to handle any warranty claim,
    in-house or does it have to be sent to the U.S. ?
    If a claim under warranty can't be settled at the Dealer level,.then that would be the 'deal breaker' for me.

    • @AirArmsHuntingSA
      @AirArmsHuntingSA Před 4 lety +4

      Reg Sparkes The problem is that in the case of a warranty claim, the scope would have to be put on a collimator any everything checked on a very precise level. For this to be done at dealer level would require every dealer to have this equipment and training. I think only a very very small percentage of scope dealers can do this, and if they do claim to do warranty work they are likely sending your product straight to the manufacturer anyway. So we see it as a benefit that the scope would come direct to us, it would save you the time of passing it through the dealers hands first before it gets properly tested👍🏻
