  • Concord is a new bike brand offered at Walmart. The Commutr is their new line of commuter ebikes, priced at $498. Walmart has been changing what affordable cycling can be with their mountain bikes and gravel bikes, now they're about to change what a budget eBike should be. These bikes are amazing for the price!

I worked at an ebike shop for about a year, and Walmart just annihilated the entry-level ebike market... I'm genuinely blown away.

  • @Studio23Media

    E-bikes hitting sub-$500 is incredible.

  • @jasondelarosa5457

One of my favorite shifters, it works so well and has a satisfying click. The lack of cutoffs is almost a deal breaker, when you need 100% stopping power I don't want the brakes fighting the motor.

Oh I forgot to tell you this
I order on line and it said 2 in stock low and below I get a email next day sold out ! Lol Well Walmart customer service did good went above and beyond they located a Concord ebike no where close to me this ebike was 3k miles away and they shipped this bike to me and they payed for shipping I got it in 3 days from Walmart! Talk about CS WOW ! And No Damage from shipping!! Impressive Yes !👍 😊

For what you showed, a jaw-dropping value for sure. I tried to Google the Concord brand to see about the cost or availability of a replacement battery, but came up empty. I do see an eerily similar battery on Amazon for $269. It seems like if you want a second battery, just buy a second bike and have a spare of everything else as well.đŸ€Ł

My biggest question is who makes the e-sytem for it? Without any aftermarket support, how many of these bikes will be a brick in 2 years?

The jet was Concorde, with an E. But since Commutr is missing its E too, I guess it's okay. 😄

  • @keithc1264

20 mile range is a deal breaker. 30 is minimum (imo).

  • @jamesweldon8118

I bought a e-bike made by gravity with lesser specs last October for about $900 😱 no rack, no light, no flush battery, worse tires. 250w motor. It does have a throttle though

  • @michaelmartin2276

I'm ready to give up my very good Schwinn Axum with upgrades for a good and reliable bike. Thanks for the great videos ! Keep peddling !

  • @kevinvandeventer8690

Game changer at this price point.

I've worked at many bike shops and all over in the bike industry. Every once in a while I stop in on this channel to see where department store bikes are at on the better end. This and many other products are truly incredible for the sport. I will always recommend people buy for a local shop, local private mechanic or even any of the big DTCs, but there are so many people that simply can't afford the bar to enter the industry. Bikes like this and the Ozark series make me so incredibly hopeful for the growth of the industry. The people that buy these will go on to hopefully upgrade and move into the mainstream parts of the industry. They'll vote in local elections for people that care about bike infrastructure, they'll join local groups and pay to maintain local trails. This will unquestionably hurt local shop business, but it's hard to overlook the increble volume of these being sold to people that other may not buy a new bike at all.

  • @Brother_Pugz

Oh... that step thru is on the list as soon as I see it in my local Walmart! Thanks Kev!😁

  • @johnnysalinas

Great video as always! I’ve only seen the white step-thru version at my local Walmart in Oklahoma. I’m gonna keep an eye out for the gray one. Thanks for sharing!

  • @user-ik7rz4gg8u

I'd like to see a review of this a year from now to see how well it holds up. Thanks for the review. ❀

Picking this up next payday was going to wait and get the lectric 3.0 but for the price and my commute this won’t be a bad option and will help me lose some weight, the included fenders will help with rain and it’s a great looking bike.

  • @JohnAfferty

Liking 27.5 ebikes also. Into middrive lately.

  • @Tarkov.

That 10Ah battery should be pretty reasonable! I also like how compact it seems, one of the downsides of the design of my Sondors is that it catches wind like a sail.
