A lot of people don’t realize that in most competitive shooting sports the tears count. It simply is what it is. Good, bad, indifferent. Thems the rules. Still hellacious shooting, and sometimes the difference between a winner and first loser is a lucky tear. When I was shooting 3P small bore, there was a gal that shot a certain bullet profile that gave her bigger holes in the official paper. And it gave her a 3-5 point advantage. The problem was that to get a 10x, it had to be perfect, because a 10x by definition couldn’t happen if the outside edge of your bullet hole touched the 9 ring. And that’s how I beat her in finals. 😁
I’ve seen some pretty bad shots being called good, which makes me wonder, if favoritism also exist in archery. I always wonder if one could Challenge the shot.
Once a judge calls it then its over. I have heard of some very questionable calls at the big shoots when there's loads of money on the line. They seem to think they can "pull" a line like in a 3d shoot, LOL... I like Bodie, hes a good kid. His dad is a bit of a character though.
Competitive compound target shooting is MASSIVE. Where the heck have you been man? haha ... There is indoor 18m, outdoor 50m, ASA 3d shoots, IBO 3d shoots, outdoor field shoots. World Archery, NFAA and plenty of other organizations around the world. There are a pile of professional compound shooters that shoot their bows for a living. Vegas has around $100k for winning the shoot off... Lancaster is probably getting close to $50k for first place in the pro class. ASA winners often take home $15+ k per win after sponsorship contingencies. Its insanely hard to become pro, but what a career it would be to shoot bows!! Just shooting the small leagues is fun as heck. Definitely get into it. We need this sport to keep growing... There are usually different classes such as bowhunter and unlimited. For bowhunter class you do not need a target bow. Your hunting bow will suffice. Once I found the target world in 2016 I went all in and now have built up 2 target bows and have all the tools... Go link up with your local club and meet the target shooters and they should give you the low down on where they all go for tourneys. It was not until I shot league night where I met our local shooters and that's when a whole new world opened up to me and I have been hooked ever since. Good luck.
calm down turbo, just started shooting a few months ago solo. was excited to see this was a thing. aint prob stick to solo tbh. no point in making friends. just trying to shoot. @@Matt-jl8xf

How was that considered a 12? That arrow did not look like it was touching the line at all.
Pro tip for competitive archers. The bigger the arrow the most chances of hitting those lines. Watch me come in with a 6 inch diameter ballista lol
Bodie “The Machine” Turner
He was definitely closer but he missed it too.
HaHa, Damn Kid.
Should have been a reshoot

Looks to me like it broke the line right at 7 o’clock.
That didn’t look like it was touching the line.
The tear is what counts

Archery is broke if things are decided by not aiming at the middle of the target.
That's a miss
Def not in that 12
